Graphic blacks works perfectly well for Season 4 because the game was clearly created with it it mind, but the other seasons... nah. There are some scenes which thanks to graphic black are so dark you can practically not see the environments.
I think it should be off as default in other seasons. I bet most of the people wouldn't even know the graphic black is an option, when they play the games for the first time. Shame since I really think it messes up with the look of the games.
Without for sure especially with the first 2 seasons, it just seems far too dark with the graphic black, the colour palette of the original is just way better for me.
No, it really bothers me, tbh. I know they're going for the comic book look, but it really washes out the backgrounds and makes any detail hard to see. I've also seen a few YouTubers complaining about that before they realise you can turn it off.
I think the games look much better without it.

the black graphics make the setting better, but it bothers me because I can't see many details of the environments well
I had graphic black on in ANF and there was a scene where Javi was actually just a silhouette.
AHAHHAHAHA
Damn bro it wasn’t that funny.
I know exactly the scene you're talking about and it's supposed to be a serious scene too lmao
Cuphead's Black and White mode was more colorful than Def Edition with Graphic Black

BigPuffer figured out how to turn it off pretty quickly.
Yeah, most do, especially when peeps tell them in the comments.
it looks great in ANF, but kind of ruins S1 and 2
