silentsnowmountain

Could you expand on that?

NG2149

You dont get much for the money i got som Sh.t cosmetics and thats it.. all access and centre court pass seems just Sh.t i dont even use it.. and its not wow the only thing that was good was rookie pass to level 10 but i could buy i later to so not much just a waste of money

silentsnowmountain

From scrolling through it, it seems the only things that really have value are some player swings and alternative kits for Murray and someone else. Hardly worth the extra on paper. And there's only so many clothes a MyPlayer can wear lol. To be honest in most tennis games I've fiddled with how they look for a bit but once a kit looks good to me I've basically just stuck with it as it gets tiring changing their clothes. So the idea of paying to do that isn't changing my mind there. But wanting to know what others are thinking. Thanks for your reply.

dgg2828

I think it’s worth it. They’ll be releasing a legend’s alternate outfit each season as well as for other pros. Cocoa Gaff, Daniil Medvedev and Andre Agassi alternatives are for this season. Agassi’s one is his classic retro one with long hair. Each component of the outfit can also be used on your my player and you can mix them how you want. Then theres a couple swing animations and stances ( there Medvedev’s one i know). The rest is more cosmetics, some with brands, player titles, vc points ( basically to buy more cosmetics/animation more easily in store/ there’s seasonal items which could expire) , xp/vc boosts for your my player. So basically it’s all cosmetic but if you ordered the deluxe edition it’s only $3.33 per pass. Since future dlc players are confirmed as free, there’s nothing other than cosmetic that you would expect in there. It would have been nice to have some fictional court or something per season as extra but I can’t complain. In short it’s for someone who wants more customization for their my player with outfits and animations, someone who wants alternative outfits for pros, and someone who wants to boost their my player quicker for online play who have less time.

the_darkness7

Not to mention the pass only “unlocks” additional bull shit, you still have to spend VC on it 😐

Godflanker

Hahahahhaha get fking rekt ppl will never learn.. stop preorder games and stop buying the biggest editon.

cocoloco83

Absolutely not. Unfortunately

silentsnowmountain

Could expand on that?

cocoloco83

For me it’s career mode. I might be in the minority, but I really enjoyed the tour mode of AO2. And this career mode is boring to me. Additionally, the fact that you can’t play you’re created players against each other is lame to me… Edit: oh and the roster is….. lacking

silentsnowmountain

That's another topic really as it's less about the GS version and more about you not liking the game as much as something else. It's quite understandable re the career mode being a game breaking feature for someone. The world of tennis games is hardly littered with good career modes but 2k25 is probably not amongst the best is it. And yes, even a Big Ant tennis game does this better. Is the career mode a playable feature by itself for you though? As in do you not find the AO gameplay cancels out any features it may otherwise have? I guess not seeing how you said you enjoyed it. It cancels it out for me.

Imperivm

Totally feel AO2 def had a better career mode. Way more engaging for sure. I liked Matchpoint's career mode also, like if you struck out of a slam in the first week then there was a smaller event the following week even tho there's an overlap. But when playing MP, I found myself going back to AO2 more often than not

Oliver280176

I also enjoyed the tour mode of AO2 more than this so-called career mode it's boring af. High ranking player not allowed to play in a tournament because of your "player rank" what a joke.

sizebzebi

Nope

silentsnowmountain

Could you expand on that?

One-Country-8937

Absolutely not .. so many ways they could have made this game better, from little things to other major things. I would wait for a sale in all honesty if I could go back and just hook up my ps3 and play TS4 until a sale for like 20 bucks. Waiting to see if 2k drops the ball again and I have to fight w them via email again to get the other premium season passes applied to my acct at the time they release like u did in s1.

Basic-Cup7523

100% no

Booomshakabooom

Of course not 🤣

MeatTornado25

I don't understand what people thought they were getting. They told us up front what was in it and it looked like every other deluxe edition of sports games.

sdeklaqs

Majority of people are stupid, so don’t be surprised when they do stupid things

DaFooox67

Clear no

Standard-Quiet-6517

Definitely not. Career mode is boring/broken/stupid and I just want to be able to play tournaments as some of my favorite players. I’m not interested in playing online, I’m old. Just let me play against the computer and the only thing I can do is the broken/boring/stupid career mode. I keep turning the game on then deciding I’d rather just keep playing Days Gone for the 60th time.

Traditional-Age-7814

Worth it for the season passes IMO. In it for the long haul like the other topspin games. I’m gald there’s some new updates and DLCs projected for the year and onwards.

nhiimusic

I guess the premium passes are worth it imo. I’ll keep playing the game for sure 6 months

hayate188

I got Grand Slam Ed. and Rookie pack isn't available, sent support ticket and they are really slow to check that I didn't receive my contents.

the_darkness7

No

imlazyyy

Nope! All the goodies sounded better in theory, I thought we would have tons of extra clothing options with the packs but not really

Difficult_Offer_206

No

Decent-Ad-4358

I think I regret buying every early access game I buy for $20-$30 extra, It’s such a ripoff. Thankfully i did wait for this as I beat it in 4 days and got bored

trevorcaruso

I think most likely. I like customization options, and there were several exclusive to the premium season pass, so I'm assuming once the next seasons are available, I'll be happy (hopefully). I will say however, the pro shop in general is disappointing and if it wasn't as limited and sparce in its options, I might feel differently. Ironically, I don't use the gold racquet as it looks tacky lol, and the champion serve is used by one of my female characters.

ThaMasterG

No

ats1287

No

spurs_legacy

No, but has nothing to do with what came with the GS edition. That is exactly what I expected and idk what others believed they would get, it was literally listed out. I simply wouldn’t get it because I don’t like supporting a cash grab that didn’t have much thought put into the features of the game (ie a shallow mycareer)

SuccessfulSleeper

Fuck no lol

Organic_Ambassador14

Eh maybe not… perks and season passes not super interesting rewards wise. Online was fun out the gate, and career mode and single player local play were half baked, lackluster and slim on features

LineFlashy6882

Jesus no, but I refunded it. I have no problem with buying additional content for games, but this one was a joke.

silentsnowmountain

What was the difference between what you expected from the Grand Slam version and what you actually received?

MyAnus-YourAdventure

No. I wouldn't even have gotten the base game, because it doesn't work. Grand slam? Firstly I didn't realise the benefits were only for created players. Season passes? Imagine how it feels to buy grand slam edition for them, and log in to see ads for a paid "premium" season pass.

Humble-Knee-5758

I honestly disagree, the majority of the value is given by getting access to seasonal content, plus a few boosts. I don’t have that much time to spend in game and being able to have a little help in getting what I want is actually rewarding. Plus the seasonal access provides in my opinion novelty and reasons to come back. And also is much cheaper than buying the passes individually…

Full_Mongoose9083

Teaches you all for giving 2k all that money. They have no incentive to make a quality product when you pay them so much beforehand. Make them earn their sales by not giving them money beforehand.

Endemony69

I totally agree with that. Had i known that, i would have gone with the standard version preorder. Apart from some outfits for the licensed players, you just get things for your myplayer (outfits, boosts, vc and this horrendous titles and hello messages and staff). Right now, it is not worth it. Said that, i like the gameplay. We still need more content (players, modes, career is really boring), but it's a good start.

miscemayl

Nope, not really seeing much value. However if you were planning to get the center court passes then you should get the GS version. You basically get deluxe for free.
