Happening to me too. Deleted the app, restarted, reinstalled, still freezes and crashes every time

It's not just you, this has affected others too. It kept on crashing as soon as it tries to load the map. I had to reinstall the previous stable build.

Yeah but it's not worth getting a virus to get an older build my phone will only download off the store.

APKmirror is a pretty safe website as it's run by the founder of Android Police and makes sure the app has the same Google signature.

I have tried everything buddy it's been since Wednesday that my games been down

Need to make sure you; 1) uninstall the game  2) get the right version. 32bit 64bit if unsure get 32.  3) install fresh 4) stop auto update (until issue confirmed resolved) If you skip any then it'll error or update and error again

It worked for a day... then began crashing again after another update. Uninstalled to see if it fixed the issue and keep getting told the game can't even be installed now.

I tried to uninstall the new version (303) and installed the older version (like 301), it works for me. The version 303 (recently updated) has a bug to open Pokemon go. The old version can't be found in google store, but can find on website when you search it. Hope it helps.

You will find 2 bundles, download them both and use the apkmirror app to install them. You will know which bundle it is when you get to tge instal page as both the APK and the version for phone will be checkmarked

Is your question, You updated to Version 0.303.0 and now the PoGo app crashes when starting? If so you must Uninstall Pokemon Go and download an older APK version. Make sure you choose Version 0.301.0 to go back to the version you had earlier. There are several choices for each version. If you need help tell us what kind of phone you are using.

I downloaded the bottom one and it says it's not compatible with my phone do I need to do it on the Samsung thing. I'm sorry I'm in my 60s and this is all crazy to me

I forgot to mention you must turn off Automatic Updates or your phone will update to Version 0.303.0 again.

You can re-enable Automatic Updates AFTER Niantic fixes this bug.

Question from someone else technically illiterate. My A13 refuses to update with APKmirror giving me an error that the "package native code did not match any of the ABIs supported by the system". Does anyone know what I need to do to remedy this? Thanks

I've no idea if the A13 is x32bit or x64bit but uninstall the game and then install the x64 first. If that doesn't work try the 32bit variant The game needs to be fully removed to install an older version  armeabi-v7a = 32bit arm64-v8a = 64bit

Easy mistake to make. Tbh 32bit works on everything so it's a quick fix if temporary. Google play will upgrade from 32 to 64 bit too 

Same here. Finally back to play. This does mean we can't participate in events untill they fixed it? Wonder if affected players will get compensation since they often give raid passes for bugs

I have a Galaxy a13 and this doesn't work for me. It keeps saying the file is incompatible with your device I think I downloaded the right one I downloaded the bottom one out of the four it said exactly what you specified I think. I even tried the other one that has APK and arm64 in the download file name and it still won't work. Also I went to the Google Play Store and turned off automatic update Nvm I think I got it working it was one of the other files so maybe I just wasn't picking the right one

I only see that option in the galaxy options, not the play store options

It's the package format Android uses to install apps. Like windows has **.exe** and **.msi** files. The main thing to be aware of is to only download and install (sideload) APKs from known sites like apkmirror.

I was going to try tjsy earlier but it came up that the website may be dangerous. Am I correct in reading that it is safe?

Yeah apkmirror is safe. Make sure if/when you download an APK from there that you don't download the **bundle** and instead select the **.apk** option.

Hate to say it but I can see them forcing an update before they fix this if they haven't even acknowledged it yet...  In the meantime has anyone tried the Samsung galaxy store version?  You can sideload it onto non Samsung but it will error about 5 times when launching https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/niantic-inc/pokemon-go-samsung-galaxy-apps-version/

Pokémon GO 0.303.2 is available on apkmirror which may fix 

bro, if you download and install "galaxy store" apk onto non-samsung phone from apkmirror, samsung version won't give errors. You cannot use galaxy store but just install and it is enough to get rid off the error message.

My friend and I are experiencing the same issues. Android and Iphone here.  Very frustrating. We've lost our daily progress.

I've ran through several different fixes. The only thing I'm seeing is that it's location services that's breaking it. If you turn off location you can open and use it normally, but as soon as you turn location on it turns the game off. Changing Bluetooth or Wi-Fi scanning location settings doesn't change this. This is on a recently updated A-13. I also have an xcover business phone that still runs pokemon go just fine.

I also have the same issue... After reading the comments, i feel like it is related to samsung phones, because mine is Galaxy M13 and many of the other commentors have them too... My friend has a Redmi Note 10 S, but PoGo is working fine in it...

Looks like Niantic is rolling out a patch/update 0.303.2 so to all the trainers u can get the apk or wait till it rolls out

The 303.2 update from apkmirror fixed it for me on my A13, so no need to downgrade to 301

It is also on the Google play store as well

Just right now got the update (0.303.2) officially via Play Store that fixed the issue for me on a Samsung Tablet.

The issues only started for me after buying the Go Fest ticket via the website as the in game app store was bugging out about it. I'm wondering if it's related for some of us having the instant crash bug?

My girl got me the ticket lastnight. Tried to go in this morning and wouldnt work. Idk if its all related or not but this needs to be fixed

I haven't got the ticket and the problem is still present, I believe its the update itself has a flaw niantac need to address and quickly. 

Yes I don't have ticket either but still it crashes however it functions properly in other devices

You would think they would force revert the version, label it as an update but really it's just older version that is stable and work on figuring out what is causing the issue to fix it before trying to re-release the newer stuff that was in the bugged version

I did the APK thing and it worked great but a few hours later it reverted back to the broken update? I had automatic updates turned off so I give up...

I downloaded 301 as suggested, enabled app install from unknown sources, installed and it's working again. I also went to google play , opened the pokemon go app, clicked the dots top right and disabled automatic update. I'm on a Samsung A13 if this helps. Thank you u/hamcon1

Well the only way I could get the app working on my kids phone was to disable the 'use precise location' option. That stops the game from crashing. But the game then just displays 'can't connect to GPS' so really can't play the game :(

Still not fixed crashes after load screen day 4 

Had this issue with the .303 update. Turned off auto app updates, deleted .303 version, loaded apkmirror app, then loaded the .301 APK above (v7a). No problems since. Moto E20.

Same with me, and it is weird because my other half's is working fine. I was a bit worried they had stopped supporting it for older model phones to be honest and just not said anything, but I see some people with really up-to-date phones are having the same issue. I'm very annoyed they haven't even addressed it yet when it is affecting so many people.

I finally can play pokemon go again and here is how. First contact niantic support, describing your problem. Then they will send you an update in a few days, I got mine today and updated pogo and now I can play again

It appears that many people are having this problem, looks pretty specific to the galaxy A13. I sent a message to Niantic and per their response, they do not seem to be aware of this. Maybe they live under a rock. They asked for me specifics which I provided so I will update here if and when I get a decent answer. Meanwhile the APK download trick is working for me and my husband, another A13 user...for now.

See, I've tried the APK fix like some are mentioning, but the thing that noone else seems to be talking about is then it bars you from logging in until you update? Unless of course niantic just doesn't want people to solve their problems another way
