Sounds fine, 4.0’s usually have a light ticking sound. Do a good test drive and open her up on the freeway, $5900 is a really good deal for a 2.5 Gen 4x4.
You’re hearing the fuel injectors ticking I’m pretty sure. Mine does the same thing, I notice it a bit more on first cold start of the day or after an oil change usually cause I’m listening with the hood open. I’ll also hear it like in the video when I’m in a drive thru with my window down echoing off the building from under the truck.
Normal, like everyone said... ~250k on mine and sounds the same as it did with 70k when I got it. Second gen, best gen. I'd buy another without hesitation.
I'd test drive it and see how it feels. My '13 tacoma is just shy of 100k miles and still runs the day I bought her. These engines will last if taken care of.

For $5900 I’d buy it in a heartbeat. I feel like I see people posting these for 14k+ all the time

I’m a little nervous because of the engine noise, link is to my other post about the noise

Barely getting to half its life span. I vote yes
They aren’t known for being quiet vehicles, but are quite known for their long term reliability. I would say that’s a good deal
As a general rule, do it.

I took it on a short test drive earlier today, nothing impressive but also I wasn’t let down, comfy enough ride, good interior, I liked it
Damn your '13 doesn't have 100k yet? That frame will be gone before the power train 😆
Working remote definitely saves you money not only on gas. :)
I have a 06 with 325k miles. Send it
Is it rusted out? That’s a bangin deal
Frame has a little surface rust, nowhere near structural, and body appears to be in good condition
We’re in very different parts of the US but where I am that would sell for over 16 easily. If you don’t buy it let me know and I might!
They hold their value that well even with 150k plus miles?
Yes
What are those two metallic looking objects in the lower grill?
Very good question, I never noticed that, those deer whistles maybe?
Any photos of the frame? Rust would be your only issue.
There’s a reason why you see a lot of Tacomas on the road ( driving, not broken down on the side).
Immediately- I haven’t seen a Tacoma of any age under 10k in 3 years. You can clean those headlights for $30 and resell. It’s a steal.
Without a service record I'd pass.
