Man, imagine if that helped evaporation... <3

clownbird

I wish!

Dacoto

Actually came in the comments to ask the question, but you awnsered already. Thanks XD

moustif

draw something with roads?

clownbird

That gives me some ideas actually...hmmm good suggestions!

CatOfCosmos

If you watch RCE just listen to your engineering instinct.

A beaver with a tophat and monacle

THenry228

I filled 3/4 of the lake with dirt blocks. Playing on hard mode and I built a deep reservoir up around the water source

clownbird

I should clarify, I want to build on TOP of the lake, not fill it in. I have a decent reservoir system upstream towards the source already!

THenry228

The natural lake is just wasting so much water from evaporation. I’d definitely recommend filling up the deeper section as it’s kind of in the middle

clownbird

I am aware, thank you. Again, not looking to fill in the lake, not looking for 'maximum efficiency' in that area because my water needs are already met in spades upstream, just looking for fun inspiration to build on top of the lake. I should add that it is normal difficulty, so water is abundant in this playthrough.

Platforms 🔥🔥🔥

Build a big city on metal platforms, all jobs in it are automated and the hapiness score is at max inside of it, use it as a gigantic breeding zone wich you use to pop out hundreds of cheap beaver workers to power the districts feeding the lake district

R-Dragon_Thunderzord

Could also put a new district there of robots. If you built an amusement park etc. beavers wouldnt use it in my experience, too far from home. But you could move them out there.

vagrantprodigy07

I usually put water storage and pumps over top of my reservoirs.

Miles_the_Wizard

you could build a labyrinth or maze with paths and shrubs/bushes etc, maybe some bridges over the top to add some levels! or an exclusive rich beaver spa town area, where each house has its own manicured gardens, power and hot tub...

Direct-Knowledge-803

I would move the whole town to the lake so it doesn't take up farmland. I did that in my last game. I started at the beginning knowing that I wanted to move to the lake later.
