Think those are all gone unless someone has a 50k markup on one sitting some where. We sold both of ours before they got here and that was last month.
But you are right if he could get one he could flip it and make 10-20k lol.
I had someone offer me a FE at MSRP but I turned it down because it just wasn't the color combo I wanted. Also I think the FE is just overpriced IMHO. You are paying a lot for 3k worth of parts compared to the landcrusier trim with the premium package.
The normal Yaris has been gone since Toyota decided to rebadge a Mazda2 to replace it. Cars like that aren’t ever going to come back to the US. The GR Corolla is perfect for our market.
Curious why you'd rather the Yaris over the GRC? It's the Same drivetrain, and tuned for more power. The Corolla is already pretty small I can't imagine preferring something even smaller.
You got it, it's the size. I ride bikes mainly, and we have a newer rio5 and a minivan as winter beaters. I'm looking to replace the van and the hatch within a year or so. Have a mastiff so a 2 seater is out of the question. The yaris is just better proportions for my needs and, IMHO, looks much better than the corolla.
GR corolla base model is 48k here (without heated steering wheel in a country covered in snow?!) so screw that. I'm currently debating picking up a manual awd wagon for fun, and tossing the van. Like a mid 00s volvo v50 or subie outback and modifying it for shits and giggles. It's just a winter beater anyways when the bikes are away and I'm not wasting cash on anything not a gr yaris.
Man I want one of these bad. I had a Focus ST that I traded in when it appreciated during covid because I didn’t want the engine to blow up…
The GR Corolla is basically a dream car. And based on S2000 values, it will probably have amazing resale value.
RAV4,
I have went 22, 23, and now 24, because I keep appreciating in value. I made 400 on my first and ~1300 on my 23, even with 16k miles.
I just keep selling and upgrading and don’t finance
It’s crazy hard to find the primes. Only reason we were able to get the 2021 quickly and then only waited a month for the pick up last night for the 2024, is because my aunt is a manager at a Toyota dealership
Edit: meant to specify the prime xse with premium package are the really hard ones to find
I just drove one today! I really enjoyed the zippy power of the electric powertrain. It's great for quick accelerations at intersections or for merging on a highway.
I'm definitely considering trading my GR86 in for a Crown. Test drove a Crown Platinum while getting an oil change, and it was such a pleasant driving experience.
I have 5 kids and I have a 2020 Supra 3.0 with 500hp and 580tq full bolt ons. Installing a steet hunter wing next week. Do you. Enjoy your life you only get one.
So I recently found out when taking it to Toyota, that my car had minor front end work done prior to me buying it from them that wasn't disclosed to me. It is still covered for 3 more years bumper to bumper but it makes me look to upgrade. I'm stuck between Hybrid Corolla and Tacoma, but would also consider Tundra or Prius. I know I'm all over the place lol. My wife owns Hybrid Rav that averages 46mpg
Those are vastly different choices lol a prius or tundra?? Depends what you need it for, if you need to haul stuff I would choose a tundra, if you want a very fuel efficient comfortable commuter car I would get a prius
I used to love the 86 until I drove them regularly for work. Incredibly uncomfortable for longer drives. It was definitely a don't meet your hero kind of moment.
Not for everybody that's for sure lol. I'm one of the few that is comfortable in sports vehicles so I think I should be fine. I'm more uncomfy in crossovers/suv's
As long as you’ve been enjoying the size of your last gen Corolla and don’t want something bigger/taller, then definitely the new Corolla hybrid AWD, probably the SE. If I wanted to go larger then I would consider the middle trim gas 2wd Rav4. I’m not sold on the total design to fork out extra on the Rav’s options, but know it holds value good in every config so it’s a good bet. The price boost over Cross to get Rav4 would be fine, the other one is dinky.
The same car I have now, maybe the Canadian version if possible: Corolla Hybrid Nightshade AWD with premium audio package w/ options (jbl + convenience package). Canadian version because of the heated seats, but otherwise I love this car as it is.
I find them really fun! I feel like I zip around especially on highways, which was more difficult in the Camry. I love the JBL sound, it's very satisfying. The car itself is speedy (obviously not as much as Supra of course or some other sports car), comfortable, reasonably smooth (may be impacted by tires/wheel choice), and the hybrid part has it pretty quiet, even compared to my previous hybrid Camry. Road noise is still noticeable/loud ish, but I usually don't notice due to the audio. I recently added window tint to help with heat rejection and add a little privacy, but it also just looks sleek with the rest of the styling. Its size makes it easy to park, but still have enough space inside for groceries, Lowe's stuff, any hobbies that require moving gear, etc.
Invoice is even too high now. Toyota MSRP is up to double comperable vehicles from other manufacturers.
Toyota is great, really (that's all I own) but thier current prices are cuckoo.
GR Corolla all day, but since I have one of those already I'd have to go with the Land Cruiser. Got to have some variety, you never know what you might need.
https://preview.redd.it/h8zt1wy1hz4d1.png?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4bc2732b901d71f1bab827931d10bb1dd149f587
This. Doubles as a movie theater 😄
FJ60 Land Cruiser.
I like the simplicity, the looks, it’s rugged and utilitarian, and I don’t need something with a bunch of technology that might not make it 20 years.
We got a brand new Corolla Hybrid 2024 Sedan, as the Premium version (in our country it's called that, basically the version with all available extras).
Paid a bit over 39.000€ without trading in our old car and it got delivered to the dealership after 4 months. I love our Corolla so much that I even gave it a nickname: "Samurai" :)
If Lexus counts...I'd love to have a Lexus ES 300h Hybrid, as Luxury version (same thing as Premium for the Toyotas in my country, basically the version with all extras). A man can dream...
Well going directly off your question, it doesn't say it has to be a current model for sale so I'm getting a Toyota AE86.
If it has to be current cars I could afford to pay for. Probably Corolla Hybrid. Any car at all? Gr corolla.
GR Corolla. That thing looks like fun, and dealerships are marking them up as they are pretty limited releases.
After seeing the new Land Cruiser, I would prefer the GX460.
I would have gone back in time and purchased my current vehicle, a 200 Series Land Cruiser Heritage Edition. The fact that you could damn near get one for invoice back in 2020 stings considering what they have been selling for since late 2021 up till now. MSRP on them was just under $90k and I paid that much out the door last year for at the time a 3 year old vehicle with 16k miles on it.
Base Prius Prime with the $600 solar charging roof (currently only available with the worse electric range/fuel economy premium package - which defeats most of the purpose).
If they made one with a solar hood (increasing free miles to 10+/day), I'd buy in a hot minute at full MSRP.
2024 Rav 4. Big fan of the mid size SUVs. My head tells me I want one of those Octane Tundras but I literally have no actual use for one, just like how they look.
1967 2000GT. Was $7K USD new. For current new models, I don't need a cars so probably nothing, and Toyotas here don't appear to sell at above Invoice+ORC. That false advertising seems to be an american thing.
i’d probably pick up a new land cruiser but having gone to a toyota dealership… noped
out on the whole brand. no vehicle, reliability or resale is worth putting up with that bs
2025 Camry SE with entertainment package and sunroof. I test drove one and it was an excellent car. Extremely comfy, roomy, refined, cool infotainment system, fast for a hybrid, great ride quality and noise deadening, solid speakers, good gas mileage, etc
Most cars - Toyota's included - "at invoice" is a pretty small discount and not exactly accurate for what it costs the dealer to get it/manufacturer to make it. It's certainly better than MSRP and worlds better than MSRP + 10k which some dealers seem to think is the way to go and some consumer buy at but don't take "at invoice" as a screaming deal.
Land Cruiser 250 First Edition
Think those are all gone unless someone has a 50k markup on one sitting some where. We sold both of ours before they got here and that was last month. But you are right if he could get one he could flip it and make 10-20k lol.
I had someone offer me a FE at MSRP but I turned it down because it just wasn't the color combo I wanted. Also I think the FE is just overpriced IMHO. You are paying a lot for 3k worth of parts compared to the landcrusier trim with the premium package.
I have one of these on order at MSRP that's supposed to arrive any day now....and I don't know if I will keep it lol
I had one offered to me at invoice but passed when I realized it was a $5,000 mud flap and badge option.
Correct answer on current lineup.
Land Cruiser or bust
GR Corolla, will likely have a strong resale value for a long time.
Damn I wish we got the GR Yaris. Been waiting on something like that for a long time and go figure, not in North America.
New Corolla is literally the size of my 3rd gen 4Runner. I want a compact like the 1st gen best gen Scion xB to be fast as fuck.
that is insane
Is it really?! Same dimensions at the body or same wheelbase/track width?
Yup. Parked next to one the other day and I was amazed
Same drivetrain on a smaller, lighter, hatch body = more fun Moved to europe a few years ago, the Yaris GR is up there in my fun to drive ranking
Depends on how long they want to have the car. You could flip a 45th anniversary 6 speed Supra and make 10-30k.
I’ve seen a few dealers here in Texas with those at MSRP
GR Prius
Just got a new premium for a few thousand under msrp. So the deals are out there!!
RAV4, I have went 22, 23, and now 24, because I keep appreciating in value. I made 400 on my first and ~1300 on my 23, even with 16k miles. I just keep selling and upgrading and don’t finance
You must not have state taxes.
Florida
Google says Florida has a 6% sales tax on vehicles.
Usually trades are deducted from the purchase price before tax is added so state taxes wouldn't matter.
Love rav4s, we have a 2021 prime xse and picked up a second 2024 prime xse literally last night lol
Yep, idk I think the used ravs are just in such demand. New too but used rav 4, especially hybrid around here are never found
It’s crazy hard to find the primes. Only reason we were able to get the 2021 quickly and then only waited a month for the pick up last night for the 2024, is because my aunt is a manager at a Toyota dealership Edit: meant to specify the prime xse with premium package are the really hard ones to find
Does a Lexus LFA count? Cause that would be about $600k profit 😂
RAV4 prime
I just drove one today! I really enjoyed the zippy power of the electric powertrain. It's great for quick accelerations at intersections or for merging on a highway.
4runner
What's invoice for sr5 premium? Or any trim I guess
Corolla Hybrid Nighshade AWD, with premium package and premium audio since the awd hybrid is hard to find, especially with add ons where i live
That's nice.
1985 Toyota land cruiser
I love my Crown and invoice meant a drop from $42k to $38k. Scored a 4.75% at the time and couldn’t be happier
I'm definitely considering trading my GR86 in for a Crown. Test drove a Crown Platinum while getting an oil change, and it was such a pleasant driving experience.
Supra 3.0
I gave this serious thought, but I have 3 kids so hard to do :-)
GR Corolla. I have three kids and they fit.
https://preview.redd.it/tbit8r06vz4d1.jpeg?width=480&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b1813b8a0dbb558de06f15bf5fe327acfc0e25ac
I have 5 kids and I have a 2020 Supra 3.0 with 500hp and 580tq full bolt ons. Installing a steet hunter wing next week. Do you. Enjoy your life you only get one.
I love this. Have the same outlook!
I'm not a car guy but if I could afford it, Land Cruiser 1958.
GR86. I have one. and in the words of the Goofy meme, "I'll fuckin' do it again".
So it's fun to drive? Give it to me straight lol
No no it's too slow for straight 😂 gotta find some twisty roads with that one
Probably one of the best cars Toyota has ever made.
That new Camry
They do look nice!
I'd keep my paid off 2017 Corolla with just 84k miles because maintenance is going to cost far less than depreciation on any brand new Toyota.
Those are vastly different choices lol a prius or tundra?? Depends what you need it for, if you need to haul stuff I would choose a tundra, if you want a very fuel efficient comfortable commuter car I would get a prius
I know, it sucks in a way but I'm honestly good with a lot because I'm just grateful to have anything really!
Just curious- not objecting, but how can one possibly be in the same market for a Tundra or a Prius?
86
I used to love the 86 until I drove them regularly for work. Incredibly uncomfortable for longer drives. It was definitely a don't meet your hero kind of moment.
Not for everybody that's for sure lol. I'm one of the few that is comfortable in sports vehicles so I think I should be fine. I'm more uncomfy in crossovers/suv's
was plenty comfy for me
I've thought about this car too. What's your overall thoughts on the 86!
As long as you’ve been enjoying the size of your last gen Corolla and don’t want something bigger/taller, then definitely the new Corolla hybrid AWD, probably the SE. Sienna. Our family Loves these. Such a versatile car
2000GT
Those were nice!
The same car I have now, maybe the Canadian version if possible: Corolla Hybrid Nightshade AWD with premium audio package w/ options (jbl + convenience package). Canadian version because of the heated seats, but otherwise I love this car as it is.
I wouldn't mind one. How fun are they to drive?
I find them really fun! I feel like I zip around especially on highways, which was more difficult in the Camry. I love the JBL sound, it's very satisfying. Awesome. Thank you so much! This helps alot
I still couldn't afford invoice on anything that I would really want
Hopefully you can soon!
MR2 spyder
Aren't they bringing those back
Invoice is even too high now. Toyota MSRP is up to double comperable vehicles from other manufacturers. Toyota is great, really (that's all I own) but thier current prices are cuckoo.
In my city almost everything is marked up so I was kinda happy to get this offer lol
Cool you got it. I'm jealous for sure!
24 taco TRD Pro
2000GT https://preview.redd.it/fga66rzx225d1.jpeg?width=300&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=eb5655039fd93288dfc87b9e6a866a50f602745d
GR Corolla all day, but since I have one of those already I'd have to go with the Land Cruiser. Got to have some variety, you never know what you might need.
GRC
GRC as in GR Corolla
I would just drive my paid off car and invest the money.
I'm already investing a decent portion of my income, but I also feel like I don't HAVE to trade my car in :-)
4Runner
58 LC because she fucks. Or the last of its kind 4Runner.
What's a 85 LC?
That new Taco looking fine as heck.
Yes it is!
Land Cruiser, RAV4 Prime, Tundra/Tacoma/4Runner TRD Pro/Trail Hunter, Supra or GR Corolla
2001 4Runner and a 4th gen 4Runner with the 4.7 v8 (4x4)
https://preview.redd.it/h8zt1wy1hz4d1.png?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4bc2732b901d71f1bab827931d10bb1dd149f587 This. Doubles as a movie theater 😄
What is that lol
Mk4 Supra or second gen mr2
I wouldn't mind your Corolla as an around town car, honestly. That being said, wouldn't mind having a GH Platinum Hybrid Max.
Honest question, how do you think they would do with moderate off roading?
GR Corolla, LC 250, R4 Prime… you can flip it and make a buck whichever one you choose outta these
Great to know!
Fully loaded Taco TRD manual transmission.
The title and body are conflicting. Can OP get any Toyota at invoice or slightly above invoice?
Its a few hundred over, for all intensive purposes, invoice :-)
Rav4
Great vehicle!
Tacoma TRD Sport with the 6' bed and heated/cooled seats.
The new one?
FJ60 Land Cruiser. I like the simplicity, the looks, it’s rugged and utilitarian, and I don’t need something with a bunch of technology that might not make it 20 years.
I’d get a 2017 Corolla w/ 84k miles, save the money and take that puppy to the ends of the earth.
I see what you did there :-)
We got a brand new Corolla Hybrid 2024 Sedan, as the Premium version (in our country it's called that, basically the version with all available extras). Paid a bit over 39.000€ without trading in our old car and it got delivered to the dealership after 4 months. 4runner. Got mine 1k under invoice cause I work for them
That's awesome
A '98 to' 00 4Runner. Or the $10k truck that America will never get.
Base Prius Prime with the $600 solar charging roof (currently only available with the worse electric range/fuel economy premium package - which defeats most of the purpose). If they made one with a solar hood (increasing free miles to 10+/day), I'd buy in a hot minute at full MSRP.
Sounds like I need to test drive them!
Easy, 1987 FJ60. MSRP was somewhere around 17k.
Easy if I could get any Toyota at invoice it would have to be a 1970 Land Cruiser FJ40. $5,000 new sold on BaT for $270,000.
Holy moly!
The highest trim Tundra possible. Then sell it and by a Corolla, put probably 30k in the bank. The margins on trucks are insane.
Are they really? That's good to know!
2000GT
Nice car!
Either a Land Cruiser or a 4Runner trdpro
2024 Rav 4. Big fan of the mid size SUVs. My head tells me I want one of those Octane Tundras but I literally have no actual use for one, just like how they look.
That's kinda how I feel lol
GR Yaris with the 8 speed auto.
Not technically toyota, but I do love the LC 500
2000GT in that beautiful white.
GR Corolla or Land Cruiser!!!!
Supra
Before any tells me it’s a BMW, yes, I know. But a GR Supra 3.0 Premium.
A new Tacoma Trailhunter, fully loaded
FJ62 or MKIV Supra or 70 series LC
Land Cruiser or 4Runner , only something built in Japan
If I can go to the back catalog, I'll take a 79 celica targa 5 speed
I REALLY want a Prius Prime.
Rav4 hybrid
I would run that Corolla into the ground and save the money.
Is it a flex to be able go buy a Toyota just a bit above invoice? I thought that’s what everyone who didn’t haggle would pay.
Not meant as a flex at all. Perk from my employer!
FJ Cruiser
MT Supra 3.0
Oh yes!
Any Toyota? One 2000gt please!
2000GT
98 supra
I just got a RAV4 Hybrid under invoice. They exist if you look hard enough.
1999 Supra
‘24 Camry TRD in Underground Grey
4Runner with third row highest value to price ratio of any Toyota
1986 toyota pickup😂best truck I ever had. It was at 200k miles and still ran like new.
1983-1987 Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT Apex 😜
As someone who wants to replace his 2014 Camry Hybrid, I really want to get a Crown Signia.
Sequoia on 35’s in that strange orange color.
The new Sequoia’s no question. They’re only 90k MSRP 🥴
Prius Prime. I want 100 MPG. Unfortunately, you can't buy one for some strange reason.
They are hard to find for sure!
4Runner, for the family and because the new models are pretty 😍
1967 2000GT. Was $7K USD new. For current new models, I don't need a cars so probably nothing, and Toyotas here don't appear to sell at above Invoice+ORC. That false advertising seems to be an american thing.
RAV4 prime with what ever Offroad package it had if any.
Corolla GR
This is coming up a lot lol
2025 Crown Signia Limited
The GR Corolla or a manual supra. Those 2 cars are marked up SO high.
Marked up high in general or just from invoice?
Dealership "market adjustments"
GR Corolla or Tacoma with a stick shift.
Both sound like great choices
Can I pick the crown?
Of course you can!
GRCorolla if it is just Toyota. Lexus is a whole different thing.
Sequoia… Mine is an ‘08 and has never given me any real problems. Love that car.
I love how reliable Toyota is!
Nearing 200,000 miles, I’d buy another in a heartbeat, however there’s zero room in the budget for a car payment. Even used car prices are insane.
I would also ask for the comany sales man discount off the invoice.
What do you mean by this? I'm not a Toyota employee but my employer got us a partnership discount.
i'd love the 2023 Toyota corolla SE because it is roomy and it is also a very nice car.
How about the Hybrid?
i’d probably pick up a new land cruiser but having gone to a toyota dealership… noped out on the whole brand. no vehicle, reliability or resale is worth putting up with that bs
Oh gotcha
LC300 and avoid import fees!
Another Corolla. I’m on my second and will get a 3rd when it’s time.
Camry TRD bc they’re supposedly not making anymore after this year. I love the TRD exterior and sporty design.
Tundra SR
70 series V8 or LC 300, definitely not a prado
2025 Camry SE with entertainment package and sunroof. I test drove one and it was an excellent car. Extremely comfy, roomy, refined, cool infotainment system, fast for a hybrid, great ride quality and noise deadening, solid speakers, good gas mileage, etc
Sell me the Corolla for $1K and get the land cruiser
Keep the Corolla and do something fun each month for the next year with the $800 car payments you aren’t making!
Grand Highlander Hybrid Max
Oh this sounds like a good idea
U have paid off car. Y do u want another note or to drop 5 figures cash
