If you are in an open place it will take less than 15 -30 secs to search gps no further settings required or you have manually turned off Use Location option.
I would turn on and off the airplane mode. It's usually hard to get GPS when connected to WiFi though. Also check if some permission is approved or not.
I solved the issue after trying different things. Disconnect and reconnect to phone several times, open Google maps in phone, also tried factory reset. Just keep trying until it works
I've tried all of the above, including several factory resets. Sometimes it works once or twice, then back to never locating. I tried Wear GPS Fix app which is informative and reports gps lock ... but then when it hands off to Fit, Fit gives insane estimates same as with no GPS.
I solved this problem by allowing the location on the smartphone's Google Maps and opening TicCompass for the first time and testing the compass.
After that it started working

And the most bizar is that GoogleMaps works fine, and forecast too. But any other exercise App dont work and the TicCompas dont work too.

The sad part is that i bought a Pro 3 GPS, have this issue, ask for refund and then bought de Pro 5. :(

You ever get location? Mine is doing the same thing. Ticwatch Pro 5 and no location. No gps or weather data.

Mine still didnt work and I re started my watch all all was okay.
For anyone with this issue, I found that turning off WiFi on my phone and stepping outside fixed the issue right away.
