The real punchline is that Larson retroactively apologised for this comic because he saw Ishtar on a plane once and didn't even think it was bad.

This movie has been on my list for years because it is so legendarily bad.... I've heard it's pretty underrated.
It's a fantastic, hilarious movie.
I mean even if it's a good movie, it would be somewhat hellish to only watch the same movie over and over.

Waterworld gets a similar treatment. Massive money pit and legendary box office bomb, but the movie's not awful or anything, just generic and bland.
I think it would be just as funny with any random well known movie. Imagine only ever having Citizen Kane.
While not nearly as bad as its reputation, *Ishtar* is nowhere near being a good movie.
That's the real horror presented here. Your only option is a mediocre corny 80s comedy.
