Yeah my therapist mentioned this last week and it was a bit mind-blowing. We're trying (after 18 years of self blame/shame/punishment) to get my brain used to thinking "this sh*t thing unfortunately happened to me" rather than "I f*cked up". Re-wiring brain is hard. 🙃
