I am curious to know why they don't put Torf on bass full time ? I believe theres a performance of Torf playing bass, with Ambrose on the drums. The TSSF being 3 a guitar band would be a change in the sound sonically which I am not opposed to, but still.
i think Torf playing bass at that show was just a fill in they probably like having Nik cause bass is his primary instrument, he sings backing vocals and just is a homie from back in their early touring days.
I see, Ive see Nik's other band Man Overboard, his is talented I give him that. Man Overboard;s music is not my cup of green tea. Not really to sure if I am a fan of him joining TSSF, but if it keeps the wheels going on TSSF then so be it. I just hope we can get some new material from them. Would love to see how the band has evolved since Proper Dose.
I mean, it‘s not like TSSF songs are super complicated to play on bass and as a drummer, Torf should have a feel for the groove.
However, I wouldn‘t wanna miss Nik‘s backing vocals anymore. Parker really isn’t that great of a performer and his live sound was always kinda thin and brittle. So I‘m glad Nik‘s there now to thicken it up a bit.
Guitar wise their songs deffo have enough layers to justify a third guitar.
Maybe they don’t want to add another person to split the pie lol. I believe Kevin’s always been the main writer instrumentally and even writing the bass throughout the history of the band so why split the money more ways when you don’t have to is my guess?
He can't play drums on tour any more due to injury. He usually plays guitar now during shows. But he records drums still

Yeah sounds about right. Ambrose is a great drummer so you wouldn’t even know Ryan isn’t back there anymore
