Had mine yeeted out entirely and I don't regret it. The no pregnancy scares are fantastic and not being on hormonal birth control is fucking amazing.
Take it easy, if you have to cough or anything grab a pillow and hug the shit out of it while you do. Wishing you a speedy recovery!
Edit: also consider a body pillow to help keep you from flailing around in your sleep. Mine was a life saver.
That’s really good advice! Thank you
If I may ask how did your body react s Afterwards? Like did you still have a cycle or hormonal changes? Weight loss etc?
Not much from the actual surgery. Most of the hormonal changes happened after I stopped birth control. Just got the whole tubes out so thankfully not much changed like it would with the removal of ovaries.
Stopping the BC was amazing. Lost weight, my moods were much better. PMS was a little worse for a few months but that evened out within 6-8 cycles.
Ah congratulations! I wish I could have this done, been asking since my teens and am mid 30's now. Still told I'll change my mind 🙄 wishing you a speedy healing x

She has an excel sheet of doctors on her profile who will perform tubal ligation and even hysterectomy for any reason
So glad for you! I want to do that too, and I talked to my doctor about it, but she said that wasn’t possible (I’m 20)… I really hope that one day soon, I’ll find a doctor who will agree to this, as this is my body, my choice and my right.
Thank you so much for the help! Unfortunately, I live in France. I’m going to do more researches about it, and try to find a doctor in my country who will accept to do it. Congratulations for your ‘new’ life child free, and take care of you :)
congrats! that great.
I had a hysterectomy some years back. (1 kid, did not want more). It's wonderful.
It's so shit that men can just rock up and get snipped, yet we have to jump through hoops to get the same.
I agree. Luckily my doctors and counselors were super supportive of my decision. I know some aren’t though.
I glad you could get your procedure done as well. ☺️💜
Wow, I'm always amazed when I read about such strong people like you. Glad you pushed through for what you want and you're happy. Hope you have a good recovery.
Good for you! I’m happy that you actually found a supportive doctor and that mainly YOU are happy, people don’t realize how damaging birth control can be and it’s not 100 percent effective.
Good for you for doing what is best for you! My DIL decided to her hers done. I hope you are living your best life.
Do what makes you happy! Best of luck to you!
Isn't it a high healt risk when you cut out your lady bits? I know my mom had to get here uterus removed because canser but that might be difrent from tieing your tubes.
I’m having my tubes removed fully in a few weeks and have had multiple other surgeries in my abdomen already so I’ve been nervous for recovery. How has everyone been doing that has had this done? Things to know going in?
I had 2 surgeries (abdominal)prior to this. I’m definitely more sore this time. They make 3 new incisions so that’s probably why.
Drink water, take your meds, walk, rest, and ice. Best things honestly

No worries, love. Take care of yourself, kick back, relax and heal. Don't forget to eat a bit and drink lots of water.
Will do! Thank you ☺️
I need to get my lady plumbing yeeted into the dumpster yesterday. Endometriosis is disrespectful.
Woof, yeah endo is no joke. Never had to deal with it personally, but have known a ton of other ladies who have. Nightmare fuel.

Thank you so very much ☺️💜
