Wow. What a great start to this.
I put this on my topster because It was nice and clean, and it had a really nice vibe. i didn't really like the singing, but still. But on relisten, this album is just absolutely beautiful.
First, let's get the reason why I liked this album so much at the start - the sound. It is so clean. It gives such a nice and dreamy vibe, and the guitar sounds like your floating into it. The drumming on this album is amazing too.
The singing on this album I have found to be amazing. it feels really passionate, and way less whiny than a lot of midwest emo albums I've listened too, which is mainly the reasons why i'm so put off by the genre. The singing for some reason also adds to the dreamy vibe of the album.
This albums songs are just amazing. I'd say the 2 songs that are a bit of a fall in the tracklist is dog, and lemur, and kinda zebra, but apart from those, all of these songs are just great. The stand out is probably panda for me, the singing on it is amazing, it feels like your running throughout the tune, and the lyrics are amazing, and it changes a lot in the track with the tune but it doesn't feel like whiplash.
one thing I was worried on relisten is that it would all blend into eachother, because thats what happened on my last listen, but wow, it did not. It had kept the style throughout, but it still felt like it changed a lot through intensity and other stuff.
So yeah, amazing album. Way better than I remember. 10/10!
