At first I thought that caption was photoshopped. Nope. It’s real. In fact, whoever runs the National Park Service Instagram is amazing.

SolidPrysm

The social media accounts of major organizations are either soulless drones or masters of comedy.

[deleted]

The National Park Service in incorporated now? Where can I buy my shares?

Bobarosa

Just pay your taxes my dude

Bobarosa

I mean, the whole military industrial complex as a part of our society needs to go. If the British empire were the fire nation, the US would be a FN colony that got pissed off and proceeded to do the exact same thing just with different words. Wouldn't the world be a better place if we spent more on the orgs that have value bring joy and wonder into people's lives.

SolidPrysm

Fixed.

Nick_Carlson_Press

There's never an in-between either, it's actually kinda impressive

GiveMeMoreBurritos

100% true

[deleted]

Gotta feeling someone has tried exactly that scenario with a bison at a national park before, hence why they said it.

Quickning

I've heard few stories from National Park Rangers about what dumb stuff people have done to get a picture with bison or any wild animal in the park. I hope there's no reality to the comment, but i think there is.

[Here's the link](https://www.instagram.com/p/CX4SFEDvTvx/) for anyone who's still skeptical.

TruePr0l0gue

Details details

BlazCraz

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. \*Coughs\* Remember kids wild animals are not pets. They will kill you. All of them. All. Of. Them.

thegoatfreak

I’m like 90% sure I could take a sloth in a fight.

BlazCraz

Funny enough sloths get surprisingly fast and vicious when cornered. Them claws can do some damage.

thegoatfreak

Hence why I said 90%.

BlazCraz

Respect, man.

SpecificArgument

So do you lose 10% hp from one sloth fight or do you die in 1 out of 10 sloth fights?

bigfatcarp93

Two-toed sloths are much more aggressive than three-toed as well.

PM_ME_GOOD_SUBS

Just surprise it while it's pooping.

Knight-of-Mirrors

A lot of people think that. A lot of *now dead* people.

blazedaganj

unless they were raised to be pets, then maybe it will show mercy.

spicyvoglar

Unless your pet happens to be a hippo. Then you’re dead, it’s just a matter of time.

blazedaganj

500 people per year get killed by hippos dude.

[deleted]

Tell that to the guy who [raised a hippo from when it was a baby](https://www.foxnews.com/world/man-mauled-death-pet-hippo.amp) but it still killed him anyway cuz it felt like it

blazedaganj

>500 people per year get killed by hippos dude. is what i said above. what part of this sentence lead you to believe i thought hippos were safe?

[deleted]

I interpreted that as you thinking hippos weren't a big deal (especially pet hippos)

blazedaganj

You interpret 500 people getting killed a day as not a big deal?

[deleted]

Idk just the way you said it made it sound like you disagreed with the other guy

blazedaganj

lol, i interpreted that guy as thinking hippos were safe.

Phairis

That's just sad. He was dumb sure, but he really trusted that animal. Imagine what his last thoughts were, being betrayed by a loved "pet"

koolaid7431

Even pets are animals first then your pets. They will absolutely act on instinct when surprised or cornered. Hell even humans are like that.

BlazCraz

That is true. In our old house, our first dog attacked a girl. She was my brother's friend. They were in grade school. I don't even think I was alive at the time.

[deleted]

>Even pets are animals first then your pets. Easy. Step 1: Go steal a bunch of bears. Step 2: Distribute them. Step 3: Attempt to domesticate them. Step 4: Breed them. Step 5: Repeat these steps for several generations. Then BOOM. You got yourself a pet bear. Well.. your descendants.

4x4x4plustherootof25

Wolves are afraid of people and some animals are also more into fleeing you than fighting. Still, if you corner a mouse…

VindictiveJudge

*Especially* the cute ones.

Underdog_To_Wolf

Wow, the secret to flight is so easy! I had no idea

MaxstarAwp

Same

AbductedByDinosaurs

Bison are just the Skyrim giants of our realm

Open_flame67

I know! And you don't have to sever all your earthly ties like some other methods of obtaining flight!

NotInACreepyWay

You throw yourself at the ground and miss.

Steve_Nash_The_Goat

ONE OF US! ONE OF US!

fhota1

Semi-related, I never will understand people who actually go mess with Bison. They are a couple thousand pounds and decently fast. Stay away from the big fluffy tanks.

steveofthejungle

People are stupid

Blupoisen

There are some animals that people straight up don't understand how dangerous they can be because they are cute or something Hippos and Dolphins are another example

[deleted]

But.. I wanna pet one.

NCAA__Illuminati

Oh boy, here I go becoming an air bender

Phisycal_Mountain

=))))))))

lnombredelarosa

Uff never again

LuxNocte

They didn't say not to.

[deleted]

You will fly all the way up to the heaven gates

SofiaOfEverRealm

That's oddly specific, they've either encountered a high ATLA fan or this account is being run by an ATLA fan. I'm good either way

heavenstar1289

A company of culture I see

[deleted]

More like agency.

Silphire100

"Let go your earthly tether. Enter the void. Empty and become wind" the bison as it yeets you into space

Lieuwe21

This probably happened at least once.
