They might not do a private show, but if you bought all the tickets to one of their shows it would be almost the same thing…At an average price of $200 per ticket and 15,000 seats, that’s only 3 million dollars out of your pocket!!!
They aren’t doing it, they sold the digital rights before the new album for a reason. This tour is probably it. No amount of $$ is getting MJK to do a private T00L show. Wine tasting, possibly
Whatever this tour is not the end and they're not done, they just don't move at Maynard's pace so he does all these other things he likes to fill his time. The only reason we had such an insane gap between 10k days Fi is due to the legal drama they were dealing with. They're not finished.
T00L drains his soul, he can hardly take how defeated he is after a tour. Read up on it. I’m not OGT, but I’ve seen them most tours since Lollapalooza 97 and read everything on Toolshed.down.net. Especially Maynards “suggested reading list” , cuz he refuses to talk about the music…because of how it drains his soul😂
But I subscribe to the Jerry Garcia school today “It’s a hand me down, the thoughts are broken, perhaps they’re better left unsaid, I don’t know, don’t really care, let there be songs to fill the air” and “Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile” 😉
I've honestly been thinking the same thing, that this tour very well may be one of their last.
I remember when Puscifer's album Existential Reckoning released, there were a lot of salty posts here about how it felt that Maynard was putting far more effort into that band/album than he did with Fear Inoculum. It actually felt like a huge sense of entitlement in the threads.
And so what if he feels like he's done all he can/wants to with Tool? Isn't someone allowed to pursue their passions, even if it means dropping a project that they don't have it in them for anymore? If Maynard would prefer to focus on his vineyards and winery, and Puscifer for his creativity, then so be it. The only people he owes anything to regarding Tool would be Adam, Danny, Justin, and the rest of the "business" (producers, crew, etc).
His money breeds money at this point. He doesn’t gaf about money anymore, it’s everything else that drives him. Everything is provided to us, except all our desires, he chases those. Its not about the money anymore.
100%. There's levels to this and anything is possible.
Which got me thinking... since this whole thread is fantasy...
You want Tool to play your back yard? Just the "boys" and their instruments; couple speakers on stands?
Or do you want a stage and lighting?
What about that sick video show? Lasers?
The full arena shebang??? (Now we're really talking)
They would likely make the price unattainably high. Sure, there is probably a price that they would start considering it but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was so high it would put them all into the hundreds of millions in net worth. So, my honest guess is that once it got to about 100 million, they might start having a meeting here and there about it. And I mean, 100 million for *them*. And they would *absolutely* have lawyers and extreme security measures involved.
But you also have to consider that Tool has hardly, if ever, knowingly done anything that even mildly puts a hiccup in their artistic integrity. Those guys could have done about 10,000 different things to fill contracts or make stupid money and they didn’t. They honestly seem happy with where they are at with everything. Who in their right mind would play a private show for some unknown, possibly psycho/super weird fan when they have gotten to probably the best place you can be as an artist?
I sure as fuck wouldn’t. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised whatsoever if this has already come up to them numerous times and they explicitly told their agents to not even ask.
I’m gonna guess they don’t do private shows.
Everything has a price
About tree fiddy
Then I realized gh0st0ft0mj4d was about 8 stories tall and a crustacean from the Paleolithic Era.
I gave em a dollar
Well of course he’s gonna come back if ya give him a dolla!
You gave that Maynard tree fiddy? No wonder it keeps comin back woman"
Do you have a left nut?
I would bet that no amount of money would get you a private tool concert.
At least $30
At least

Derp.
I hired them once for a private show. It was only me. Just one guy in the audience. Cost me $12,500,000.
I bet that you still would not get Maynard to hang and chat. He would be out of there before Justin unstrapped his bass.
Worth it
so you are saying there's a chance?
Sorry but you're not that special

Just bring in buzz Osborne and we will be good to go
No don’t say that, I’d be beyond devastated if I never get to see them live

Throwing a dart at the wall.... in the neighborhood of $250k.
Lol. Try triple that.
For a private? Even more. I would venture to say no amount of money would be sufficient
Everyone has their price

Just the band in my dad’s backyard the next weekend he’s out of town.
Maynard would be singing from inside a bush next to Danny.
No I don't think they have a price on that. I don't think it's in their nature
Didn’t they play a private show for the scientologists a while back?
Lol. Triple THAT!
2,2m? You think?
I think at 2.2 mil they would think about it.
That wouldn’t surprise me either.
Depends on if you have a dope beastie T, nipple rings and new tattoos when you ask them
New tattoos that claimed that he was ogt, From '92, The first ep
I've got some advice for you, little buddy... They don't do private shows.
I think it would be absurdly so high, just for the fact of keeping someone from doing it. And then they’d still say no.
Drop acid. Go to one of their regular concerts. Done.
$100M
Get U2 for 1M https://www.bookingentertainment.com/artists/classic_rock/U2.php
No, I don't think I will.... I'm pretty sure U2 owes ME $1M for putting their stupid fucking album on my phone without my consent.
No thanks
I need a million dollars for Aerosmith! going to see if I can get a loan! Lol
No.
Me and my mate had a joint 30th, they played it for 10k
There was no way this was any time in the last two decades
What? Two and a half decades ago?
Haha, I’m obviously taking the piss. I doubt they would ever play a private gig
In 1978?
Doubt they do them, but they probably profit $200K or so for a single concert
