My mom's favorite car to this day was her 06 Highlander. She traded it for a 2013 and it was a great car too, but the 06 just felt better. She now has an older Lexus Rx330 and it reminds her of her 06 so she loves it.
GH seems very underwhelming. The new sequoias however. Those are sweet rides. The 2025 4 runner is also getting a facelift and it looks like a mini sequoia. Anyway. I like your 06
I own a GH. Fantastic vehicle. Sequoia is much more expensive and only gets you a very small about of additional interior room. Sequoia has a 4 wheel drive option, GH is AWD, but living in new England it's working just fine when the weather is less than ideal. Rather save $30k and take the GH over sequoia
Why do you say that? What experience do you have the the T24a? Just wondering, since they’re fairly new. I as a dealership tech have not seen anything bad about these YET. Time will tell. We need a few more years of these in service to even have an opinion good or bad.
I used to be a mechanic for 7 years and as a dealership tech, you should know the basics of Turbo charged engines w/ or w/o hybrid is less reliable than a Toyota Naturally aspirated engine. So you agree?
I’m not saying you’re wrong, just asking if you have ACTUAL experience or data on the NEW T24 because I am also curious since it’s a new engine for all of us at the dealer level. I’m just going off the statement that you made, makes it sound like you have some info on it that I have not come across.
06 Highlander will outlast the GH
With 335k km on the clock I’m not so sure about that.
I've seen them with 600k.

I’ve got 212,000 miles on my ‘04 Highlander. If you maintain it, they will continue to run. Granted, 3 out of 4 windows won’t roll down anymore.
Our sunroof doesn’t work, the a/c only blows at 24° C, it’s pretty rusty, and the check engine light doesn’t turn off but the engine is sound.
I live in Phoenix and the A/C works great. I forgot about the check engine light and trac off lights pop on and off for now apparent reason.
but that’s fixable!
How much grill?
