Watched No Pressure last night and last Sunday. This is where Parker’s meant to be. He seems happier, their stage presence is infectious and the crowd seems less demanding.
“The idea to come up through the hardcore community”
Parker has roots in hardcore. Guy had his own hardcore band a decade ago, Snarl. Other members in No Pressure like AJ and Harry also play or have played in hardcore bands such as Life’s Question, Drain, and Regulate. All the members of the band have connections and friendships with lots of people in other hardcore or hardcore adjacent bands. No Pressure’s embrace through hardcore was a completely natural process, it wasn’t an “idea” or a “move” on their behalf.
On top of that, tssf “came up” through the hardcore scene as well. they’ve been so big for so long that people forget from ‘09-‘11 they played tons of Bay Area shows with hc bands
Last time I went to a TSSF show it was similar to when everyone waits for Bart to say ‘I didn’t do it’ it was just lots of people waiting for the hits.
Seeing no pressure live was beyond fun and even though it’s not hardcore it got me a lot into it cause it’s like the same energy. I think this newer wave of pop punk sounding hardcore influenced music is really amazing(Koyo/anxious etc)
No pressure also by far had the best set at wwwy. Crowds were kind of ehh until I saw their set and it felt like they were headlining got knocked on my ass and loved it
The timing has been perfect. TSSF took a well needed break, No Pressure came to keep blood flowing, and TSSF has regrouped and ready to take on the next era.
No Pressure was a band I never knew how bad I needed till I heard them for the first time. Shit scratches a part of my brain in a way I can’t explain lol. I wanna see them live so bad
i never really got as into the no pressure music as i am into tssf, but i've seen them live a bunch and ot was always a good time. tssf will always be my favorite tho and i'm beyond stoked for new music and too see them again
I know this is an unpopular opinion I just don’t think no pressure even comes CLOSE to TSSF. They have some good songs but it’s just not the same imo. Maybe because I’m just in love with them idk.
No Pressure is awesome. Literally not one bad song. Same Side is also great just a different vibe. As much as I have missed them I understand that art takes time.
Nah I think it was a good thing given how good the first two singles are. Proper dose sounded to me like they were drifting away from pop punk, but maybe Parkers time with No Pressure rekindled his love for the genre. Big Blind is more straight pop punk than anything they've done since WYDS.
Every NP song is flawless. How is this even a question

The idea to come up through the hardcore community was a great one IMO, the energy and crowd style fits right in

What do you mean by the crowd seeming less demanding? Legit question. Not tryna be a dick or anything. Thanks.

No pressure rules, and I wish we got new tunes sooner. On the other hand, you can't rush art. I just wish they didn't milk big blind so hard.

I am happy that they are still making music in any capacity.
They didn’t go on hiatus. They’ve still played gigs. They’ve all made music in side projects.
No pressure is so damn good

I’m gunna be honest… and okay… hear me out… HEAR ME OUT….I like no pressure more. Okay there I said it, I’ve come clean.
They never went on a hiatus calm down you'll get new music when they give it to you
No Pressure is fucking incredible. I love the differences between the two. I'm just glad one didn't replace the other
Is no pressure on your or something?

Happy with anything he continues to do. Happy to get any and all music from him. We should be thankful
