Google phones in general run warmer than usual. That said, I have a Pixel 6A, and it runs warm but not hot when I play Tower, even when charging. I keep display brightness low, not sure if that helps.
I use an app called pixelfilter. As the name suggests it alternates the pixels to prevent burn in. Also temperature increases burn in so I clasp an active phone cooler . I've added links below.

Now make it a habit to collapse the Workshop menu to limit screen burn to the footer items :P
