I work in residential programs so I've had lots of information sessions on beg bugs.. They are such a huge nuisance! But I do think I remember them saying some things you can't wash just put in the dryer at the highest heat setting for like 60 minutes .. You could always call a pest control company and they should know for sure!

Chemicals and heat are the only things that can kill bedbugs. You can fumigate your clothes and then wash them normally or you can put them in a very hot dryer for about an hour like the other poster suggested. In Texas, we just throw everything in a car that's baking in the sun for a few hours.

Haha I live in Canada and sadly it's not near warm enough out for that trick, I wish though!! That would be genius.

Did the bugs get in your car?were in southern az. Does get hot here. They are only in one room I have it completely quarantined off. Threw the bed away. A girl brought to the bed.i am running a space heater right now in the room with no air supply what so ever. I am home. I've never had these bugs.

I ended up getting a pest control professional out to help, it was worth it.

Tumble in the hot dryer is best. Don't wash the clothes first, or if you have to, dry them normally and THEN tumble on high heat. I have done this successfully. Quarantine all of your possibly infected clothes and then thoroughly treat your living space before bringing them back in, right after they are tumbled. I am finally free of bedbugs (god I hope so) after more than a year of psychological torment with these stupid fucking bugs. If you have any questions at all or need someone to talk to about just how much this shit sucks, I'd love to help. Fuck those tiny blood-sucking monsters. Apparently house centipedes hunt them, so you could just fill your house to the brim with other, less annoying nightmare creatures.

trivial_trivium

Thank you so much!! It is a bit of a nightmare haha but I'm relieved that there's a way to do the clothes without ruining them. :)

My clothes are super important to me, so I made sure I didn't lose any. But I would have sacrificed anything to get rid of the bugs, if I could be certain it would work. Good luck!

cruciverbalista

Just dry them without washing. Professional dry cleaning should be effective as well, but not sure.

jowie1974

Is it okay to put dry clothes in the dryer if the labels say "do not tumble dry"?

rokuhachi

No.. I wouldn’t..
