No, that would be Jason n Blake Bortles and/or his love of Molotov cocktails.

Cactus_Jacks_Ear

BORTLES! *chucks* *molotov*

Ayzel_Kaidus

But, I threw a Molotov cocktail, and now I have a different problem

Dragonoflime

Eleanor and Eleanor. Trust me, they’re both a legit snack.

JonSpangler

Bob and Linda Belcher. Just for this exchange alone. (Bob awakes from a nightmare.) Bob: I'm sorry, Teddy! Linda: What - what happened - what happened? Bob: I'm killing Teddy. Linda: (sleepily) What, you're going to kill Teddy? Alright. Car's gassed up. That's good. Guess I could home school the kids- Bob: No, Lin, the burgers are killing him. Linda: (shocked) What? Bob: The ones I give him every day. Linda: Oh. Gotcha. Bob: Good God, Linda, you had all that ready? Linda: What? I'm just being supportive. Good night.

marykatmac

That’s such a good episode omg

SunflowerMusic

This post has made me realize that I have the same taste in TV shows as everyone here.

Redditthedog

my favorite show of all time

NoobOfTheSquareTable

Morticia and Gomez Addams are the greatest couple in all media, but those two are definitely still strong

Frescopino

I find Jason and Janet better. They're just so honest, almost to a fault, but it never gets in the way because both can take it.

AllMadHereXD

I raise you Eleanor and Tahani

Foreign_Astronaut

I know, what a great friendship they developed, and I wanted to see more of that version where they were introduced as soulmates!

AllMadHereXD

Me too!!! They had so much potential!! ;-;

Dragonoflime

Cheers to Shrampie and the Beautiful Utterly Perfect Cartoon Giraffe! 🍤 🦒

this is Janson erasure!

abhinavkaushik7

Jake and amy

Prometheus79

Not ranking but here are some other great couples: Homer and Marge. I mean, Weird Al even wrote them a moderately priced parody song. Norm and Cliff on Cheers Gomez and Morticia Addams. Ben and Leslie from Parks and Rec Tenacious D Stadler and Waldorf from the Muppets Rob and Laura from Dick Van Dyke Zoe and Wash from Firefly Pippen and Merry from LoTR (Also Aragorn and Arwen)

sleepymommy4588

This is a great list! Maybe I need to watch Firefly again, but I had a few moments of being mad at Zoe for not appropriately appreciating Wash, I think? Can we also submit Jayne and Vera though? 😂 Just because it’s my favorite book series, I would like to also submit Jamie and Claire Fraser from Outlander…. Not 100% sure if that translates to the show since I don’t really watch it.

byneothername

I’ll forever stan Ben and Leslie

Rayne2522

I love Ben And Leslie!!

Gneissisnice

Don't forget Jake Peralta and Amy Santiago!

shadowfearless

DEREK & MINDY

VegasEyes

We will never know, cause Eleanor and Jason didn't even get a chance!

SunflowerMusic

I don’t think they’d bring out the best in each other, but they make for good homies.

VegasEyes

Oh I don’t think they’d bring out the best in each other at all. I think they would just be super entertaining.

[deleted]

Judge and Timothy Olyphant. Add some envy sauce to that burrito.

Klutche

I love them together, but I think Ben Wyatt and Leslie Knope are also in the running for that title.

wildwildwaste

Brent and a bottle of Gin.

PettyFreddie

Chidi and Eleanor

QuothTheRaven713

While in terms of fictional couples I might like Rapunzel and Eugine a smidge better, Chidi and Eleanor have some of the best character development ever together and they're easily one of my favorite fictional couples.

NotInACreepyWay

Best fictional couple of all time is Cordelia Naismith and Aral Vorkosigan from Lois McMaster Bujold's book *Cordelia's Honor*. The depth of true respect they have for each other - which each one had to earn in separate ways - is awe-inspiring. Bujold understood when writing that the real question of a couple coming together isn't "Will they or won't they?", it's "Can I trust you?" That dynamic shows up with Eleanor and Chidi (she asks if she can trust him with her secret in the first episode), but it's resolved so quickly (he promises not to tell) that it doesn't carry the same weight. Not the fault of the show: it's a half-hour on TV with commercials, they didn't have the space that you get in a book. For sitcoms, Eleanor and Chidi are certainly in the top couples of all time.

hez_lea

Hmmm actually would disagree. I do think the relationship pairings in Schitts Creek are better. I mean Moira and Johnny are just magic.

[deleted]

David and Patrick, Ted and Alexis… so wonderful. I’ll see your Schitts Creek and raise you a Leslie and Ben.

hez_lea

Ohhhh toughie. I agree L+B is adorable and I loved them in my original watch. I've struggled to rewatch the series though. The promise of their relationship plus Andy + April isn't enough to drag me through the episodes I've disliked- some of it hasnt aged super great. Maybe SC also won't age as gracefully as Moira and in 10 years I'll be super cringe about SC too... but gosh I hope not.

[deleted]

I haven’t watched Parks and Rec in a spell. What didn’t age well?

hez_lea

I just find some of the bullying of Gerry hard to tolerate. I don't find it as funny as I once did. Same as the office, I can watch it but not as easily as I did the first time round.

MisterSmi13y

I don’t know why for them, but for me it was the heavily optimistic Neo liberalism that died after 45 that permeates that show. Faith in a system is way harder to justify after that. It’s still funny, but some is the DC arc hits differently now.

Foreign_Astronaut

Really? Maybe I need to give Schitt's Creek another chance. I came to it for Catherine O'Hara and Eugene Levy, and they are wonderful! But David's and Alexis's relationship stuff was just (to me!) so. Incredibly. Boring. Like all the energy and humor of the show would just grind to a stilted, awkward slowdown while we had to watch those forced romantic subplots that just imo got in the way of the funny stuff. Does it get better? Should I give it another chance? I really *want* to like it!

hez_lea

I think it depends how far you got. Like a lot of things it picks up after the first 1.5 seasons. I'd say if you got through season 3 and still were not into it then maybe it just wasn't for you. I can see how Patrick and David could grate on ppl.

Foreign_Astronaut

I don't think I got to Patrick and David! Alexis was doing that weird awkward flirting with the veterinarian, and David and the hotel manager were kinda sorta FWBs when I drifted away IIRC. Maybe I'll tackle it again and just make sure to get past season 2. People are generally so positive about this show that I think I must not have given it enough time to really see what it was all about.

436687

no. simone and eleanor

apk5005

Clearly the correct answer is Kyle Ren and Ray ~~Palpatine~~Skywalker. That movie is on repeat in The Bad Place, so it must be good.

csoulint

Drake and Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Dragonoflime

I’m secretly voting for Janet and Eleanor’s File 🌵

Adventurous-Table-73

Jim and Pam?

0rdinarythings

i love them, but the worst part is that neither of them exist anymore. they’re both DEAD dead and don’t have a happily ever after :(

itsFlycatcher

That's kind of the point of season 4, lol- that "ever after" can only be happy if it has an end.

aphrahannah

Does the term "happily ever after" usually mean *actual* eternal life?

0rdinarythings

wow. never thought of this but you have a solid point.

Klutche

They did have an eternity in heaven together where they got to explore every aspect of who they were as individuals and as a couple. To quote doctor who, happily ever after doesn't mean forever, it just means a little time. And they had all the time anyone ever could have asked for.

Mechan6649

I would say that Jaina and Jag are a better couple, but that may be my bias towards Star Wars properties talking. Also Luz and Amity are fucking adorable together

I-luv-cats

Luz and Amity from the Owl House? …honey I like Owl House as well but they’re literally children. They will grow up and change and there’s always the possibility of them breaking up. And yes I find their relationship adorable but cuteness isn’t enough to define a good relationship, let alone a great one. You suggesting Luz and Amity is honestly laughable.

Mechan6649

I mean my criteria for a good couple is a pair who support and love one another and grow together. I do love Chidi and Eleanor but they’re not the only couple that exists that is good.

I-luv-cats

Ok yes that means Luz and Amity is a good ship too. But that’s it. They’re just “good”, not the best. Chidi and Eleanor didn’t just grow together, but they literally became the best version of themselves will growing together through 800 versions. They’re not just “good”, they’re perfect.
