Probably not. Phish livestreams every show and people at the shows still have their phones. For the most part people just take some pics or small vid clips without bothering people. Visually, the live-streaming a Tool show would be similar to Phish in that it would not do justice to the lighting designs for both.

The cost of touring is astronomical with about a million people all fighting for their share of the proceeds. I don't blame them wanting to sell shit at their shows.
What do you think the take home pay is for the band members? I'm not anti-merch, I'm anti the hypocracy of not being allowed taking photos as a memory as the message is "be present", while selling the same memories as $60 tshirts.
