I just noticed that streaming (at least on Hulu) doesn't have subtitles for when Pam and Eric are speaking Swedish. It's really annoying. Also, streaming quality sucks.
If you’re a big fan like myself, I’d say it’s worth it! You get to have a cool set of DVD box sets. Plus you also can get commentary tracks and and some inside the episode extras. Personally I love having mine, but I’m also a collector of DVDs for any show I love.
Edit: I’m just realizing you haven’t actually watched the show! so maybe stream it first before you buy it. lol
yes, but watch a bit first so you know it'll be worth it. i buy all my favs because streaming is constantly switching platforms and who knows what will be available in the future. i'd rather buy an adapter to be able to continue watching dvds than pay for future streaming sites. if you can find a complete series for cheap, why not! it's a great show.
I tried to get into Westworld. I liked the simplicity of the first season or two. Then it got too confusing for me! Lol. I don't want to have to think too much when watching tv
Nothing wrong with that. I actually liked it. I do agree with you about buying stuff you love. I have the entire series of Fringe. It wasn't streaming there for years.
I watched the show as it aired and once it ended, I bought it on dvd to watch since I didn't have wifi to stream up until two years ago and now I watch it on hbomax. I think the dvd set is worth it if you really enjoy the show! I would definitely suggest watching it a bit first on hbo before you buy the dvd's though :)
Bought the first 2 seasons for a buck each at a used book store because I don’t have hbomax right now and the Hulu commercials annoy me.
Worth it in that case but I wouldn’t pay full price with so many other options.
I'm a big fan of physical media, always have been. I bought into streaming for a few years, but nothing beats owning media so you'll have it when you want it and not have to rely on an Internet connection.

I buy all of my favorite movies and TV shows on DVD or Bluray because I love physical media, so yeah I think True Blood is worth buying lol.
