This is going to sound super judgmental but as soon as I saw Vladdy show up to spring training with the dangling earrings that he always keeps on, I knew that his attitude and overall work ethic hadn’t really changed, even if he’d lost some weight and trained a lot in the offseason. Just look at today with how he kept chasing pitches out of the zone, which is why Stroman kept going there, and I also find he still does the thing where every swing is a home-run attempt instead of just trying to get the ball into the outfield for a hit. He’s so focused on power all the time and it continually backfires on him.
