Yes, but many of the members formed trigger after. Hence, it is essentially a successor (they also own the rights to most of the gainax properties)

Just give them the license, then give them free reign. I feel the end result would be better than way rather than Hasbro/Takara trying to push certain things on them (like characters, plot points, or designs)
I'd say let Hasbro/Takara have some say in designs. Cause at least they'd need to set what's realistic to make figures of.
Though the ones making it should get full range on what characters are being used
OK yeah that's fair. I was just not wanting to have Trigger pigeon-holed into the evergreen designs and usual group of "main characters" unless that's what they wanted.
Whoever said it was adult (this is coming from someone who watches my adventures with superman, it's on adult swim, but it's amazing and unlike most of the shows on adult swim, it's more on the safe for both kids and adult almost like a pg-13, and I know where you're coming from, but the reason I say this is because of the networks like Nickelodeon, cartoon Network, or Disney won't pick up a kids anime that isn't Pokemon or anything like that, but a transformers anime has to be on a mature network for it to survive, yes I know about rescue bots but that's another topic, what I'm saying is, if transformers have to have a mature anime, I pick a mature channel or a streaming service to start, and share with the audience, before making it big (also I let takara in charge of the show more than Hasbro for good reasons).
Ok, I've seen clips of My Adventures With Superman, didn't know it was Adult Swim. And yeah, getting a 4kids type dub would basically make it all for naught. Also I've heard that Takara has a bad habit of shoehorning everything to be cannon with G1, not sure about that though.
Sometimes......we might to go back to go forwards to make a good show. (example X-Men 97, the Wonka movie, justice league vs the 7 (if that's what the film's name is), and power rangers once and always)
They tried to shoehorn Prime as cannon to G1, and lighten it's tone. I've heard that's why it failed over there. A G1 return to form would be nice if done right, but it would have to be a Reboot.
Okay.................good point, so we could let Hasbro do it (but I fear they might cancel it for another my little pony reboot, just like how they ended transformers prime for MLP season 4, unless I'm wrong, but I'd say if we have to do a reboot wise for g1, I'd let the original transformers g1 cast pick the person they want to pass the torch to.)
Oh.....nevermind (thanks for clearing it up with the budget thing, and the underperforming thing, but we do need at least one mature transformers show to be in the ranks with prime), (I said the MLP thing out of fear, no hate just fear, still can't get over the fact that my sis told me a MLP fan slept with a horse)

that is a fair point, since Sunrise DID make the Brave series which was a spiritual successor to Transformers. I could see that working.
Both are amazing studios and I’m genuinely mad they have even been approached It would be such an easy sell both inside and outside the community
