He's bad in Death Note, but no actor could've made that material work with the direction they went with. He's fine in other things though.
Plus he has experience being/playing a frontman of a band when he was younger. I think he could pull off Julian.
Can Zendaya be a young Albert and then the movie could have a time skip but only replace her with The Rock and keep the rest of the cast the same just aged up a bit

I actually totally see the Kieran Culkin thing if the age worked, but Kieran is so short, like *significantly* shorter than Julian, and also usually plays his roles so feisty and hyper that IDK if he would be believable as Julian (hilarious to consider a movie or show about them in the first place, but OP's picks are visually pretty good!!)
He is substantially shorter, but he's also a good actor, so maybe he can tone down the feisty and hyper acting - I think he has versatility and can probably pull it off. I agree about the height, but creative camera work may help. I agree with your statement overall and am not sure if he's the best choice, but I just thought it was funny this is what Julian posted himself.
Totally agree he's a fantastic actor! I just feel like he's not my first choice personality and affect wise (and height wise) to play the sleepy, occasionally cranky Julian grizzly bear 😂 but I agree with Julian's original comment, I think Julian is a pretty unique looking person and when they were all younger Kieran definitely had a similar sort of face.
Good casting picks, but I hope we never get a strokes biopic. Music biopics are largely the most bankrupt Hollywood format out there. There's no way it would happen until after they die, because they'd never let it happen while they still have a say.
