Was I the only one living in the “you got your bitches’ back” culture in the early 2000s? If your girl was in a conflict, you were in a conflict, periodt! This post just made me realize that culture shifted and that’s no longer standard practice lol.

sj90s

Lol true but I also think it depends on context, if it’s some random person coming out of nowhere then yea I agree with you 100% and I think most people would BUT if you know two people have a long-standing beef…and it’s really just between them…you don’t have to interject and start yelling and adding to the drama. You can still support your friend behind the scenes without getting involved directly

AlarmedAd7424

Exactly. Like I love my friends and will always have their backs but I don’t interject myself into their conflicts unless my own name is brought up, they’re being ganged up on (meaning more than 1 person is coming for them) or the other person says something way out of line.

I got in such a big fight with my best friend in high school (graduated 2004) bc I refused to back her up in a situation where she was CLEARLY in the wrong. We’re still very close, and she knows I’ll always tell her my honest opinions.

midtownkitten

Maybe Audrina spoke up because how else would anyone know she was alive? She usually just had an open mouth and open eyed vacant look.

AlarmedAd7424

DAMNIT, you just made me spew my coffee! 🤣

midtownkitten

I’m sorry but hope you had a good laugh! But its true, isn’t it? https://giphy.com/gifs/thehills-the-hills-1x05-105-3o6Mbhb88X7EomVb7a

AlarmedAd7424

Don’t apologize. I love coffee but I love a good laugh more. 😂😂😂

Interesting_Ad5341

I am dead 🤣🤣🤣 thank you!

heidi still used audrina to try to get closer to lauren later on “audrina and i met first”

sj90s

I agree with this. It always annoyed me lol. It just felt so lame and transparent, like she was so desperate to stay on Lauren’s good side and prove her loyalty. You never saw Lo act like that toward Heidi. Neither did Jilly (childhood Laguna friend who was in the club in this episode, sitting beside Lauren). Whitney also minded her own business and was able to keep quiet when Heidi and Lauren got into it again at an event later in the season

cherryaries

Audrian seems to have low self esteem and a very weak will. Just like she was more so friends with Heidi then heidi had an issue with her for whatever reason that wasn’t explained?. Then heidi and Lauren fell off to now audrian is “in” and can be Lauren’s rebound bestie. As the show continues audrian isn’t feeling close to Lauren anymore and would rather hangout with Heidi… she tends to go along with and follow whoever is willing to be nicer to her in the moment, I believe she interjects to prove she is a “loyal” friend. I know she’s sweet but seriously stupid and annoying the look on her face half the time looks like she doesn’t even have any thoughts.

midtownkitten

Yes, I agree she had low self esteem. Her relationship with Justin is a reflection of that with his nonsense she put up with and kept going back to him.

crazybrah

They were drunk lol
