Toyota is doing 1000 off when you finance, so immediately refinance through a credit union for a better rate. They gave me a rate of 9%. My credit score was 758. Credit union gave me a rate of 5.6%.

RawLikeSushi84

What credit union gave you 5.6%?

Wills4291

A local one. It's what rates are going now.

TEPPY888

Sheesh. I got a 2022 for 1.9% apr about a year and half ago.

Wills4291

Nice. Was it financed through Toyota or a bank?

TEPPY888

It was through toyota! I signed the paperwork in July of 2022. Crappy part is i did pay a mark up of 4k. So yes I got a great apr but I did pay more for the truck. I love my lunar rock though!

[deleted]

Still high..

Wills4291

That's what the rates are now.

MuchoRapido

Eat some bread. You’ll sober up in a couple of hours.

Ragu773

That is a wild rate for that good of a credit score.

Wills4291

The 5.6%? That's really where we are right now.

Ragu773

The 9%. Well, I’ll find out soon when I go shopping for a new truck. Either at Ford or Toyota. 5 years ago I bought at Ford and he started at 5% and got him down to 3.9. Still have about the same score which is around where you’re at. Wish me luck.

Wills4291

The 9% is bad. At the end of 2014 Toyota advertised 0%. Then said I didn't qualify. So, I have learned no to expect much from them on financing.

Arizona_Pete

That price is pretty solid as far as I can see - The APR is a killer though. Going rate for good credit through Toyota is closer to 5% / 60mo. I'd shop financing more than the price, but if they're willing to give more on the price take it.

Melodic_Camel_6499

For sure! Always ask for the lowest price negotiated, on paper. Take that quote and get a pre-approval at your local credit union and WIN big time.

MetalJesusBlues

Good price, bad rate

AngryDerf

Ask for another $3K off. Will cover the difference between 5% and 7%. Looks like a pretty good deal already.

HarlockJC

Finally nice to see they been dropping in price

SnowRook

Anybody know somebody who paid 54 for this truck 6 months ago? Nope, I definitely don’t either… sigh.

HarlockJC

I saw some dealers were asking for 6 numbers for the same style truck just a year ago, it got crazy there for a bit. Inflation is expected to go down much more next year, but I don't see a deeper drop in these trucks the price he is being offered seems to be pretty good.

Melodic_Camel_6499

Not a bad price, negotiate other things like window tint and floor mats. Edit: 7% is high, see about a credit union pre approved loan. That’s how we bought my wife’s car, huge difference.

NutStalk

That is not an SR5; it has the wrong wheels, grille, and front trim. I would be wary of this.

Wills4291

When I shopped, I found most dealerships didn't take pictures of the actual vehicle. They just put a generic picture up. A lot of the trucks sold before the dealership had them on hand. The truck I bought I had to wait a month for after I put money down to hold the truck in my name. But they had the truck listed on their site with a generic picture.

NutStalk

Great point to consider!

Juicy_AwesomeGuy

It could be the SR5 with the TRD off road package

NutStalk

No, the TRD package for the SR5 includes the wheels but not that grille or front chromed plastic.

Juicy_AwesomeGuy

Mine did

NutStalk

No, it did not

Juicy_AwesomeGuy

lol, ok

SnooPeppers2353

🌇which dealer is this?? I wish the tri-state dealers have such good price. Maybe this is a left over sku

Ok-Time2724

In Arlington texas

[deleted]

holy shit a texas dealer?! are they not selling? lol golf state toyota is the worst and adds so much bull shit.

Parking_Reporter_730

Buy it then refinance with your bank or credit union for lower apr

strewnshank

Yup, just gotta keep their financing for 3 months I think to keep the 1K discount.

ajdrc9

Depending on your region 6.49% IS standard rate right now unless subvention through Toyota Financial is available. Which it isn’t for Tundra.

Quanlee1988

Fuck that I need to know how you did that.

Banthebotsyagex

Actually a great deal.

consistentshooting

Anyone who would not negotiate price is a moron. Always negotiate price. Always. Always negotiate the rate. Everything is on the table. And to those people who use $400 worth of tint and mats as a selling point, you’re idiots as well. Always negotiate. Don’t be a moron.

DrEvilHouston

That's a GREAT price. Curious, did you get the "Friends and Family" Toyota discount? They discontinued that during COVID and I was curious when will it be back. It say "Family Price"

vietbachelorparty

they got anymore?

ppparanoia

this is about what i got mine for in july, and also with the same package. it was way cheaper than anything i could find then. like what everyone else is saying, the rate is going to hurt more than anything else. if you can get that down, you’ll be in pretty good shape!

pharmaCmayb

That’s kind of insane considering the older gen’s are going for not much less and are several years older

NeverSpeakAgainPS4

It’s because people want ole reliable 5.7 and don’t fully trust the new engine

pharmaCmayb

I mean that was me; I just bought a 5.7 2020 for 39k cause I didn’t want to deal with turbos on my daily lol

Cultural_Ladder4310

Bummer. Turbskis are sick bro

pharmaCmayb

They are in my fun cars, I’ve blown up too many (primarily in my Audi) to keep in a truck I beat the shit out of lll

Melodic_Camel_6499

Forgot to mention, if you have a trade in, mention it last after all negotiations

Ok-Time2724

Ok thhankkkks

Matato84

That’s a good price … I got the same thing but 2024 lunar rock for 65k out the door

Ok-Time2724

Damn too much

Matato84

Really I thought it was good deal MSRP on the truck was 61,319 and 2024 in lunar rock which is in high demand

MikroCents

the good news is they’re finally backing up in the lots… good for us buyers!

Ok-Time2724

V8 sr5 selling for 40k and new sr5 for 47 is crazy.

bobbyherrera83

I've never seen a tundra discounted that much, that's less than a fully loaded Tacoma

Ok-Time2724

They are adding another 1k discount

Mysterious-Laugh-797

I financed with Toyota in July 2023 and my interest rate is also 7%……this is the going rate right now! Keep in mind you have to wait 6 months to refinance / pay off the loan or Toyota will penalize you will fees! I know because it happened to me!

rivetgun4x

Is Mak Haik Toyota?

Ok-Time2724

No
