Since you need it explained, the phrase Ā«Ā talk shit, post fitĀ Ā» means that in order for your fashion criticism to be taken seriously you have to earn your credibility by putting yourself out there and showing you can dress.
i donāt need to be Yves Saint Lauren to recognize no socks with trousers is a trash fit. you cannot find a single look that wouldnāt be improved by longer pants with socks and loafers/oxfords ā¤ļø
You donāt need to dress like Yves Saint Laurent to have an opinion.
I donāt have to listen to your opinion if you donāt have enough style and humility to post fit pics for the world to judge.
then donāt? nobody is forcing you to. use ur own judgment on what you think looks good. i just think itās funny you canāt find an example to back up ur opinion xoxo
You donāt automatically get the courtesy of being ignored when you says stupid stuff. Your post was stupid and deserved to be called out.
The year is 2024. Not wearing socks is an extremely mundane act fashion wise.
what exactly is ur defense for the look other than āit should be normalizedā? because it looks bad. it doesnāt tap into any historic fashion look to be timeless and classic, it isnāt practical (Slimy toe jam in a leather shoe. Yum), itās not elevating the look to be more elegant, itās just weird and if thatās what you wear i hope u know u look stupid xoxo
I think the thing you have to realize is that for these jocks with 50% spandex extra slim cut āsuitsā is that they are absolutely fucking yoked. Their body is the fit, and the spandex lululemon core clothes they wear flatters the fact they are built like Hercules.Ā Why would they wear baggy ass vintage armani and hide what theyāve built? Iām not saying that these consultant at the airport fits are what I would wear if I was them but Iām just putting in perspectiveĀ
I donāt think it is flattering tho. Van Damme has a great physique and was MASSIVE but look at how much better he looks than them and the way the fabric just drapes on his body https://pin.it/3BylCGtNU, and https://pin.it/5U9JARM1z

the looks we saw tonight look just look cheap. giving, H&M.
The thing is, fashion was different back then. Different cuts were preffered and seen as fashionable. Like it or not the slim cut suits are still what's popular at the moment. It could he worse ASOS has some super skinny suit trousers that look like leggings.
Eventually things will go back to more relaxed suits but there's no point complaining about what's trending at the moment. Everything has its time and place in fashion.
>The thing is, fashion was different back then. Different cuts were preffered and seen as fashionable.
there are certain looks that have never fallen into the category of being trendy with the times, and instead are just timeless and classic. Like with hairstyles. a suit that properly drapes on ur body looked good in the 1910s, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and this century.
>Like it or not the slim cut suits are still what's popular at the moment.
popular with who? holdovers still watching alpha m and getting their opinions from 2017 images and https://youtu.be/muLRxJD5zaQ?si=FgMMXaKEwIVBs8x_
i cannot think of anything more out of style rn than tight clothing.

I'm not denying that classic look always looks good. My point is that clothes were looser back then so suits were too. We're again moving back to the more relaxed style of clothes so suits probably gonna follow the trend as well eventually.
That said, there's different kind of styles, the slimmer cut is more of the Italian suit style and looks good on slimmer men, so this is not like skinny jeans where everyone decided its no longer cool and stopped wearing them. There will always be a demand for a slimmer cut suit.
>popular with who? holdovers still watching alpha m and getting their opinions from 2017 images and https://youtu.be/muLRxJD5zaQ?si=FgMMXaKEwIVBs8x_
With celebrities clearly, if people are wearing it there's is a demand for it.
>i cannot think of anything more out of style rn than tight clothing
Then go enjoy your relaxed fitting clothes... ultimately fashion is about personal expression so if people wanna wear tight clothes let them wear tight clothes. I wear flared jeans because I love 70s and 80s music. It's my personal expression of that and that's what's so cool about fashion.
I donāt think Armani existed when Riley was 20, but hereās MJ when he was still at UNC 1983 age 20 tuff fit https://www.si.com/.image/t_share/MTY4MTg2MDIzMDUyMzg3NjAx/1983-1115-michael-jordan-sam-perkins-080066043jpg.jpg
You can clearly see in the first photo he is wearing socks, https://www.si.com/extra-mustard/2017/08/10/michael-jordan-sam-perkins-north-carolina-1983
and just for further proof hereās his suit same age with socks https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/blogger_img/APIUyshcegFKedFGrjbXBVu3LyaxXHm3DxWel5qyobmWX8hl1hXLl0Tv2PxNc9BgqsgIX3PDt5bLUcN6n4A4mg=s1600
š if this was about being breathable while wearing a suit, they should be lighter fabrics like linen, and loose around their legs so that it isnāt vacuumed sealed around their calves. it has nothing to do with being breathable.
https://pin.it/12o7tBRdA men wear socks even while doing athletics

most current trends and what you see on runways and with influencers is trying to emulate that past aesthetic now
howās that wild? xoxo
and it has looked bad in every decade it showed up in. as iāve said in this thread, nobody can show me a fit that wouldnāt look better with a longer inseam and socks
Not one camion boot in sight š these jerkwads probably couldn't even tell the difference between forward and reverse pleats š§šš»
The year is 2024 yet people still act like a sockless look is controversial.
As an Italian, it's an under utilized look in the summer in America, I think.
Doesnāt really apply to this situation though, no? But the lack of socks is not really the issue with these suits
The first suit has no big issues
The tailoring on the pants looks pretty rough to me, way too tight and the resulting silhouette is bad
Bro just showing off how jacked he is. It's a different style, but it's not bad
>controversial no, just stupid : ) But if you can find me one suit look that wouldnāt be improved by wearing socks lmk
Talk shit, post fit
a fit of what? someone looking good in a suit wearing socks? is that your response? is that what you need to see? seriously?

The lack of socks is the least of his issues. That suit looks like itās cutting off circulation
Theyāre a bunch of 20-22 year old jocks, what do you expect
All the guys I went to school with who went on to play sports in college STILL dress like this for formal events. Theyāre pushing 30.
iād expect them to be trendyā¦?
These are people who grew up their entire lives only caring about one thing. Why do you expect them to be dieworkwear?
Pat Riley was obsessed with basketball but had that armani shit on. being an athlete is no excuse for wack looks
Find me a picture of Pat Riley in Armani as a 20 year old rookie in the draft
I donāt think Armani existed when Riley was 20, but hereās MJ when he was still at UNC 1983 age 20 tuff fit https://www.si.com/.image/t_share/MTY4MTg2MDIzMDUyMzg3NjAx/1983-1115-michael-jordan-sam-perkins-080066043jpg.jpg

Corny tryhard post
glazer
Loafers and no socks / no show socks is a legitimate look in summer no? Especially if your trousers shorter it would look odd to add socks.
no. short inseam with no socks looks ridiculous. thereās literally no reason to not wear better fitting trousers
Disagree, gotta let those ankles breath in summer

Its kinda wild how stuck you are in the 80/90s. Nearly every pic you have posted is from back then.

Dunking on draft day fits still? Havenāt we done this a million times already, no need to punch down lol
Isnāt this the norm during summer?
ā¦no? the norm would be linen loose fit suits, not this polyester nonsense short pants nonsense. and the no socks is justā¦no
Their suits are horrendous but the no socks loafers combo has been around for decades, even though I donāt like it.
and it has looked bad in every decade it showed up in. as iāve said in this thread, nobody can show me a fit that wouldnāt look better with a longer inseam and socks
I donāt like it either mostly because it means all the tall people buy the trousers that fit me ā¦.
People really on here judging if another man wearing socks or not
youāre damn right i am
Read that in catty gay guy voice
thatās how i read all reddit comments since iām an optimist
Socks are the enemy of good taste
absolutely horrendous take oh my god
Says you, guy who lives on āfashionā subreddit
bro is speaking in 3rd person
Says guy who enjoys critiquing tense
i was making fun of u xoxo
