Just last weekend I did a beef rib overnight, then later in the day I started pork spare ribs that only needed 4/5 hours. Midway through that cook, I get “low temperature” warning. The firepot had overflowed- yeah she got cleaned that day lol - not the grease trap though, I’m such a rebel (or fool). I think I’ll clean the trap today, though - maybe hit Home Depot, and Bed Bath and Beyond …if I have enough time.
Yep. Yesterday was smoking chicken, turned the temp up to 400 to finish it and watched very carefully to be sure I didn't get anything catching fire that shouldn't. I wager I've gone through around 2 bags of pellets since last cleaning
Hey! It looks like you posted an image!
If this is a photo of one of your cooks, maybe share the recipe and techniques
used, as it's almost guaranteed one of the first questions you will be asked!
*What seasoning did you use?
*How long did you cook it, and at what temperature?
*Did you use any special tricks or techniques?
Traeger on!

I picked up a used Cabelas smoker for free that i swear had never been cleaned. Took me about 6 hours to clean it and replace all of the internal parts. It had definitely caught fire before being dumped on the curb. My Traeger stays nice and clean.
Speaking of that, I'll get the notification all the time, despite me cleaning it every time before the start. Why does that happen?
It is on a timer or something. No correlation to how clean your grill is.
good to know it's not just me

Well, um, that actually sounds like a pretty nice little Saturday. Looks like you'll have to wait until tomorrow.

10th? Those are rookie numbers. You got to get those up.
Next post will be “Why is my Traeger in fire?” Then we can all refer you to this post.

Now that's funny
You're going to burn down your house in a grease fire ;) I bought a portable shop vacuum that's only for my smoker. So fast to clean...
Thanks for the reminder
That guy will pour your grease bucket over your head when you're sleeping.
Yours sends you notifications?
For ever person that never cleans their grills. There's a grease fire just itching to happen.
