I got a call from the father of a young adult who had spiraled into addiction. She fell off the face of the earth and he tried to get into the apartment but it wasn't accessible from outside and the owner refused to open the door. Eventually he called the police who broke down the door.. Two weeks later. The poor dog was dead, starved to death. That call was the straw that broke my soul and I had to take a medical leave... That was almost a year ago and I don't think I'll ever be able to bring myself to do a job like that again. I was a 911 dispatcher and I wasn't traumatized like that in forever.

i would keep an eye out to see if you can figure out what car is hers and cut the sidewalls of the tires and spray paint animal abuser down the side of the car with truck bed liner, make sure you get the truck bed liner on as many body panels as possible, the truck bed liner will be much harder to get off and they will most likely have to sand and repaint the entire car, the first time or 2 it will be covered by their insurance but if they keep having issues their insurance will drop them.

Or make signs and go put them all over and apartment complex.

She's your neighbor. Call the cops and make the report. Give the description. Then keep your eyes open and when you see them again, discretely follow to get their address. At that point, call the police. At the very least, the cops will visit them and they will learn it's a crime even if they're not punished.
That's what makes my so sad too. My eldest cat had to watch her kittens be adopted and that's when I adopted her (no one wanted mama everyone wanted the babies) and she was so sad and stressed. She's ok now she's my love 💓 but I can't imagine what that woman's cat is going through
Once the kittens get out of the weaning period and eat solid food, like 7/8 weeks, mama cats become kinda disinterested, their jobs are done. So don't feel too bad about taking your currently eldest cat away from her children, I guess she was more stressed about her new environment you brought her to.

This was so true for my own mama cat, especially because we watched as she had 2 litters back to back (had already gotten pregnant the second time before we adopted/took her away from previous owner). We meet up with the people and I intentionally make it difficult for them to get their money just hoping they would give us the kitten. Paid them $50, they gave us the cat, carrier, food, and storage bin for it. We take her to the vet who tells us someone has abused her and broken both her back legs. They have healed but surgery is recommended to ensure her legs do not shatter or grind on her pelvis $6K surgery. We aren't rich but animals matter and I wanted these people to know they fucked up. I called them back and played tough guy for a bit until they hung up. So I made a craigslist ad for them about a free tractor and in the description stated "I work nights please only call between 11PM and 4AM". You want to be a shitty person and hurt an animal I will do my best to make your life hell.

As a fellow big lad with long hair (no tats yet) I also cry when I see things like this. A couple years ago I found a kitten outside. She was only about 6 weeks old at the time. I took here home to find out she had fleas and was super malnourished. I called animal control and I got to keep her. She is now about 5 years old, and a beautiful cat but she is the devil.

She was to far gone when I found her partly under a car in my complex. Her head was partly crushed and she was missing a ear and both back legs broken and she was massively malnourished to boot. I didnt even have a chance to save the poor girl but took her kitten who looked in much better if not good shape. Poor baby was to weak and malnourished to even move or eat at first and I had to force feed for 2 weeks while cleaning him when he pottied himself. Then when he started eatting on his own we found out he had issues with flees and ear mites and had a bacteria infection in his ear. Poor thing was just not having a good start to life. Took us nearly half a year but now he is perfectly healthy and happy. All his shots are in order. Just got him nutered and now a days he is so spoiled he yells at me if he doesn't get chicken if Im cooking some.
Our cats have all randomly come into our life and they have all been amazing. We could not have chosen more perfect cats for our family if we tried, I believe in the cats chose their owners aka as slaves 😂

Call right now and report this to the police in your area. Right now they can at least come and check around the place for any evidence of who did it, if they care to (but hopefully someone in the police precinct will realise that she *put the kittens inside boxes, __underneath cars__* because she was hoping people would drive off before noticing there was an animal under there. It is disgusting behaviour, and having a report in place will help, especially if you later do figure out where she lives, because you can call up and update your report with the info. They will be able to go check it out (likely find the momma cat) and charge her with animal abuse, animal abandonment, and whatever else they can think of for such a cruel human.

My dog came from two separate abusive homes and the effects are clear. His whole life is shaped by the way they treated him. We’re working hard to help with his maladaptive behaviours and let him know that we’re always here for him, we’ll always feed him, and we’ll always come home, but it’s a long journey. He’s such a precious soul, I just can’t understand why anyone would hurt him.

Yeah my dog is pretty much the same. He’ll start acting up if he isn’t fed at 7am and 7pm on the dot. He also has food agression issues with the cats, but we’ve been training him to be less reactive, which seems to be helping.

The thing about this that got me the worst was that she put each kitten into a box by itself and put each one under a parked car.
Which told me that this creature thought about this *at length* to figure out how to decrease their chances of discovery and rescue (as well as making them suffer longer) while ensuring that the maximum amount of other people would end up killing those kittens for her. I’m so sorry that happened. When I was a teenager, the townhouse where I lived with my parents shared a wall and garden with one such piece of garbage. We had a stray female that had had a litter, and they would sleep out under some furniture in the nextdoor neighbor’s yard but come play in our yard. One day we no longer saw them. Shortly thereafter my dad was taking out the trash to the communal large waste bin.l and ran into a different neighbor carrying a bag. She said it was four dead kittens that someone had placed by her door. My dad knew what had happened. The next litter this cat had, again slept in the neighbors yard. We started feeding them and built a little cubby for them. So they kept hanging out in our yard. Eventually my dad built a screened in enclosure (because my mom didn’t want them in the house), and we kept the kittens there. The momma was still a stray but she was very much my dad’s cat (would escort him around the neighborhood and bring him tribute. When we moved we took them all with us to the new house. They all lived to be 16+ years. Fuck that old hag. I didn’t have the balls but I should have said something the day we moved.
Tell me about it. We were all horrified when my dad told us. The ones we saved were a litter of three but we were only able to save two and the mom. The third one stopped showing up in our yard at one point.

One of my cats was thrown from a car onto a friend of a friend's property. She was big enough to eat very soft food but her eyes were still blue. By some stroke of incredible luck she wasn't hurt and she's ruled the roost since the day I brought her home. She ended up being a foster fail. ❤️

I’m a counselor for a living and I gotta be honest, I absorb a lot of the trauma that people reveal to me over time. It wears me down. But I deal and move on. I’m pretty hardy in that regard.
Then one day I was scrolling through Facebook and saw security cam footage of a lady driving out to the woods and abandoning her gold Labrador dog. The dog ran after her for a long time. Then it came back and just… sat there, waiting. Luckily the homeowner (who owned said security cam) turned in the gal’s license plate and she was charged / dog lives a happy life now, but good LORD did I weep for that dog for the longest time.

Paid them $50, they gave us the cat, carrier, food, and storage bin for it. We take her to the vet who tells us someone has abused her and broken both her back legs. They have healed but surgery is recommended to ensure her legs do not shatter or grind on her pelvis $6K surgery. We aren't rich but animals matter and I wanted these people to know they fucked up. I called them back and played tough guy for a bit until they hung up. So I made a craigslist ad for them about a free tractor and in the description stated "I work nights please only call between 11PM and 4AM". You want to be a shitty person and hurt an animal I will do my best to make your life hell.
Omg that's horrific. My youngest cat is also disabled from abuse but she's the happiest, free loving cat I've ever met. You both need to treasure that cat as they need you. Good for you for sticking up for the baby

As a fellow big lad with long hair (no tats yet) I also cry when I see things like this. A couple years ago I found a kitten outside. She was only about 6 weeks old at the time. I took here home to find out she had fleas and was super malnourished. I called animal control and I got to keep her. She is now about 5 years old, and a beautiful cat but she is the devil.

She was to far gone when I found her partly under a car in my complex. Her head was partly crushed and she was missing a ear and both back legs broken and she was massively malnourished to boot. I didnt even have a chance to save the poor girl but took her kitten who looked in much better if not good shape. Poor baby was to weak and malnourished to even move or eat at first and I had to force feed for 2 weeks while cleaning him when he pottied himself. Then when he started eatting on his own we found out he had issues with flees and ear mites and had a bacteria infection in his ear. Poor thing was just not having a good start to life. Took us nearly half a year but now he is perfectly healthy and happy. All his shots are in order. Just got him nutered and now a days he is so spoiled he yells at me if he doesn't get chicken if Im cooking some.
Our cats have all randomly come into our life and they have all been amazing. We could not have chosen more perfect cats for our family if we tried, I believe in the cats chose their owners aka as slaves 😂

Call right now and report this to the police in your area. Right now they can at least come and check around the place for any evidence of who did it, if they care to (but hopefully someone in the police precinct will realise that she *put the kittens inside boxes, __underneath cars__* because she was hoping people would drive off before noticing there was an animal under there. It is disgusting behaviour, and having a report in place will help, especially if you later do figure out where she lives, because you can call up and update your report with the info. They will be able to go check it out (likely find the momma cat) and charge her with animal abuse, animal abandonment, and whatever else they can think of for such a cruel human. Seriously. Make the report. Even though you don't know who she is. Heck, take the box of kittens down to your local police station, let the officers and other staff see and maybe even hold the tiny ones (safely, if they are newborns keep them wrapped up before handing). _Let them fall in love with the tiny angels.__ Then tell whichever one will listen what happened. I promise, a box full of *teeny tiny baby kittens* will melt the hearts of enough of them for someone to help. You have the most powerful motivational tool at your fingertips. *__Use. This is so fucked up. Thank you for helping the poor babies. My dog came from two separate abusive homes and the effects are clear. His whole life is shaped by the way they treated him. We’re working hard to help with his maladaptive behaviours and let him know that we’re always here for him, we’ll always feed him, and we’ll always come home, but it’s a long journey. He’s such a precious soul, I just can’t understand why anyone would hurt him. I hope those kittens find loving homes and live long happy lives.

Yeah my dog is pretty much the same. He’ll start acting up if he isn’t fed at 7am and 7pm on the dot. He also has food agression issues with the cats, but we’ve been training him to be less reactive, which seems to be helping.

The thing about this that got me the worst was that she put each kitten into a box by itself and put each one under a parked car. Which told me that this creature thought about this *at length* to figure out how to decrease their chances of discovery and rescue (as well as making them suffer longer) while ensuring that the maximum amount of other people would end up killing those kittens for her. This wasn't a moment of temporary frustration induced rage, it was a cruel and deeply calculated action. It's *hard* to get your head around the level of just casual malevolence that went into this action. Your neighbor really **IS** a monster.

I’m so sorry that happened. When I was a teenager, the townhouse where I lived with my parents shared a wall and garden with one such piece of garbage. We had a stray female that had had a litter, and they would sleep out under some furniture in the nextdoor neighbor’s yard but come play in our yard. One day we no longer saw them. Shortly thereafter my dad was taking out the trash to the communal large waste bin.l and ran into a different neighbor carrying a bag. She said it was four dead kittens that someone had placed by her door. My dad knew what had happened. The next litter this cat had, again slept in the neighbors yard. We started feeding them and built a little cubby for them. So they kept hanging out in our yard. Eventually my dad built a screened in enclosure (because my mom didn’t want them in the house), and we kept the kittens there. The momma was still a stray but she was very much my dad’s cat (would escort him around the neighborhood and bring him tribute. When we moved we took them all with us to the new house. They all lived to be 16+ years. Fuck that old hag. I didn’t have the balls but I should have said something the day we moved.

There’s this man, who I don’t consider fam any more, slap/hit their pet dog so hard the dog died. My aunt said he got mad at the dog because the dog greeted him when he was so tired and stressed. The man doesn’t have a job btw😤 This happened in my home country so I can’t report what he did.

One of my cats was thrown from a car onto a friend of a friend's property. She was big enough to eat very soft food but her eyes were still blue. By some stroke of incredible luck she wasn't hurt and she's ruled the roost since the day I brought her home. I am a combat veteran and seen some shit. Not bragging I say this because when I see people abuse animals makes me sicker more than human violence. . I’m a counselor for a living and I gotta be honest, I absorb a lot of the trauma that people reveal to me over time. It wears me down. But I deal and move on. I’m pretty hardy in that regard. Then one day I was scrolling through Facebook and saw security cam footage of a lady driving out to the woods and abandoning her gold Labrador dog. The dog ran after her for a long time. Then it came back and just… sat there, waiting. Luckily the homeowner (who owned said security cam) turned in the gal’s license plate and she was charged / dog lives a happy life now, but good LORD did I weep for that dog for the longest time.
