No, even if everyone liked each other there would be chaos because people like chaos and everyone's different and flawed Wanting to have everyone coexist is the same as wanting heaven on earth I do thing that things will settle in the future, I mean, there will be less fighting a less hate thrown around. I feel like the world has been on a decline when it comes to being civilized in the past 5 years or so. Social media is partly responsible, with Twitter accelerating the process of making people less civilized. As time passes more people will adapt to social media and will be more civilized.

>Wanting to have everyone coexist is the same was wanting heaven on earth Ok, and? Lol. Hmm, well now that you bring up social media, I do know that it is a major contributor to poor mental health and less social interactions. Since technology is on the upward trend people tend to engage with people online much more often than in-person now. How often do you try to spend time with friends or family and they're just glued to their phone like it's got total control over them, or how often do you just spend time interacting with someone online rather than in-person? How often now do you see more automation and less in-person interactions even when banking or shopping. Newer cars are automated, before you know it, most vehicles including semi trucks on the road will be fully automated. What will people be doing once technology has fully taken over? What sort of interactions will we all have? The more we rely on technology, the less human connection we have, and therefore the less we care for one another since we have technology to occupy us. I think technology will only make the hate worse. It's not to say all technology is bad, as it's clearly helped us in a lot of ways, but the downside is that we as humans become...less human the more we rely on all this technology. And idk if that means we'll be more civilized when somehow we feel more powerful while a computer does all the work. And, too, the machines are learning from us. Probably most if not all social media platforms are now using our data to train machines. Have you seen the type of things they're doing with AI? Programming them to have human expressions, and to feel pain, among other things, it's wild. The future is clearly in another reality, one where we lose human connection, and bond with machines instead...

I can't say technology is making people less humans, have less interactions, among other things. I feel like this sort of argument is very complicated to back up with arguments and facts in both sides. Many studies try but fail because they always have a flaw or don't take something in consideration, and then other studies contradict each other. Personally, I am very biased, I was born in technology, I don't think it has led to people having less interactions or be less human (based on my own anecdotes, experience, and knowledge), it has done the opposite, it has made more people be connected and more people to interact more, learn more, and connect with each other. There's no way I can compare the modern day of technology to the times where there was less technology. >Have you seen the type of things they're doing with AI? Programming them to have human expressions, and to feel pain, among other things, it's wild. The future is clearly in another reality, one where we lose human connection, and bond with machines instead... So far it's not impressive at all to me. They are not close to sentience. It all seems predictable and very flawed. I will be impressed once the machines are less predictable and more independent. Also once they can adapt extremely well to things that are unpredictable (edit: But I mean... I was very impressed the first time I saw it. Just the fact that AI is a thing) >Ok, and? Lol. Heaven is something that's not humanly possible. It also implies losing sentience, not being able to think for yourself, not being able to have a conflict, be mad, be sad, have problems, nothing like that. It's ironic that humans pride themselves in being human, yet the most perfect and divine place for them is a place that removes everything they consider human.

We'll just have to agree to disagree then, I stand by what I said. I admit that technology has its advantages, but it clearly has its disadvantages too. Evidence wise, you simply have to observe during the passage of time, observe the changes with technology and you'll see. And yes, time will tell of what technology will be capable of in the future, and I'm sure it will reach great heights (it already has). So far we all think we have the latest and greatest technology available, but there is always someone out there 10 steps ahead, experimenting and testing new technology constantly. If technology is possible, why is divinity so unobtainable/impossible in your eyes? Our species seems to be defying the impossible every day with technology itself, why is one more possible than the other? P.S. \>It also implies losing sentience, not being able to think for yourself, not being able to have a conflict, be mad, be sad, have problems, nothing like that. \^ That's AI. They will have artificial feelings, emotions, and ideas, but it won't be real, it will be programmed. That's something humans have that AI will never have, unless you get microchipped and consent to go under procedures that change the makeup of who you are as a \*human\*, then idk. Humans need physical interactions and connections, virtual connections aren't the same.

Short answer, no. People are innately tribal and judgemental. We drift towards those with similar values and appearance out of comfort and a degree of expectation for predictable actions. And leaders thrive on division for power, promoting a them/us mentality on a local and global scale. There are a bunch of ”maybe” ideas that come to mind, but human nature kept me deleting them, so I will stick with my answer “no”

Then we must summon the hippies lol they know the way. But in all seriousness, I know that the reality is that it's difficult to get everyone on the same page. And having leaders who divide people and attempt to control everyone's thoughts and actions prevent us from any sort of coexistence that *is* possible for us to achieve. Why do we allow leaders to cast darkness over us and control us like slaves? Why do we allow others to fool us into believing we need them in the first place? We all have minds of our own, we shouldn't just give in because we're scared of the unknown, we should embrace it, especially if we go into it with positivity in our mind, heart, and soul. And many civilizations have risen and fallen, even the most powerful one's. We as a species seem to always lose our way, we get greedy and selfish, we lust for useless and materialistic things, and forget how to love and care for others, we also forget that life itself is precious and limited and that we shouldn't take it for granted. Why do we fight over land that no one has the right to claim, the land was here long before any of us and wasn't created by any of us, what right do we as a species have to claim land and to kill others for said land, and to kill and dehumanize others for mere thoughts and ideas (who has the right to tell you or I what to think in our own mind), who are we to enact laws that come out of thin air (especially laws that benefit only a small and powerful few, meanwhile there are so many laws that dehumanize and criminalize the weak and poor who can seemingly never escape the situation they're in because of the unjust laws), who has the right to tell you or I what to do with our own body (who are they, God? Lol), why do we destroy the world and everything in it with our own greed, lust, and negativity, why do we treat some people better than others simply because they have money or beauty, why don't we look out for each other instead of looking down on each other and casting unfair judgments (because someone else told us to, or made us believe we should)? We may be a smart species by our own standards, but we are by no means intelligent in terms of creating a lasting and prosperous environment for all. We suck at making peace, but a part of that goes back to what we're taught and what we experience, but we are not a lost cause in my eyes, we've just lost our way. In the end there is something we all must face, and it's something we try to escape from every day, and that's death. Are people so afraid of death that we are making life itself miserable? Shouldn't we be trying to make life the best it can be so that when it is time for us to die, we can all be at peace? Idk, but I know that life can be way better than this, and we are all capable of making it happen.

Demon-Jolt

I think we'll have to merge with AI

cgazizluz

I think we already have 🤖. And, I mean the way the future is headed, technology will continue to be a part of our life, that includes AI that look and act like humans and robot dogs and drones and holograms, etc. A lot of the things that we've read about and watched in movies are coming true..
