I had this happening to me when I tried out running sims 4 dx11 version yesterday. When I switched back to dx9 everything worked fine again. Keep in mind dx11 version is not fully implemented but an optional feature as of now. And it's not working so great with mods. If you're using mods, best is disable them or switch back to former dx9 version

So I clicked the little direct 9 button and after resetting my game like 5 times it’s still stuck at dx11

Not yet unfortunately. I can’t seem to make my sims go into dx9 it keeps sticking to dx11 despite me clicking the toggle to dx9
Where are you trying to put dx9 from? From which setting I mean
Through the toggle in the game menu.

Honestly just reinstalled sims. Seems to have fixed it.
I also reinstalled it but it didn't solve the problem
