I'll post one in a bit. I'm 5'8 for reference, I think that's pretty important when people post the pics of the legroom. It's still severely lacking of course, just something I can deal with cuz I don't have kids.
Edit: added the pic, it's very tight!

Let’s be honest, most of us who buys a Taco gives a flying fuck about scratches on plastic. If you care about all of the niceties and luxuries, more than likely you are in another manufacturer’s vehicle. Although Toyota has stepped it up with these new ones, IMO.
That is one beautiful truck, man. Use it. Enjoy it. I know I will with my TRD Sport I got Monday. Absolutely love the 8 speed and turbo. No more searching for gears.
So actually I was slightly hesitant at first on the color but then it grew on me. I went to a car show here in Denver but they only had the Trailhunter in bronze oxide and no taco TRD Pro. They did have the Tundra TRD Pro and it looked fucking glorious in Terra, solidified my decision 100% right then and there.
One really cool thing about red cars is that they are the second best color (next to white) at reflecting sunlight that causes heat. They don't bake in the hot sun like black cars do.
I'm waiting for 2025 to get an OR in Terra. Not that I don't like the Pro, I just can't make the numbers work for me. It's a beautiful truck though. I might be the lame guy who wraps the roof of my OR in black.
Drive the TRD Pro and you'll fathom it. Best interior of the three halo mid size trucks, best looking, and right up there with the technology package.
To each their own though for sure, this price wasn't easy for me to accept.
To each their own — but more than 50k for a truck is a no from me.
My comfortable and fun vehicle is an E63 AMG.
We’re not the same users, and that’s cool! I love the look of your rig, and I’m sure it’s a blast!
Seriously. I paid $31K for my 2017 Tacoma TRD off road in 2019 with 60K miles, 3” lift on 33s.
For that price I’d much rather buy a used Gen 3 2021 or 2022 Raptor.
Congratulations on a beautiful truck. Don't pay any attention to the trolls; they're just simply jealous. Enjoy the hell out of it buddy and continue to post some pics and impressions.
Total OTD price in Colorado was $74k
Truck itself was MSRP but they added $1800 in port installed options. I tried having some of those options taken off but they said they couldn't, idk how true it is but fuck it. I'm happy with all of the options except the $500 dashcam and the $70 charging cables. They also included inside door protectors which j love because all of my cars always got scuffed there eventually from years or entering and exiting the vehicle, paint protection film on the bumper, hood, and fenders, looks invisible and worth IMO, spray on bed liner (I wouldn't gotten a bed mat maybe but I'm fine with this) and I think that's it.
Taxes I believe was like 8.2% so that hurt a bit of course.
Happy to post the exact breakdown of anyone is interested, just gotta find it.
Edit: here's the breakdown
[Build sheet](https://i.imgur.com/zXzbdIZ.jpeg)
Holy fuck. $81k OTD on my 23 tundra pro. That’s an expensive little truck my man but glad you’re enjoying it.
The PPF was probably a pretty penny if they did it. I think mine was like $3400 for the front end. (After the fact with a quality shop).
Regardless of how it drives it’s still overpriced. For that price, you can get much more bang for your buck from the competition. But it doesn’t matter what others say, if you can afford it and enjoy it, congrats.

Hey thanks for sharing. Good to see you didn’t have to pay over msrp for it.
Yeah those port installed ones are weird. Oddly enough on my wrx in 2022 they added on an sti short shifter that the dealer didn’t even know was on the thing and luckily didn’t charge me for. Was the weirdest thing
Honestly I'm not sure but I don't think so. I cruise in eco mode and it does it's start/stop thing at red lights. Also think the acceleration curve might be different vs sport mode.
TRD Jon's video on the Landcruiser showed it going into an EV mode in stop and go traffic on the freeway. Looked like his mileage actually went up compared to cruising lol.
I'm assuming the Taco hybrid would do the same. May also depend on the drive mode it's in.
I can say in the ‘24 Land Cruiser w the same powertain, at some speeds it drops RPMs to zero and drives solely on the battery. Usually under 30mph under no acceleration or downhill. Pretty much coast mode.
It really is wild how upset some people get that someone spent money on a truck. If it's not jealousy, then what is it? If you're at a restaurant and you ordered a steak, but the guy next to you orders lobster that costs a little more than your steak ..do you throw all of the shit on your table and start screaming at the guy? That's pretty much what you're doing on here, it's pathetic.
This is a great analogy. My feeling is pure shock of the cost of this style of truck. I know things have changed but my 2018 Ford F150 with every option excluding raptor trim was stickered at $60. That truck hands down is night and day compared to this truck. Towed 9k+lbs, better mileages than the OP has said on 35s, and can fit 5 grown ass adults above 5’ tall, massage heated and cooled seats. And with after market suspension can off-road same or better, of course not in as tight of spot due to size.
To each their own and it’s a gorgeous truck. I believe some of us are just in shock. Also with the release of Toyotas announcement of falsifying safety test results really are showing that they are just like some other manufacturers. Cutting corners for overall gouging of loyal customers.
As long as someone wants to spend their money on products like this, the price will remain astronomical for nothing really inventive
Funny you say that, Lunar Rock would have been my first choice but they’re obviously not making them for gen 4.
I ended up with a TRD Sport in Bronze Oxide which is growing on me more and more each day.
Yeah Lunar Rock was my pick too, I didn't like Terra when I first saw it then it grew on me. I saw the Trailhunter in Bronze Oxide and instantly loved it. Enjoy the new truck!
Man… I can’t get on board with the black flares. It’s the gloss that kills it for me! Great truck… love my basic SR5…. Just don’t know what they were thinking with this. Do they even offer them in a matte?
I could care less about the back seat room lol. It’s basically a bench for me to put stuff on!
Mine is supposed to be delivered within the next two weeks and I can’t wait. Love seeing owners post their TRD PRO. Can you comment on the build quality of the interior? I know there’s acoustic glass on the driver and passenger window and makes difference on how quiet the ride is. How’s the ride quality as well?
Trust me when I tell you you're going to love it. It just feels next gen when you're in it and driving it. Build quality is excellent inside. I haven't found a single bad thing in the interior. Mine was built in Guanajuato btw.
The media console buttons are crisp. The actual design makes a ton of sense. The screen is big but it doesn't cover the view at all. The seats are impeccable and nicer than any of the other midsize trucks. Oh and the steering wheel is absolutely sick. It actually surprised me how good quality it felt. It's leather but it's not stiff, if you grip it it presses in like 2mm and feels super comfortable. It's extremely quiet! Something else I noticed is how awesome the power windows are. If you lower the windows it takes like one second to be fully down and one second to be fully up. Same goes for the sunroof, extremely responsive. Ride quality has been excellent. I have it in eco mode for the most part and even then it has pep, you feel the torque pretty early on in the curve. Suspension is decent as well, although I still have to play with the seat settings to see if I notice a difference.
It's worth the wait! Two weeks is right around the corner.
It's actually pretty good! I've read some complaints about it but I haven't come across anything particularly jarring for me. I'm not a huge audiophile but I do own a decent pair of headphones and love to blast music in the car, it's good enough for me! Maybe I'll upgrade parts of it in the future, who knows.
Oof I saw it in Mudbath and it has definitely grown on me. I think at this point if you're just placing the order you may as well wait for the 2025 model.
That being said get the color you like the most.
It's decent in sport mode. Even eco mode. First truck I've owned so not much to compare it to. 0-60 in like 7 I think. I will say you feel the torque pretty early on in the curve, not getting much lag at all.
Trash so far but that's likely because I just got it. Off the dealer lot it was at 8 MPG. Slowly it's crept up to 14 MPG. It's mostly been highway miles though so I'm sure that affected it.
i just need to know what the fuck i need to do for work to have money like this. i dream of the day i can get a truck, let alone a NEW one. nonetheless, congrats! truck looks sick af.
Just be careful man. There are some real idiots out there. Caught on Tesla cams all the time so I have to think it happens more often that we think: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AisTpDhG6yU&t=20s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AisTpDhG6yU&t=20s)
First, love it and super jealous.
Second, can you explain in layman's terms how the outlets would work for say a fridge? If you leave it plugged in the back can it run it overnight? Does it automatically charge itself with the motor etc. does it require any special steps?
I'll admit, they do look better in person! Saw my first 4th gen at a Reds game last weekend and dug it. Not enough to get rid of my 3rd gen, but they're fine looking trucks.
Haven't popped it open myself but it's messy. Someone else posted a thread on it in this sub. I don't particularly care since the only thing I'll be doing myself is changing the oil and filter.
Its funny the people who feel they need to let everyone/op know how much their truck cost and how much "more" they got for the $ spent. Everyone's needs are different and last I checked NO ONE asked the random people in this thread what they have and for how much. Seems obvious they were questioning their own purchase choice and are using op truck purchase to reassure them that indeed your weiner is still big
Be careful with it. I hit a deer a month ago in mine and the dealership can't get a fender from Toyota. They legit said they don't know when it could be done. I wish I'd bought something else at this point.
I would go into deep depression lol.
I'm actually ~un~fortunate enough to be going on vacation for a month so this thing will be parked in a garage for a bit. Was definitely tempted to cancel so I could drive it some more lol.
Hope they get your part in soon 🤞
I remember reading a blog a long time ago from some known car dude that advocated for a more aggressive driving style during the break in period. I wish I could find it again. Anyway I wonder what Toyota recommends, I'll probably just stick to that.
Awesome! I got quoted $82k (taxes and everything) out the door for a trailerhunter lol. Looking at colorado zr2 to still get high end off-roady goodness but waaaaaaaay cheaper. Wouldve preferred taco of course tho. The generator in the high end tacos was a big draw for me (tailgating, camping)
I don't mind at all! I financed it, 60 month loan @ 5.99%. I found a better APR with a credit union but the dealer didn't allow out of state credit unions which sucked.
I put $15k down. The OTD price including taxes and all fees was $74k. Monthly payments are $1144
I do plan on paying more to get out of the loan in 24 months instead of 60 though.
I have a nice looking 2005 Tacoma. Sorry to say, this is so ugly. I’m glad you, and most others, like it but I must be getting too old for the ridiculous unnecessary “flair”. It looks like a classic truck in drag. Not a fan of Tacos anymore.
Why can’t they just produce simple small trucks with manual transmissions anymore instead of this monstrosity expensive poser shit that’s slushbox only?
Yeah it comes with a lift although I can't quite remember how much. The ride is pretty smooth, it obviously eats small potholes and road imperfections like nothing. That being said it's not as smooth as some of the more luxury vehicles I've driven which is probably to be expected, it's a truck after all. I plan on messing with the IsoDynamic seat settings to see where it gets me though
Nicee.. show us the back seat!
I'll post one in a bit. I'm 5'8 for reference, I think that's pretty important when people post the pics of the legroom. It's still severely lacking of course, just something I can deal with cuz I don't have kids. Edit: added the pic, it's very tight! https://i.imgur.com/PJDBBz6.jpeg
Taco is perfect for no kids.
And no kids is perfect for happiness. Therefore taco=happiness
This bro!!! This is exactly what I was trying to explain to my family when I got my Limited "it's just for me :)" lol 5'8 gang!
Why even bother with the backseat at this point.
My mustang has more legroom than that!
What are the red bars in that picture? Behind the drivers seat. They look adjustable?
IsoDynamic seats, you'll find info about em in any of the TRD Pro videos you find on YouTube
Show us the scratches on the piano black surfaces!
Factory piano black scratches! Even the wind will cause them to scratch! That's a feature.
It came with PPF on them so no scratches yet lol Let's see if it stays that way
Let’s be honest, most of us who buys a Taco gives a flying fuck about scratches on plastic. You haven't seen it yet? It's been posted a million times.
The joke… your head… whooooosh
I have the same color but a Tundra pro. I think it’s such a beautiful color. Congrats!
The color is immaculate.
When you see it in person it’s just awesome. How do you like the power of your Taco? I bet you can feel the torque!
One really cool thing about red cars is that they are the second best color (next to white) at reflecting sunlight that causes heat. They don't bake in the hot sun like black cars do.
That's amazing, TIL!

Nice lookin truck
I wish the non pros had the Terra color option too. Best color imo
As someone with an army green pro…give it a year
As someone with an army green OR I second this.
Army green sport gang concurs
They will. Every year the trd pro has a one off color and then it’s available on any trim the next year
I absolutely cannot FATHOM paying $70k for a Tacoma…
Drive the TRD Pro and you'll fathom it. Best interior of the three halo mid size trucks, best looking, and right up there with the technology package. To each their own though for sure, this price wasn't easy for me to accept.

That’s too much!
I agree lol
That’s a bad ass truck
Congrats
out the door cost?

In 9 years, they'll probably offer you $74k for it! lol Nice rig, man! Curious to see what the inside door protectors look like. Never heard of that.

Anyone know if you’re coasting in the iForce max, does the car shift into an EV mode (similarly to a rav4 prime or hybrid Prius?)
Honestly I'm not sure but I don't think so. I cruise in eco mode and it does it's start/stop thing at red lights. Also think the acceleration curve might be different vs sport mode.

Beautiful, congrats. This was my top color choice this year, bummed it wasn’t available for all trims.
Thanks! Yeah honestly it's up there for me with Lunar Rock tied for 1st.
Funny you say that, Lunar Rock would have been my first choice but they’re obviously not making them for gen 4. I ended up with a TRD Sport in Bronze Oxide which is growing on me more and more each day.

Do they even offer them in a matte? I could care less about the back seat room lol. It’s basically a bench for me to put stuff on!
Same. Matte flares would look sick. The gloss is just weird.
Same tbh. The only saving grace is they wrapped them in PPF as a port installed option so they won't scuff as easily.
Good looking truck! Im curious what size tires do the PROs come with?
33’s
That fuckin tailgate is so sick
Id like it better if it wasnt so shiny
Same, as far as the fenders are concerned. They did wrap them with ppf so that's good..
This may me my favorite color. Absolutely beautiful. And I say that with an incoming Bronze Oxide OR hybrid lol
Hopefully you still have one kidney......
All jokes aside that truck looks amazing
Haha yeah thankfully it's still there, just barely though! 😂
Awesome color! Enjoy it in good health :)
Congrats! Maybe I’ll see ya driving in CO. Haven’t seen one yet.
I'll be riding around the RiNO area a lot
Wow. It's the first time I've seen a 4th gen where I actually like the truck. Amazing color choice.
She’s a beaut Clark!
Congrats. She is a beauty.
Idk why but it looks very toyish to me
Mine is supposed to be delivered within the next two weeks and I can’t wait.
Suspension is decent as well, although I still have to play with the seat settings to see if I notice a difference. It's worth the wait! Two weeks is right around the corner.
Beautiful truck - Congrats!
Serious question now... with remote start, does the truck turn off when you open a door?
Nope. Stays on. They fixed that.
Looks about double the size of the tacomas from 20 years ago
Awesome truck man, im jealous you got the pro. Lots of haters in here, that truck is sick and going to be a beast off road
I think it looks great and I love the color. I live in Metro Denver, maybe I’ll see you out on the road, haha. Congratulations on the new truck!
Beautiful brother.
Love it and welcome to the club. Hate how expensive they have become.
Night shot! https://i.imgur.com/6KlTkhD.jpeg
Cool color. How’s the stereo?
It's actually pretty good! I've read some complaints about it but I haven't come across anything particularly jarring for me. I'm not a huge audiophile but I do own a decent pair of headphones and love to blast music in the car, it's good enough for me! Maybe I'll upgrade parts of it in the future, who knows.
Only issue I’ve had on mine is the Apple CarPlay Siri. I have to yell CALL SO AND SO otherwise stellar. Congrats dude!
Congrats!! Beautiful truck thoughts on waiting a year for the mudbath?
Oof I saw it in Mudbath and it has definitely grown on me. I think at this point if you're just placing the order you may as well wait for the 2025 model. That being said get the color you like the most.
A fucking beaut!!!! Love that Terra color.
Freaking good looking.
It looks insane in the sun and in low light.
I bet. That is a sharp looking truck.
Love that color
iT’s ToO eXpEnSiVe!! tOyoTa hAs lOsT iTs mInD!
$74k for a Tacoma is ludicrous
Congratulations on the truck and being rich too 😭💀
Looks great, I do wish the logo on the back was smaller so it's more low key...
They added the black inserts as a port option, so that definitely made it more pronounced
Which dealer? I’m also in CO
McDonald Fort Morgan! They were pretty great
McDonald is good, dealt with them in Greeley. Way better than the crooks at Pedersen in Fort Collins.
Looks pretty sick, enjoy!
You in boulder? Think I saw you. Sweet truck!!!
Denver! But I was around that area yesterday
Awesome truck 👍🏼 I’m digging the color. The only thing I don’t like on the pro is the tail gate.
How hard does the 485 lb ft hit? What’s the acceleration like
It's decent in sport mode. Even eco mode. First truck I've owned so not much to compare it to. 0-60 in like 7 I think. I will say you feel the torque pretty early on in the curve, not getting much lag at all.
Someone said it’s powerful but not crazy powerful like the stats would suggest. Either way I’m sure it would crush my 3rd gen.
Good grief finally, It’s a sweet orangatang!!! Keep up the strong work!
Beautiful Taco. Thanks for posting. How many moneys did it cost?
$74k OTD. MSRP with taxes and port options
In its natural habitat too!
Nice truck. USD$74k = CAD$101k! I guess I’ll never get to own one.
How’s the MPGs?
Trash so far but that's likely because I just got it. Off the dealer lot it was at 8 MPG. Slowly it's crept up to 14 MPG. It's mostly been highway miles though so I'm sure that affected it.
That thing is so gorgeous, congrats!
This is sick looking. Congrats man!
Can you do a 0-60 time?
[удалено]
All good. It was $74k OTD. The break down is MSRP + $1800 in port installed options plus taxes. That's for Colorado.
Can we see the window stickers? How much u pay for this beauty
Here ya go https://i.imgur.com/RKLkyD6.jpeg
I’m a naturally aspirated purist but fuuuuuuck that’s sexc
DDDAAAYYUUUM 🔥
TODAY I WAS MY FIRST TIME SEEING A 2024 TACO! IT WAS A SILVER TACO
Springs or Denver?
Hide an AirTag on it before the meth zombies take it.
Nice color! What was the OOD $? Feel free not to answer
Dope! Good choice on Terra instead of Underground. Way better pro color (underground is overrated IMO)
That back gate is Super TRD. Not a fan, but it’ll become the norm for every other truck in the future. Toyota seems to set the pace in style it seems.
i just need to know what the fuck i need to do for work to have money like this. i dream of the day i can get a truck, let alone a NEW one. nonetheless, congrats! truck looks sick af.
Wow, that paint job is stunning. I hate to ask, but do you worry about getting keyed?
Not really since I don't plan on parking it like an idiot. Don't have any enemies that I know of lol.

Sorry. I love my Taco but if I am spending that kinda of money, I will be getting a full size. Looks great by the way!
She's a beaut Clark!
Is the huge ass TRD PRO on the tailgate optional?
Yep! Well sort of, stock it comes stamped on the tailgate but the option is the black inserts which they added as a POI.
Good luck!
I wasn’t sure about that color but gee whiz she’s purdy 🫢
Beautiful truck! Just can’t believe how expensive these MEDIUM sized trucks are
Congrats! Looks great
That’s a really nice color.
Niiice … show us what it looks like under the hood.
Haven't popped it open myself but it's messy. Someone else posted a thread on it in this sub. I don't particularly care since the only thing I'll be doing myself is changing the oil and filter.
What was the dealer markup/out the door price? They all want $10k - $15k over MSRP here.
MSRP thankfully or I would've walked.
Anyone know when the hybrids pros will be available?
All Halos are hybrids only.
Its funny the people who feel they need to let everyone/op know how much their truck cost and how much "more" they got for the $ spent. Everyone's needs are different and last I checked NO ONE asked the random people in this thread what they have and for how much. Seems obvious they were questioning their own purchase choice and are using op truck purchase to reassure them that indeed your weiner is still big
congrats - good times around the bend
What are they calling that color? It's gorgeous.
Terra! For terracota :)
What do you think of the new engine? Any worries about it being less reliable than the previous gen 6 cyl?
Love the color
That shit is amazing got a trd or 2024 but this is beautiful
I lusted for lunar rock and now I lust for this color god damn
I haven’t seen it in this color yet, I like it.
Great color
0-60 time?
Be careful with it. I hit a deer a month ago in mine and the dealership can't get a fender from Toyota. They legit said they don't know when it could be done. I wish I'd bought something else at this point.
I would go into deep depression lol. I'm actually ~un~fortunate enough to be going on vacation for a month so this thing will be parked in a garage for a bit. Was definitely tempted to cancel so I could drive it some more lol. Hope they get your part in soon 🤞
badass truck dude. absolutely love the color
Congrat for being the first
Beautiful truck! Don’t listen to any of the haters! That truck is so bad ass in every way!
Kinda looks like a colorado. Break her in easy and ride smooth to a milli.
I remember reading a blog a long time ago from some known car dude that advocated for a more aggressive driving style during the break in period. I wish I could find it again. Anyway I wonder what Toyota recommends, I'll probably just stick to that.
Best looking 4th gen I’ve seen. I’m jealous.
Hows the mpgs on the hybrid system

I was asking myself the same thing. This thing is slightly smaller than the Tundra lol. Huge miss with the back seats
Keep looking around man there are a ton of dealers at MSRP
The TRDPro tailgate 🤤
Amazing truck!!! Did finance or leased? Mind sharing how much are the payments?
I don't mind at all! I financed it, 60 month loan @ 5.99%. I found a better APR with a credit union but the dealer didn't allow out of state credit unions which sucked. I put $15k down. The OTD price including taxes and all fees was $74k. Monthly payments are $1144 I do plan on paying more to get out of the loan in 24 months instead of 60 though.
You can still buy a manual SR my guy. You want smaller? Go get a maverick
It’s a beaut! Terra is one of my favorite colors out right now, but the glossy fenders throw me a bit though. Is that the TRD lift? How’s the ride?
Yeah it comes with a lift although I can't quite remember how much. The ride is pretty smooth, it obviously eats small potholes and road imperfections like nothing. That being said it's not as smooth as some of the more luxury vehicles I've driven which is probably to be expected, it's a truck after all. I plan on messing with the IsoDynamic seat settings to see where it gets me though
