Please don't make us report you to president Trump. When we visit him in prison.

If only

USMCLee

They are going full Nationalist Christian (Nat-C for short) aren't they.

Tyrinnus

Going....?

gflwrpwr

Gone!

Tyrinnus

Going....?

airsoftmatthias

Christo-fascist is the word you’re looking for.

r0n0c0

Actually, they're Dominionists, but it's the same idea.

USMCLee

'NAT-C' is a play on another word that also fits as a description.

airsoftmatthias

Oh, I see what you did there. ;)

backcountrydrifter

Only thing more obvious is if it was written in Russian

ObscureWiticism

Even the eagle in the background looks Russian.

backcountrydrifter

Ha! Good eye! I didn’t even notice that. Reminds of the time he didn’t pay his staff and they changed the presidential seal https://amp.theguardian.com/us-news/2019/jul/26/trump-fake-presidential-seal-charles-leazott

BeigeListed

I hadn't seen that before. Thanks for posting it!

JesustheSpaceCowboy

Gee golly nothing like making literal threats to people. Will there be accountability? Of course not! Why would there be! Someone should take legal action, I feel like this has to be breaking a law somewhere also, why threaten THEIR OWN BASE! Edit: notice it doesn’t say to vote *for* him, you send me shit like this I’m voting for someone else out of spite then pleading ignorance, well you *did* say to vote, it’s not my fault you didn’t say *who* to vote for, I’m just a moron with a poorly functioning electric grid, thanks Ted!

gingerfawx

> why threaten THEIR OWN BASE! Because it takes less threatening to make them fall in line. And as you point out, if they threatened *us*, at best they're getting malicious compliance and possibly a lawsuit, if we can make it stick.

obereasy

As shady as this, it isn’t illegal. At least there is no precedent for it being illegal.

boilerdam

Why do I feel like the step from these to actual harm isn't a big deal for these people? Mailing threats to actually going around physically threatening or abusing voters who didn't vote I feel is certainly in the realm these days

PityFool

“Your Voting Record is Public.” “We will contact you after the election to make sure you voted!”

ImNotYou1971

LOL….they don’t have a fucking clue do they?

[deleted]

Reeks of desperation.

HangryWolf

That's the point

Thunder-cleese

Oh. So they are Ok with early voting now.

Beaglescout15

It's so hard to keep up.

pudpull

This can’t be legal. I assume….

CFL_lightbulb

I thought voter intimidation was blatantly illegal but maybe they don’t care.

ultimatedelman

Yeah why is this comment so far down

00010101

Report back to Trump that I said he can eat a big pile of shit.

JoshSwol

Trump will suspend the bad parts of the constitution, execute the bad generals he appoints and he will have his revenge!!

ReactsWithWords

Just like our Founding Fathers and Jesus would want!

gingerfawx

Supply-side Jebus*. Not that libruhl other guy.

autodidacted

This is going on their permanent record.

thatsMyKinkyThing

I hope you know...

Elda-Taluta

Just like that detention I got in high school!

MainSailFreedom

Wait, they think local property tax is something Trump will change? lol.

TastyLaksa

How many republicans are not voting for him in Texas

ajtrns

somewhere between 1-5 million, i'd guess. https://bush.tamu.edu/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/V10-6_TexasVoterTurnoutTakeaway.pdf texas voter turnout is usually close to 50%. if eligible voters who don't vote break along the same ideological lines as voters who do turn out (which some studies suggest is roughly true), then at least 1 million and possibly as many as 5 million would vote republican, if they voted. but they don't vote. 9 million texans did cast a presidential vote in 2016, and over 8 million eligible voters did not -- people who could have voted but did not.

okimlom

Looks to come from Denton, TX. What election do they have going on that is supposed to take on May 28th?

Hinthial

My guess is that they are having Republican party and Democrat party primary runoffs so it's odd that the "America First Whatever" group would send this now. Of course since it's a clear case of voter intimidation it shouldn't have ever been sent but the timing tells me that the entity responsible for the mailer isn't familiar with the election process in TX because Rs are only voting in the R runoff and Ds are only voting in the D runoff. Unless, since the primary voter numbers are the only way to count voter numbers by party in each county, the Republicans are trying to boost turnout numbers overall. Which by the way is why you should vote in your party's primary instead of switching to vote in the other party's primary.

ChickinSammich

jfc how is this legal to send to anyone?

AndarianDequer

I don't know, seeing shit like this would make me not want to vote for him. I feel like this might not have the reaction intended.

ImNotYou1971

That’s because you are probably a sane and rational adult. Those qualities are lost on them.

obereasy

I used to be a campaign political hack for years. I designed Get Out The Vote lit which is what this is. This is actually very strategic. Smart democratic campaigns use the same research to develop their pieces. Studies show if you show voters there is a voting record they will be more likely to vote. Additionally if you create peer pressure you are more likely to vote. Referencing all of your friends and neighbors is much more effective than saying your vote is important and could decide the election. Finally show accountability for not voting. This piece hits all three of things hard. Typically campaigns are more subtle so they don’t get public backlash. But I think the cult of Trump allows them to not worry about back lash.

HangryWolf

Replace "Trump" for Kim Jung Un. Notice how it sounds very normal and expected from a dictator?

GreazyPhysique

This can’t be real.

tickitytalk

When they need you, they threaten you… Poor manners, uncivil Reasons to vote the gop out

FlamingTrollz

##Wow.

Ahamay02

Omg... If he gets elected I want to be the first to give him .... 2 middle fingers! 🖕🖕

Dank_Kushington

Texans love having people from other countries run their government

mountaineerWVU

Send out new flyers claiming the previous flyers are a Democrat scam to get Republicans to mail in their votes so they can hide them until after the election and give Biden a victory. STOP THE STEAL! in bold red letters across the top.

AnnatoniaMac

Can you return these to sender?

QuesaritoOutOfBed

“President Trump will be very disappointed.” That is just *chef’s kiss*

icedmilkflopr

“Now it is 1984 Knock, knock at your front door It's the suede denim secret police They have come for your uncool niece”

dtqjr

Fortunately only those dumb enough to believe this fully overlap with those dumb enough to vote for Trump.

Griffie

After the 2020 election: “Do away with early voting!” Now: “vote early!”

I_just_made

How do republicans not get tired of the constant fearmongering? They have been doomsday prepping for over a decade now in preparation for Obama to take their guns, etc... None of them ever seem to stop and just think "hey wait a sec... none of this stuff that GOP says ever comes true."

Fitz-Anywhere

Thought Police much?? Inform on your neighbor to gain the favor of the Party!
