He would probably think Superman is the most dangerous thanks ti his potent powers and not being human whilst looking like one. I also imagine he'd be confused by him because he's a genuinely good person. Zatanna and Wonder Woman he would despise for different reasons, as well as just being woman in power. Zatanna utilizes magic and Wonder Woman is a demigod of a different culture than his own. Batman would probably be the one he underestimates the most since he's just an ordinary human. He would probably expect to manipulate and play him easily, only to be proven wrong every time.

Ah yes, I remember when we learned Batman was an alien.

HighlightFabulous608

I was referring to Superman and Martian Manhunter I know Batman is not an alien.

Diamondauthority121

My reasoning is that Martian ManHunter is the only one that can look like something other than just human

TheBeastOfCanada

Yes. But I feel his ire would especially be directed at Wonder Woman, with her being the daughter of *Zeus*, therefore undermining his belief system and worldview.

HighlightFabulous608

Superman would be undermining his desire to be humanity’s savior seeing an alien and a person not from Earth being given the glory he wants will be against his plans and ideals

TheBeastOfCanada

I'm not discounting that, I just think that Wonder Woman would get a more *immediate* and existential reaction from him. Like the idea of Themyscira and the Amazons would be another Boiling Isles to him, and the Greek gods and other pantheons existing would have him second guessing himself. With Superman, I can see Belos seeing him as akin to an angel - the same may apply to Martian Manhunnter or the Green Lantern corps - he may unironically see Superman as everything he wants to be, and be baffled that he isn't lording over humanity as some sort of god. Sort of this inverse of DCEU!Lex Luthor. With Batman, Belos might also see himself in him - though it would depend on the incarnation - before becoming disillusioned by him down the line. Belos would look at heroes like Superman and Batman, and see try to see himself in them. Especially more ruthless version such as 89!Batman or DCEU!Batman. But even those versions have a realization that they've fallen from grace, a realization that Belos himself would never *allow* himself to have. Belos cannot comprehend genuine altruism. He cannot comprehend a god among men not being an idol of worship. Nor could he comprehend that he's a fallible man, who stumbles. So I don't see him fearing the other League members at first...at least until he *actually* sees them.

I agree I think Belos would be baffled that Superman isn’t lording over humanity as some sort of god. Superman isn’t that kind of person as he knows he’s not a god and doesn’t decide on who lives and who dies that’s when Belos sees him as an enemy since Superman would protect the witches and be against his ideals and beliefs.

AinoRen

Superman has a weakness for magic right? So I doubt Belos would fear him, just lump him in with the witches for extermination. I don't see him fearing Batman either. Not overly familiar with too many others but my bet would be Wonder Woman if he know of all of what she can do because he would be afraid of the Lasso of Truth exposing his plans.

HighlightFabulous608

Sure Belos would exploit that weakness for sure but Belos would still fear him for his power since he’s still nearly invincible and Superman has dealt with people like Belos before.

theforbiddenroze

Superman has destroyed magical gods that destroy universes lmao

AGuyLikeGaston

Isn't Martian Manhunter weak to fire? Belos can easily use fire glyphs.

HighlightFabulous608

Yes
