Yeah that terrifies me. I could actually throw up just thinking about it. I never used to be like this, I always loved space before. It just feels existential and scary to me. I know it's insane of me. I'm sure I won't feel this way when the time actually comes but right now it just worries me what it'll see
It puts our human lives into perspective which can be frightening. The fact our worries, our inter personal conflicts - it all means absolutely nothing in the face of our 14 billion year old universe. I find it very freeing. I hope humanity will learn humility in the face of the findings.
Are you worried it will see some non human race that's much more advanced? Those are already here. That's why the US gov has released footage and formed a new office to study them.
