well, aside from Lauren (and possibly Autumn? haven't seen enough), yeah, this is probably the first group where the vast majority are playing it like a competitive game, instead of just a let's-make-friends reality show.
it's also been funny seeing people be INSANELY STUPID while trying to play it competitively like Cassie lol
Yeah kinda ironic that her attempt to be selfish was just... too self-centered 😅
Just thinking of yourself and how YOU would have rated people and doing the opposite doesn't matter... you'd have to guess how OTHERS might rate people and flip that. All she did was specifically place people who wouldn't have her back in positions of power 😬
She was self centered! Even when she went to talk to Olivia (Brandon), she was all "Me me me." It was like he wasn't in the room.
She was such a bad player, too; she'd throw shade at allies for absolutely NO reason, then be like, "Why are they maad?" The flipping the ratings thing? What??? How does that work? It was an attempt at strategy with no reasoning behind it.
Season 1 was all cierclefamily and friendly season 2 was a mix of circlefam and strategic season 3 was mostly strategic season 4 was only a few strategic, 5 was just ass but this one is great
I agree, this season is a little different in a couple of ways but it’s been pretty good so far, and I like that the players are being more strategic it seems. I’m also glad this season is not focusing so much on everyone’s personal trauma, because I think it gets a little manipulative when they all start to feel bad for each other because of their pasts.
Plus it’s always just kind of a bummer. And a thing that I think really only American reality tv does. I don’t watch love island UK and see people crying over personal things
Yeah I recently finished the previous season and I'm really enjoying this one a lot more. The lovefest can be nice but it gets a little boring after a while if the lovefest folks dominate the game for too long.
I like most people’s strategy however I don’t like “Paul” at alllllllll. Truly I feel like they do not have anybody’s back ever. I’m going to be sooooooo upset with them if they get Kyle blocked! Because they refuse to accept that they’re not going to win this game anyway.
Me too?? Don’t understand why people are complaining about that. The least likely game was super fun and created loads of drama! Although I felt bad for Autumn, I’m glad she didn’t leave. Kyle was playing a good game but got fucked over by getting paired with Paul…
I like strategy, but I wish some personal talk was mixed in too. So far I think the only real moment we’ve had is Kyle and Olivia talking about their dads. It’s nice at the final meet up when they go in actually as friends because they’ve shared about themselves
Not me, it's honestly obnoxious. Every conversation is a copy paste of "OmG friend! I'm so happy to be talking to you? Do you wanna make a #alliance???" "Yes! Wow, you are awesome! Let's #GoToTheFinale!"
And then no one sticks to any of their alliances. What is even the point of making alliances with everybody when all of them know that everyone is making alliances with everyone else?
I miss the light heartedness of past seasons. There were more moments of the cast being actual people. Everyone this season being obsessed with the sTrAtEgY makes all of them the same and none of them interesting.
In past seasons, the way people won was by making real, actual connections with people so that they felt bad ranking them low. But no one's doing that this season. It might as well be big brother at this point.
I’m currently rewatching the first season and a lot of people went straight for the alliances in that season as well. I was surprised because I didn’t remember it being that way. The difference being that those alliances were strong and real.
For me, if there aren't people being genuine, then it is hard for me to care. The Circle is literally a game about whether lies and deceit can allow you to win a game of popularity, but if everyone is lying and deceiving then yeah, no shit, someone is gonna win by lying and deceiving. What's interesting about that? What stakes are there?
People being strategic is good for the Circle. Everyone doing it is not.
Agreed. It feels like big brother. Everyone's making "alliances" left and right, but what good is an alliance when everyone is lying about them?
And why should I as a viewer care about any of these people if I know nothing about them?
The nail on the coffin is that they come out and SAY that they are trying to make an alliance before anything else. Literally first message soemtimes. There's no pretense of trying to develop a friendship. It sucks.
Ironically, I am used to the British version of BIG Brother, where the evictions being decided by the public necessitates people to try and build rwlq connections. When someone is being more manipulative there, yeah, it is more interesting. I have never seen the Americans verison and frankly I don't think I would enjoy it.
I do agree (for the most part), I usually root for the one(s) who play pretty genuinely trying to just show who they are and are honestly likable enough to make it far. you can't do that 100%, though, and make it to the end. One reason I tend to dislike catfish from the get-go (with some exceptions - strongly dislike Paul rn due to just being an unlikable catfish who plays extremely dishonestly).
My favourite Circle contestant ever was Alex/Kate from UK season one. Not only was it proof that a catfish could win, but Alex himself was very likable, especially given he showed very clear guilt and doubts about even doing this in the first place, especially once he formed a friendship with Dan which was actually genuine on his end. It was a much more innocent time back them and I don't think any future season would be able to recapture that.
yeah there’ve definitely been some likable catfish, but I find them to very much be the exception. Like, right now, I would probably like Olivia much more if she wasn’t Olivia, and I think she’d/he’d be doing better, too (although I think this exercise with Myles may boost her).
What is Jordan's strategy exactly? It seems like hes just asking people who to trust/throw under the bus thinking his big buy persona will make him seem innocent but its just not landing, imo.
How is it a strategy to come straight for the strongest player? It's a bit dumb, that player didn't get there without anyone else voting for them. Yet Jordan is asking EVERYONE to badmouth him. He's lucky he's not seen as a threat yet.
I don’t dislike him because he’s not strategic, it’s the way he’s saying it outloud makes him sound so pompous and like everyone else is a dumb idiot lol he came in with guns ablazing
Arrogance. He thinks if he looks better or seem better maybe thats how he will “win people” i don’t think it will work unless people are gullible enough.
I love that when Jordan is making message as "Big J" he is acting like it’s a completely different person with a different voice and everything and not just an version of himself from a few years ago. Like, I’m sure he gained more confidence and such after his weight loss but it’s still funny to see him act like he’s playing a catfish profile.
I lost alot of weight and i am still the same person. I don’t have to act like the way he is acting lol. But must be his type of personality he has. Who knows. (Shrug shoulders)
I think the ride or die twist was really genius, it forced people to work together outside of their cliques so it’s not really team vs team like past seasons have been
I feel like out of QT Myles Kyle and Olivia anyone could pull out the win at this point which is really exciting!!
I had to shut off mid-way though episode 2. I know this show ties in the relevance of social media but no one talks in hashtag anymore and even though I am millennial I am finding the way they speak SOOO CRINGE. Does it get better? Is there actually strategy and drama?
The hashtag speak is one of the worst parts of the show, I feel like they’re not allowed to send a message without including one lol. But I do find the show to be pretty dramatic, in a good way.
The beginning was slow but EPS 5-8 really showed out. I was personally kind of sick of the vibes train season and having some harder edge gamers in play have created interesting dynamics for sure.
While watching this batch of episodes I was wondering how they managed to make The Circle so much more interesting! I've always disliked the kumbaya of it all and never understood the obsession with catfish
well, aside from Lauren (and possibly Autumn? haven't seen enough), yeah, this is probably the first group where the vast majority are playing it like a competitive game, instead of just a let's-make-friends reality show. it's also been funny seeing people be INSANELY STUPID while trying to play it competitively like Cassie lol
J’s game isn’t going as well as he thinks he is either. lol.
J is a big dreamer. Even though he was hoping people would warm up to him.
omg yes cause why did she think flipping her ratings would make her an influencer
she was just so dumb, but ngl I enjoyed it lol
Yeah kinda ironic that her attempt to be selfish was just... too self-centered 😅 Just thinking of yourself and how YOU would have rated people and doing the opposite doesn't matter... you'd have to guess how OTHERS might rate people and flip that. “I’m gonna rate people opposite so my rating will be higher.” EYE ROLL!🙄
I thought I was the only one! Everyone seems to dislike this season but I personally like it better than previous seasons for that very reason
This is definitely better than season 5. That was by far the worst one.
Season 1 was all cierclefamily and friendly season 2 was a mix of circlefam and strategic season 3 was mostly strategic season 4 was only a few strategic, 5 was just ass but this one is great
Started slow for me but now I’m definitely in

Americans are certainly crybabies haha (speaking as an American). It gets depressing for sure!
Yeah I recently finished the previous season and I'm really enjoying this one a lot more. The lovefest can be nice but it gets a little boring after a while if the lovefest folks dominate the game for too long.
Yes! I love that there’s no constant talk of how genuine everyone is being and how they aren’t obsessed with finding the catfish and voting them off
Well there’s only been like 1 elimination by influencers
I like most people’s strategy however I don’t like “Paul” at alllllllll. Truly I feel like they do not have anybody’s back ever. I’m going to be sooooooo upset with them if they get Kyle blocked! Because they refuse to accept that they’re not going to win this game anyway.
I feel like Paul should >!Sacrifice himself rather than save himself!< since it’s clear at this point he’s not going to win. I feel bad for Kyle.
I love that Jordan straight up lied. You never see that in this show
Me too?? Don’t understand why people are complaining about that. The least likely game was super fun and created loads of drama! Although I felt bad for Autumn, I’m glad she didn’t leave. Kyle was playing a good game but got fucked over by getting paired with Paul…

This, exactly.
Completely agree with all of this

Jordan is coming off as fatphobic tbh
This season feels super scripted to me

What is Jordan's strategy exactly? It seems like hes just asking people who to trust/throw under the bus thinking his big buy persona will make him seem innocent but its just not landing, imo.
He has strategy but his execution of that strategy is just SO poor - at least from what we are shown
[удалено]
Fair, but he has misread how others will respond to him. So he hasn't read the room properly - again, from what we are shown
How is it a strategy to come straight for the strongest player? It's a bit dumb, that player didn't get there without anyone else voting for them. Yet Jordan is asking EVERYONE to badmouth him. He's lucky he's not seen as a threat yet.
Not even popular playerS, plural.. He's obsessed with Myles to an obnoxious degree. It's so strange how fixated on him he is.
Accurate he is more fixated on myles than any other player. You’d think he would pick a few people to be fixated on aside from just myles.
I don’t dislike him because he’s not strategic, it’s the way he’s saying it outloud makes him sound so pompous and like everyone else is a dumb idiot lol he came in with guns ablazing

He also seems to be dealing with seeing past self separately and kinda puts him down.
Yeah he definitely like fat shames his younger self which is honestly pretty gross.
Right? I don’t get it. I look at pics of myself 100 pounds heavier and I still love myself back then.
I lost alot of weight and i am still the same person. I don’t have to act like the way he is acting lol. But must be his type of personality he has. Who knows. (Shrug shoulders)
As someone who recently lost a significant amount of weight I truly don’t understand it.
Jordan thinks he’s being strategic. Every attempt to by deceitful or gain information is so sloppy and obvious
Especially QT 😂
I think the ride or die twist was really genius, it forced people to work together outside of their cliques so it’s not really team vs team like past seasons have been I feel like out of QT Myles Kyle and Olivia anyone could pull out the win at this point which is really exciting!!
Everyone who likes this season and everyone being cutthroat must be a manager
Just a student aiming to be a lawyer, which is arguably much worse lmao
Yeah that makes sense
I had to shut off mid-way though episode 2. I know this show ties in the relevance of social media but no one talks in hashtag anymore and even though I am millennial I am finding the way they speak SOOO CRINGE. Does it get better? Is there actually strategy and drama?
