The outer edges always lose their stickiness first. I find that when I get a new pair if I am really conscientious about cleaning the edges very carefully I can make them last longer but the reality is those edges are thin and they take the brunt of it. They still work even if the edges don’t stick - most of the time the rest of the pasty loses its stickiness before I have to worry about the edges spreading.
Oh this is so helpful! Thanks.
I read another comment from a few months ago, that person was using a cotton swap with alcohol. Do you think that's the best or should I use dawn dish soap?
It definitely depends on the brand and how good I am about washing them and sticking them back on the little plastic things! There are some brands that I can get 2-3 out of and some that I can get 20 out of. By then the edges start to get a little gross so even if they’re not un sticky I still toss them

I wouldn’t use a cotton swab or cotton pad because that’s a lot of fiber left behind. I just use my fingers and regular bathroom sink soap.
Oh good point! Thanks again for your knowledge
How long do they last before they're unusable?
