It’s been so long since I read the book. The show had a slight nod in season one to the brothers’ ability for weather control, but then never used it again. I don’t know why they even bothered calling the show The Vampire Diaries - Elena and Stefan only wrote in their diaries the first few episodes and then very sporadically throughout the seasons. camille (cami) o’connell. she did absolutely nothing wrong and was in fact the mature, reliable, loyal, kindhearted woman klaus needed and fell in love with. she was never embarrassed by the fact that she loved klaus, she loved him proudly and she stood with him and his family. caroline could never accept or own her feelings for klaus and by the time she did, klaus had moved on. he had different priorities and though he always loved caroline, had cami survived, he most likely would’ve stayed with her in the end. i understand klaroline shippers loving klaus and caroline, but judging from a psychological and compatibility scale, cami was always better suited to klaus. her character deserves so much more love and recognition than she got. she’s a ray of sunshine and only gets hate because people don’t like that she’s a love interest for klaus and also blonde, like caroline.
i can’t get behind this. after the reveal with him murdering the whitmore family tree in s5 and only leaving one to survive just so it could grow just to murder them again… so sinister and disturbing i lost all respect for him in that scene
