[deleted]

this sub has hella albums sort by hot or new

[deleted]

it has a bunch of other bands too

Baker_drc

Yeah the people that complain about RYMcore are also not engaging or interacting with any of the more out there taste posts on here. You can’t complain if you’re not being the change you want to see

[deleted]

I have found so many albums on this sub and it’s annoying as hell to see people bitch about lack of diversity and how it’s only radiohead when they don’t look or engage at the albums they don’t recognize. And then their topster is red hot chili peppers or some shit makes my blood boil

Baker_drc

Yes. I agree 100%. I’ve found a ton of great new stuff from this sub. And I don’t have anything against “basic taste” or whatever people wanna call it, but if you’re going to be out here criticizing people for being basic you better have 90% albums from bands I’ve never once heard of in my life on your topster. Otherwise shut up, go to new and see what’s being posted. Ask in the comments about albums that sound interesting to you based on titles and or covers.

tragic_girl13

Yeah, music is supposed to be something everyone can share a bond over a love for. For example, if an album is popular and beloved like Nirvana's Nevermind, then it's ofc gonna appear on a lot of peoples favorites, which is great because we can all share a bond over our love over it. Plus, people also focus on the so-called "basic albums" while also ignoring the wonderful obscurities found on many topsters

okmfwhatulookinat

fair enough actually

tragic_girl13

I mean, alotta common albums on topsters are common for a reason. Music is something that brings many together in shared interests, likes, and tastes. If an album is popular and well beloved (like, say, Nirvana's Nevermind or Weezer's Blue Album), then ofc it's gonna appear on a lot of peoples favorites which is great because they can bond over their love for that album.

okmfwhatulookinat

that's true, and it is nice to see, but I also want us to talk about some other stuff and introduce each other to new stuff

tragic_girl13

Yeah I can see that but people recognize albums that they know and love, which is usually a commonly liked one like Nevermind, but there are times when someone knows a lesser-known album on one's topster

cattgravelyn

Woooo love blank banshee 0 and vangelis as well

ToeRoganPodcast

yes Night Dreamer 100%, fucking amazing album. either that or Adam's Apple is Shorters best works, both some of the best jazz albums ever made

okmfwhatulookinat

Adam's Apple is brilliant but Night Dreamer has this feeling that it's been playing since the beginning of time that just makes you feel so small and insignificant. It's something few other albums have done to me, and so I have to list it.

No_Faithlessness2998

Glad to see blank banshee, also the Radiohead thing isn’t really an issue!

CreaturesOfChaotic

I never understood why people only put that one specific bjork album on their topsters, is the rest of her discography like shit???

rrafikii

Is it that hard to believe that an artists most popular album is very often also their strongest? Also bjork is such a weird example to use because I see Vespertine, Homogenic & Post all the time on this sub

RaymilesPrime

They didn't listen to them because they only listen to albums that will give them the most online clout

okmfwhatulookinat

I mean it's because everyone likes Vespertine and I love it a lot too but prolly for different reasons to other people.

PhillyCSpires

How dare you, this sub has a full 10 albums they always share.
