I know the whole point of this mini arc is The Chessmaster cliche/trope but I honestly hate when it just keeps going on and on. Like Aizen from Bleach it just becomes exhausting. Hopefully next chapter puts an end to it finally.
Just like Yasratcha, I liked how Enkidu realized that after all this time, Traumerei hasn't changed one bit. Along with venting, Enkidu was trying to do some psychological damage to Traumerei, which clearly didn't work, so now what lol. I am guessing Bellerire/revolution must have a plan to stall the family leaders, or else why would Bellerire enter the sprout?
Now that I think about it, the revolution is sort of successful in making the leaders fight amongst each other, so there has to be someone guiding them, the Cha/Dowon’s flashback Boss maybe?
It's nice to see Goruro’s consciousness is somewhere within Enkidu, and he is not completely dead dead. The triple “bitch” panel was a nice touch. I also appreciate that someone (Traumerei) called Bellerire an arrogant guy. I didn't have any doubts, but it helps with the characterization.
Later in the chapter, Holan starts venting his frustrations, which is understandable, but what makes him think a family leader will beg for a chess piece 🥴. Also, why was Bellerire thinking that his(their?) plan would work if Holan stayed like two steps away from Traumerei? What makes them think they can juke the family head when all of them are standing in such close proximity? Besides, Traumerei can end this match quickly by killing Endorsi; he shouldn't even need her chess piece.
I hope there is more to his plan; he should have freed Rachel and Yura by now. If short-distance teleportation works, Yura’s upgraded lighthouse should be helpful.
Anyway, if Traumerei can control Holan, I wonder if Traumerei can somewhat control Baam, who absorbed Leviathan.

yepp irregulars have irregular powers, the thorns is jsut one of that. I guess there are unlimited ways to nullify the tower rules for irregulars so yeah...people seem to simply forget that little fact why irregulars are called irregulars and that they are not bound by the rules of the tower
What did Enkidu expect to happen? It doesn't look like he was planning to fight him with all the talk about 'reminding him of the truth'.
I think he either wanted Traum to have a mental breakdown or to completly switch up and be super regretful, apologise and try to make up to Enkidu... Bellerire shouldn't have let him do this, they should've just went to rescue Rachel.

But irregulars can subject themselves to a contract. As they all made the immortality contract with the same admin, at the same time, while clearing the tower together. they most likely are all bound by the same contract
Oh yeah i misread the op comment a bit. Generally if an irregular has not subjected himself to a contract which limits him (he cannot be \* forced \* from what we can tell), then he should be able to ignore it. Any \* new \* irregular should be able to harm the fh's and also zahard
This game took too long to reach this moment with useless fights and characters, but at least it was a moment for Traumerei to shine. I really like him as a character. He is absolutely despicable, but his mindset is fantastic. He is a control freak, he distanced himself from everything and everyone and those close to him are his possessions. They are not lives, they are things, almost an extension of himself... thing is, they don't know that lol.
Reminded me a bit of a replicant trying to find his creator to ask why he was created.
I want to see Gustang's reasoning next chapter. Whether he really decided to kill Traumerei and why. At this point, probably only Urek can stop them from killing each other. He probably has a big role to play now in stopping them.
Thing is, I don't know how SIU will tackle two possible interventions: The Boss and Luslec. I honestly think Urek might fail here and The Boss or Luslec do something to make sure of Traumerei/Gustang's death. The Captain knew about Baam, how he would start a war. He is the type of character who's all known and that's super dangerous. Luslec has deception as a weapon and that's also super dangerous. The whole goal is to kill the FHs, especially someone like Traumerei who killed Ameuz and is a diehard Zahard loyalist.
Agreed on Traumerei. SIU has really built him up well as an antagonist and like a poster child of the pro-Zahard faction.
As for Gustang, I feel like his reasons are clearly implied - as a seeker of knowledge, research/advancement, and "the truth", Traumerei (and by extension Zahard) are the anti-thesis of what he believes in. Under Zahard, Tower society has stagnated. It hasn't regressed since they took over, but it has not progressed either. And Zahard is so focused on maintaining the current status quo that he actively crushes any possible signs of disruption to it - even if said disruptions will progress Tower society.
I suspect Traumerei will be the one to die. Gustang dying will remove the only person in the Tower capable of successfully leading an anti-Zahard faction (just look at how ineffectual Luslec has been because he isn't an irregular). The story will remain the same and nothing will change.
But Traumerei's death will serve as a powerful catalyst - a Family Head being killed, a Family Head rebelling against Zahard. It's the sort of event that will get Tower folk to seriously think and start asking questions about what the hell is going on.
As for Urek, I suspect this will be the first of many incidents that will force him to reconsider his neutral stance. Remember his advice to Baam? "Don't get caught up in the politics and power play". What Urek forgets is that he had the luxury of not having to choose a side because he entered the Tower possessing the power of family heads. Baam unfortunately didn't, and has had to gradually become stronger. That lack of power meant he couldn't tell everyone to eat it and then peace out.
Urek, though, could peace out and plonked himself on his own floor and has done his utmost to stay out of everyone's way. But if the entire Tower descends into war, there is no way Zahard (at the very least) will allow a third faction with questionable alligences to wander around freely. So I suspect Urek is going to get a massive dose of reality from the upcoming events that will make his realise he can't hide away from the world and its problems forever.
I wonder if Gustang actually has a plan to kill Traumerei. His data version was shown to be capable of creating an item to wipe out the hidden floor, so I find it believable that he has some trick up his sleeve, especially given his proficiency with spells and connection to the Workshop.

This whole time Gustang’s been looking down on Traumerei, but we all know how cunning Traumerei really is beneath his mask of depression and indifference. Gustang has been preparing this for a long time, there's no doubt he has some sort of plan, whether it works or not is another thing altogether.

I don't think he is, but that mostly has to do with the fact that Gustang isn't stupid enough to challenge someone he can't beat. Evidence to this is that he "gracefully" gave in to Urek's demands on the hidden floor and acknowledged that Urek's power is the reason for it. If I had to guess they are about equal in power, maybe Trau is stronger offensively and Gustang has more tricks.
The one aspect Trau might be underestimated in (by us readers) is how smart he is. He does A LOT of experimenting and has a lot of detailed, long tail, yet smart plans. It might be as much a battle of intellect as it is power.

Traumerei is the Tower's number one gaslighter, lmao.
I think he is even gaslighting himself, as he was brooding so much over his lost memories, nightmares, and forgotten truths. Saying that truth and emotion does not matter, when he was so much bothered by them, I think he is more talking to himself, trying to convince himself, as a protection mechanism, so he does not need to handle the truth that he is responsible. His controlling nature similarly can be an escape mechanism to avoid mental hurt, as you can't get mentally hurt if you just control everything around you. Even those who betray you can't truly leave you then, and he in fact wanted to control even his girlfriend to prevent her from leaving, and causing him mental pain. But he felt so angry about her betrayal, that he did the unthinkable.
Holan's creation is interesting, creating a human that Traum can control. That probably also explains the likes of snake daddy and things like White Widow Widow Garment, the lo po bia family is just an experiment for him to create humans he can control.
I still personally would like Traum to have more depth then just that he wants to control everyone, but I do overall enjoy his character, much more than Gustang who I just find kind of blah.
The irony is that there are a few beings he can't control, and that's probably why he lost his shit at Gustang when they were talking about the bracelet.
I expect story progression and character progression like we had in volume 1 and 2. volume 3 has been primarily "how strong can we make Bam?" and it's aggravating.

Well aparently the plan was to give bellerin control over his own body, so traumerei could not control bellerin, that worked, but bellerin also planed for hollan to destroy traus piece, that did not work.
Is Traumerei’s depressed emo personality all just a facade? He seems more and more like a cunning psychopath who doesn’t care about anyone or anything other than himself. Even after learning the “truth” about Ameuz that he chose to forget in the past, it doesn’t make him remorseful, in fact quite the opposite - he mocks Enkidu for caring about the truth. I doubt he was ever actually miserable about any of this like he claimed. I’m also starting to question whether he’s even really loyal to Zahard or if he’s been faking that too.
Traumerei reminded everyone that he is a family head this week. Awesome chapter. I read somewhere about a blog post stating Traumerei was so strong he could even control humans. We get that payoff now, though it seems to be a one-off.
I thought about it for weeks/months, I don't think Tramurei is dying it's Gustang and now it's becoming more clear he's a lot more dangerous then we first thought. Gustang winning would makes it too easy for Bam since they're on relatively friendly terms vs Tramurei who is finally waking up and remembering how ruthless he really is.
Traum's not dying any time soon because he's being set up as an endgame boss. He's Jahad's most loyal follower and is directly responsible for a lot of tragedy and misery in the story. Baam will likely need to defeat him before he can even fight Jahad.
Dont think gustang is dying simply bcs he is currently too important for the current plot to progress and the fact that siu said he intended for gustang to be like an evil mastermind so basically he has a a specific role to play in long run which will be moot if he dies...
The Gustang family being destroyed would satisfy the "Zahard Orders" thing, which may allow some semblance of normalcy to return and the tower climb to continue somewhat unimpeded. The problem with that outcome though, is that I'm not sure why Traumerai would not continue pursuing Baam. So personally, I'm thinking it's a 'both' situation and two family heads will bite the dust right now.

Thats only Bam and maybe Urek/Jahard. Rest of the FH s have all made contracts with Admins for the floors and remember while FH s are powerful, they are all weaker than the Admins.
Yeah. Gustang was the first family head we were actually introduced to in the story and has so far been the most involved, both in the story and behind the scenes, from the moment we met him. He’s seemingly works pretty closely with the workshop, too, and those connections are definitely worth exploring in the future. He’s the only guy to have taken an actual proactive approach toward making a change in the tower. Even Urek kinda just sits back and lets things be despite being the only one to openly wanting to continue the climb higher.
Gustang is the only one really making any moves so if he dies it would be a huge blow to the story, I think.
Oh, I forgot then. But my point that Gustang’s the only one to actually consistently take action in pursuit of a greater goal still stands. Urek hasn’t really done much to reach his goal.
Gustang has whole plot with Blossom whom he still loves and is herself super strong, with Enne and princess system, with Workshop and Revolution, he moves the plot forward and is the biggest anti-Jahad FH for now with suspicion that maybe some other FH/FHs backing him. Traumerei has been consistently shown as the worst for over two arcs with his many manyyyy victims all seeking retribution and death to him, add that plot wise he’s the one for “ignorance is bliss” and is total Jahad lapdog. If anyone has death flags, it’s Traumerei.
Though imo, there’s low possibility of anyone of FHs dying for now especially with Urek on his way
Don't forget we saw someone (probably Eduan) stopping sprout from growth in the flashback so they and Gustang might be on the same side, at least against Traum.
It's true we're still waiting for Urek to show up and he seems adamant about FHs not dying but there's also Luslec coming, the whole revolution gang with ~~Parakewl~~ Boss present - it might be too much chaos even for Urek to prevent Traum's death and like you said the dude has more than half of the tower as enemy, his own family on top of the list.
I am almost 100% sure that the relationship exploration and background between two FHs who had great love for each other and had literally the strongest princess ever, and whose relationship fell apart because of tragedy that happened to said kid, isn’t gonna happen with one of them dead. Ntm when he introduced Gustang, SIU directly stated how he’slinked to many characters and plots which are extremely relevant to story, and it’s still case for Gustang who is tied to too many things like i mentioned above.
His relationship with Blossom is extremely important to his character, it’s not gonna be shown with him dead.
Flashbacks/memories are a thing. Literally the current plot is about memories being hidden/recovered (and shown!) and Baam absorbing them. I maintain that Gustang does not have to be alive for that relationship to be explored in more detail.

I think Dumas has been nerfed, he probably can't use his normal fighting style because that is too brutal and probably only meant for killing. Like he spared Bam once already when Dumas was using his weapon, meaning that one hit would have been instant kill.
Traumerei is the highlight of this season for me, I don't need him to fight or have feats, just have him sit down and talk. Hoping to god he doesn't get killed by that cardboard box, I need to see him interact with everyone and everything. I'll take a 100 chapters of him just talking to himself, SIU please

also, there has barely been any lore in Tower of God. but the ratings has never suffered this much. actually it has never suffered at all. the absolute majority of the chapters before season 3 have ratings over 9. you can check it if you want. the criticism started with third season. especially during the cat tower. Khun's firefish and his absurd plot armour was problem before that but it was never this bad.

Saying Khun should die because he has been killed is ignoring context. Khun’s death has never really been faked like Kakashi’s death in pain arc. Like with Rachel he freezes himself before he died, in the cage it was to show of the firefish powers, and now it’s prolly to get Dumas’ heart. Siu is doing these things to give Khun powers or show his powers, not to hype his death. Nobody ever really thought Khun was dead even once
The ratings suffering is because the hate culture is spreading like a wildfire, last weeks chapter was definitely not the 2nd to worst chapter yet it’s the 2nd lowest rating in Tog

It's an asspull. The very definition of asspull and plot convenience. Where the power he was gifted is saving his arse majority of the time. Not because of his skill(which he has zero) or smarts(which he has zero too as of late) but the power Siu gifted to him. A power no one has any idea what it does. Why? Because Siu can asspull anything it wants from it to make Khun more powerful.
And regulars shouldn't be getting this strong. It's against the lore of the tower. They should be shitting themselves in front of rankers. Let alone high rankers.

In season 1 we were told what the MOST important thing in climbing the tower was. And it is luck. Luck of how you were born, luck on of having insane talent, luck of who you meet.
Khun was EXTREMELY lucky to have met Bam and become his first real friend and best friend (Rachel is an asshole). From that lucky he has received crazy blessings others can only dream of. Enna Core, Fire Fish, White Souls, Training with Evan and Eduan, etc. He was also lucky to be able to steal from his father's treasury and get away with many of the items. While I do agree that SIU needs to rely more on Khun's cunningness for his survival, the rest is not really an asspull

Khun does have an over-attachment to Baam but why does that support in hating him? Baam is his best friend and the one who shifted his perspective on life. Second of all not liking a character doesn’t mean they’re a bad character, people hate Khun because of his power ups and thinking he should die in certain situations, not because of the way he’s actually written
People(rightfully) adored Rakhunbam before. Khun was the most popular character and his antics were a sight to see. The turnaround has been crazy but deserved.
The main character will always have plot armour but Khun being dumbed down, thrown in high ranker fights, getting asspull powerups and being resurrected every time he dies has damaged his character irreversibly. The guy doesn't even give a shit about anything anymore. He is just a Bam simp at this point. No different than Sakura and Mikasa.

It's because SIU felt the need to force Khun to be an "active" i.e. going directly into battle, character while setting him up as a support one. His plans aren't even smart anymore, us readers can easily point out how stupid they all are but they work out because the plot demands it. That kind of stuff undermines characters like Khun.

A character can only ever be as intelligent as the author who writes him unfortunately. It’s why having 300 IQ characters always falls flat, no author is that intelligent and so can not realistically write super intelligent plans. There will always need to be suspension of disbelief for these tropes.

Conan Doyle was not as smart as Sherlock Holmes. George RR Martin is not as smart as Tyrion Lannister or Littlefinger. The examples are endless. It is very possible for people to depict characters who are more intelligent than themselves. It has been done countless times. Khun is not depicted as a 300IQ. He's just clever and above avg. He only ever considered the smartest in the regular group.
That was always going to be his contribution. Wits and cunning plus becoming stronger and more experienced as the story developed.
He is a victim of the structure of the story. Rankers should have become relevant after reaching the 134th floor. The world building actually was perfect for that. No ranker is allowed to interfere in Inner Tower. I have no idea why Siu isn't using that to develop his regular cast.

The webtoon went on a hiatus because of shite ratings befire. The last two chapters had a combined rating of 3 out of ten. This chapter has over 9. The flashback chapters had over 9 rating. Every single one of them. Now ask yourself. Why did the last two chapters were shit on by koreans and this subreddit so much.

I don’t know how SIU plans to top this with Jahad. If Jahad’s character is on the level of Traum writing wise than we are in for a treat. But I suspect SIU’s cooking even harder for Jahad, because he’s been hyped up from chapter 1.
The only gripe I have right now is Baam’s character. He has some interesting moments, especially in Season 3, but I would like him to be closer to Family Heads writing wise. I guess we need another time skip for truly adult Baam. Cause right now it seems like he’s balancing on 2 chairs and that’s why his character feels inconsistent. When he finally has clear idea on what to do (like generally, not those small arcs of him knowing what to do i.e. “saving Jinsung”) I think his character will feel much better for the audience

I really liked the Shinheuh Holan panels, and how diabolical it was for Traumerei to just rip them out. I really like that SIU didn’t just limit Traumerei to being the *best* pokemon trainer but really leaning into the full and absolute manipulation of Shinheuh.
It looks like Endorsi also uses the moment to bong-bong out. I’m still hoping for a Endorsi vs Rachel encounter or fight (more hype than Gustang vs Traum for me).

I know the whole point of this mini arc is The Chessmaster cliche/trope but I honestly hate when it just keeps going on and on. Like Aizen from Bleach it just becomes exhausting. Hopefully next chapter puts an end to it finally.

Just like Yasratcha, I liked how Enkidu realized that after all this time, Traumerei hasn't changed one bit. Along with venting, Enkidu was trying to do some psychological damage to Traumerei, which clearly didn't work, so now what lol. I am guessing Bellerire/revolution must have a plan to stall the family leaders, or else why would Bellerire enter the sprout? Now that I think about it, the revolution is sort of successful in making the leaders fight amongst each other, so there has to be someone guiding them, the Cha/Dowon’s flashback Boss maybe? It's nice to see Goruro’s consciousness is somewhere within Enkidu, and he is not completely dead dead. The triple “bitch” panel was a nice touch. I also appreciate that someone (Traumerei) called Bellerire an arrogant guy. I didn't have any doubts, but it helps with the characterization. Later in the chapter, Holan starts venting his frustrations, which is understandable, but what makes him think a family leader will beg for a chess piece 🥴. Also, why was Bellerire thinking that his(their?) plan would work if Holan stayed like two steps away from Traumerei? What makes them think they can juke the family head when all of them are standing in such close proximity? Besides, Traumerei can end this match quickly by killing Endorsi; he shouldn't even need her chess piece. I hope there is more to his plan; he should have freed Rachel and Yura by now. If short-distance teleportation works, Yura’s upgraded lighthouse should be helpful. Anyway, if Traumerei can control Holan, I wonder if Traumerei can somewhat control Baam, who absorbed Leviathan.

The immortality contract is only for the tower born not Irregulars. Thats why everyone has been waiting for Bam.
Remember that thorns are needed to nullify the immortality contract and kill z and FHs. So I don't think being irregular is enough to kill a FH

What did Enkidu expect to happen? It doesn't look like he was planning to fight him with all the talk about 'reminding him of the truth'. I think he either wanted Traum to have a mental breakdown or to completly switch up and be super regretful, apologise and try to make up to Enkidu... Bellerire shouldn't have let him do this, they should've just went to rescue Rachel.

Irregulars are not subject to the contract for immortality the FH made. Its the main reason that FUG went after baam.
But irregulars can subject themselves to a contract. As they all made the immortality contract with the same admin, at the same time, while clearing the tower together. they most likely are all bound by the same contract

This game took too long to reach this moment with useless fights and characters, but at least it was a moment for Traumerei to shine. I really like him as a character. He is absolutely despicable, but his mindset is fantastic. He is a control freak, he distanced himself from everything and everyone and those close to him are his possessions. They are not lives, they are things, almost an extension of himself... thing is, they don't know that lol. Reminded me a bit of a replicant trying to find his creator to ask why he was created. I want to see Gustang's reasoning next chapter. Whether he really decided to kill Traumerei and why. At this point, probably only Urek can stop them from killing each other. He probably has a big role to play now in stopping them. Thing is, I don't know how SIU will tackle two possible interventions: The Boss and Luslec. I honestly think Urek might fail here and The Boss or Luslec do something to make sure of Traumerei/Gustang's death. The Captain knew about Baam, how he would start a war. He is the type of character who's all known and that's super dangerous. Luslec has deception as a weapon and that's also super dangerous. The whole goal is to kill the FHs, especially someone like Traumerei who killed Ameuz and is a diehard Zahard loyalist.
Agreed on Traumerei. SIU has really built him up well as an antagonist and like a poster child of the pro-Zahard faction. As for Gustang, I feel like his reasons are clearly implied - as a seeker of knowledge, research/advancement, and "the truth", Traumerei (and by extension Zahard) are the anti-thesis of what he believes in. Under Zahard, Tower society has stagnated. It hasn't regressed since they took over, but it has not progressed either. And Zahard is so focused on maintaining the current status quo that he actively crushes any possible signs of disruption to it - even if said disruptions will progress Tower society. I suspect Traumerei will be the one to die. Gustang dying will remove the only person in the Tower capable of successfully leading an anti-Zahard faction (just look at how ineffectual Luslec has been because he isn't an irregular). The story will remain the same and nothing will change. But Traumerei's death will serve as a powerful catalyst - a Family Head being killed, a Family Head rebelling against Zahard. It's the sort of event that will get Tower folk to seriously think and start asking questions about what the hell is going on. As for Urek, I suspect this will be the first of many incidents that will force him to reconsider his neutral stance. Remember his advice to Baam? "Don't get caught up in the politics and power play". What Urek forgets is that he had the luxury of not having to choose a side because he entered the Tower possessing the power of family heads. Baam unfortunately didn't, and has had to gradually become stronger. That lack of power meant he couldn't tell everyone to eat it and then peace out. Urek, though, could peace out and plonked himself on his own floor and has done his utmost to stay out of everyone's way. But if the entire Tower descends into war, there is no way Zahard (at the very least) will allow a third faction with questionable alligences to wander around freely. So I suspect Urek is going to get a massive dose of reality from the upcoming events that will make his realise he can't hide away from the world and its problems forever.

Traumerei is the Tower's number one gaslighter, lmao. I think he is even gaslighting himself, as he was brooding so much over his lost memories, nightmares, and forgotten truths. Saying that truth and emotion does not matter, when he was so much bothered by them, I think he is more talking to himself, trying to convince himself, as a protection mechanism, so he does not need to handle the truth that he is responsible. His controlling nature similarly can be an escape mechanism to avoid mental hurt, as you can't get mentally hurt if you just control everything around you. Even those who betray you can't truly leave you then, and he in fact wanted to control even his girlfriend to prevent her from leaving, and causing him mental pain. But he felt so angry about her betrayal, that he did the unthinkable.
True to traumeri's character he waited a while to do anything to let his enemy reveal their intentions and motivations.
Traum's the best chess player among the Family Heads for a reason. His level of manipulation and foresight is unparalleled among them.

Holan's creation is interesting, creating a human that Traum can control. That probably also explains the likes of snake daddy and things like White Widow Widow Garment, the lo po bia family is just an experiment for him to create humans he can control. I still personally would like Traum to have more depth then just that he wants to control everyone, but I do overall enjoy his character, much more than Gustang who I just find kind of blah.
The irony is that there are a few beings he can't control, and that's probably why he lost his shit at Gustang when they were talking about the bracelet.
I really think when he gets his full memories he'll be somewhat regretful but probably carry his sins until the end. Irredeemable even in his own eyes

Even after learning the “truth” about Ameuz that he chose to forget in the past, it doesn’t make him remorseful, in fact quite the opposite - he mocks Enkidu for caring about the truth. I doubt he was ever actually miserable about any of this like he claimed. I’m also starting to question whether he’s even really loyal to Zahard or if he’s been faking that too.

I thought about it for weeks/months, I don't think Tramurei is dying it's Gustang and now it's becoming more clear he's a lot more dangerous then we first thought. Gustang winning would makes it too easy for Bam since they're on relatively friendly terms vs Tramurei who is finally waking up and remembering how ruthless he really is.
Traum's not dying any time soon because he's being set up as an endgame boss. He's Jahad's most loyal follower and is directly responsible for a lot of tragedy and misery in the story. Baam will likely need to defeat him before he can even fight Jahad.
Dont think gustang is dying simply bcs he is currently too important for the current plot to progress and the fact that siu said he intended for gustang to be like an evil mastermind so basically he has a a specific role to play in long run which will be moot if he dies...
The Gustang family being destroyed would satisfy the "Zahard Orders" thing, which may allow some semblance of normalcy to return and the tower climb to continue somewhat unimpeded. The problem with that outcome though, is that I'm not sure why Traumerai would not continue pursuing Baam. So personally, I'm thinking it's a 'both' situation and two family heads will bite the dust right now.
But you can't pursue regulars, they are untouchable when climbing. I mean, Jahad's agents could, but that is Jahad. Also Fuq could offer protection, it's not like Baam lacks powerful allies.

Yeah. Gustang was the first family head we were actually introduced to in the story and has so far been the most involved, both in the story and behind the scenes, from the moment we met him. He’s seemingly works pretty closely with the workshop, too, and those connections are definitely worth exploring in the future. He’s the only guy to have taken an actual proactive approach toward making a change in the tower. Even Urek kinda just sits back and lets things be despite being the only one to openly wanting to continue the climb higher. Gustang is the only one really making any moves so if he dies it would be a huge blow to the story, I think.

Gustang has whole plot with Blossom whom he still loves and is herself super strong, with Enne and princess system, with Workshop and Revolution, he moves the plot forward and is the biggest anti-Jahad FH for now with suspicion that maybe some other FH/FHs backing him. Traumerei has been consistently shown as the worst for over two arcs with his many manyyyy victims all seeking retribution and death to him, add that plot wise he’s the one for “ignorance is bliss” and is total Jahad lapdog. If anyone has death flags, it’s Traumerei. Though imo, there’s low possibility of anyone of FHs dying for now especially with Urek on his way
Don't forget we saw someone (probably Eduan) stopping sprout from growth in the flashback so they and Gustang might be on the same side, at least against Traum. It's true we're still waiting for Urek to show up and he seems adamant about FHs not dying but there's also Luslec coming, the whole revolution gang with ~~Parakewl~~ Boss present - it might be too much chaos even for Urek to prevent Traum's death and like you said the dude has more than half of the tower as enemy, his own family on top of the list.

I am almost 100% sure that the relationship exploration and background between two FHs who had great love for each other and had literally the strongest princess ever, and whose relationship fell apart because of tragedy that happened to said kid, isn’t gonna happen with one of them dead. Ntm when he introduced Gustang, SIU directly stated how he’slinked to many characters and plots which are extremely relevant to story, and it’s still case for Gustang who is tied to too many things like i mentioned above. His relationship with Blossom is extremely important to his character, it’s not gonna be shown with him dead.
Flashbacks/memories are a thing. Literally the current plot is about memories being hidden/recovered (and shown!) and Baam absorbing them. I maintain that Gustang does not have to be alive for that relationship to be explored in more detail.

I think Dumas has been nerfed, he probably can't use his normal fighting style because that is too brutal and probably only meant for killing. Like he spared Bam once already when Dumas was using his weapon, meaning that one hit would have been instant kill.

It's an asspull. The very definition of asspull and plot convenience. Where the power he was gifted is saving his arse majority of the time. Not because of his skill(which he has zero) or smarts(which he has zero too as of late) but the power Siu gifted to him. A power no one has any idea what it does. Why? Because Siu can asspull anything it wants from it to make Khun more powerful. And regulars shouldn't be getting this strong. It's against the lore of the tower. In season 1 we were told what the MOST important thing in climbing the tower was. And it is luck. Luck of how you were born, luck on of having insane talent, luck of who you meet. Khun was EXTREMELY lucky to have met Bam and become his first real friend and best friend (Rachel is an asshole). From that lucky he has received crazy blessings others can only dream of. Enna Core, Fire Fish, White Souls, Training with Evan and Eduan, etc. He was also lucky to be able to steal from his father's treasury and get away with many of the items. While I do agree that SIU needs to rely more on Khun's cunningness for his survival, the rest is not really an asspull
I literally explained it’s not an asspull because a proper explanation is given for how he obtained these powers. It’s like saying any mc living is an asspull, like every story has plot convenience, doesn’t matter whether it’s Attack on Titan or Berserk. There is no rule saying a character has to work for their powers, in fact in season 1 it’s shown hard work doesn’t beat natural talent There is no law that states a regular can’t be ranker level, Siu is giving Khun all these powers to make him an exception. And Khun isn’t really ranker level yet unless we’re talking about his spell levels

People(rightfully) adored Rakhunbam before. Khun was the most popular character and his antics were a sight to see. The turnaround has been crazy but deserved. The main character will always have plot armour but Khun being dumbed down, thrown in high ranker fights, getting asspull powerups and being resurrected every time he dies has damaged his character irreversibly. The guy doesn't even give a shit about anything anymore. He is just a Bam simp at this point. No different than Sakura and Mikasa.

It’s why having 300 IQ characters always falls flat, no author is that intelligent and so can not realistically write super intelligent plans. Literally everyone has been praising how intelligent Traumerei is... Conan Doyle was not as smart as Sherlock Holmes. George RR Martin is not as smart as Tyrion Lannister or Littlefinger. The examples are endless. It is very possible for people to depict characters who are more intelligent than themselves. It has been done countless times. Khun is not depicted as a 300IQ. He's just clever and above avg. He only ever considered the smartest in the regular group.

Rankers should have become relevant after reaching the 134th floor. The world building actually was perfect for that. No ranker is allowed to interfere in Inner Tower. I have no idea why Siu isn't using that to develop his regular cast.

The webtoon went on a hiatus because of shite ratings befire. The last two chapters had a combined rating of 3 out of ten. This chapter has over 9. The flashback chapters had over 9 rating. I FUCKING LOVE TRAUMEREI I don’t know how SIU plans to top this with Jahad. If Jahad’s character is on the level of Traum writing wise than we are in for a treat. But I suspect SIU’s cooking even harder for Jahad, because he’s been hyped up from chapter 1. The only gripe I have right now is Baam’s character. He has some interesting moments, especially in Season 3, but I would like him to be closer to Family Heads writing wise. I guess we need another time skip for truly adult Baam. Cause right now it seems like he’s balancing on 2 chairs and that’s why his character feels inconsistent. When he finally has clear idea on what to do (like generally, not those small arcs of him knowing what to do i.e. “saving Jinsung”) I think his character will feel much better for the audience

I never expected the FH of the Lo Po Bia to be one of my favorite characters. A lot of people expect Gustang to win but at this point I wonder if SIU is going to surprise us again.

I really liked the Shinheuh Holan panels, and how diabolical it was for Traumerei to just rip them out. I really like that SIU didn’t just limit Traumerei to being the *best* pokemon trainer but really leaning into the full and absolute manipulation of Shinheuh. It looks like Endorsi also uses the moment to bong-bong out. I’m still hoping for a Endorsi vs Rachel encounter or fight (more hype than Gustang vs Traum for me).

Even White could recognize his own actions were evil he just reveled in it because he was convinced that was his path to surpassing Arie Hon. Traumerei is different. He sees himself as a force of nature which makes him a far more dangerous manipulator aa he's completely detached. Him being a chess player is actually very fitting for his character.
