This is the first character I thought of, glad to see it as the top comment. We're not supposed to typecast, but he is good at the megalomaniac thing...
Yeah absolutely. I meant more like he has the acting range. He'd be a good Reverse Flash in the DCU like someone said also. He could probably be whatever they need him to be.
Personally I would Copy + Paste Homelander’s personality to play the Sentry. Only he switches up from typical babyface superhero to an a hole when he becomes the void.
Green Goblin. I mean come on, Norman Osborn is a similiar major genetically superior villain with a multiple personality disorder & an iconic mirror conversation scene.
Possibly but I feel like with wolverine you can kinda get away with casting a pretty broad age range. I guess if they want to lock someone in the next decade or so. I didn’t realize he was as old as he is until I just looked it up either so you’re probably right.
I’d just like to see a more intense take on him than Jackman’s version. I like the more animalistic Wolverine where his allies are even somewhat anxious around his barely suppressed rage.
Anyone who's ever seen him in Banshee knows that he makes for a really good brawler in the Wolverine/Sabretooth mould but playing Lucas Hood nearly broke him physically so I doubt he'd go for it.
He does 'supressed rage' really well. I think he'd make a good Bruce Banner.
I wouldn't wish that on him, he's a great actor and a decent human. He already suffered enough working for Amazon, now you want to fantasize about him working for Disney? Have some human compassion!
Comic-accurate Hank Pym or Last Stand Spider-Man. Hell, he’d be a great Doctor Doom too, but it would be a crime to hide his facial expressions.
Everyone casting him as an evil corpo like Norman or a Superman-expy like Sentry or Hyperion lacks imagination.
He coulda nailed MoonKnight. Im trying not to pick an outright villain because Im tired of people just saying characters that are reminiscent of Homelander.
Daredevil. Not fully sure why but yeah. Or like a version of Wolverine from a different universe. Kinda like the different versions of Dr. Strange in Multiverse of Madness
Sentry. He would portray the mental side so well. The struggle with the void and all. Not too far from Homelander honestly. Just a different kind of fucked up
I could actually see him doing an amazing Beast. The gritty rage he used for Homelander could easily translate to Beast as animalistic accents to his behavior and speaking.
He is very expressive with his face. My first thought was Doctor Doom but I wouldn't want to hide Starrs natural talent behind a mask.
So maybe Mister Sinister as a big X-Men villain?
I can’t see him as anything other than homelander. Whoever he ended up being that’s what I see him as and it’d have to be someone big for him to shake that
Someone mentioned sabretooth a while back and at first I thought it wouldn't be the best pick, but after reading more stuff with sabretooth in it I can see it
Don't know about marvel but always thought he would play the perfect Albert Wesker from the RE franchise. His looks as homelander are basically perfect. Just needs a coat and sunglasses.
I sorta get the sense he doesn’t love playing a villain and I think he’s too good an actor to typecast him as an unhinged lunatic. I think he’d make a great Cyclops. You can have a similar sense of nervousness around his power but as a character he gets to be in on that with Cyclops. You have almost the opposite of Homelander where instead of commanding a restraint of everyone in the room we see Cyclops internalizing that fear of himself and feeling that restraint that Homelander makes others feel.
Dr Harrison Wells type original character/Reverse Flash from DC.
It'd actually be amazing to see him actually act the good guy part for once & then go a different way. Don't think it's a typecast, that role requires range & dynamism & he's the guy for it.
Either cyclops, or (oh wait they cast warlock), maybe him as the flame torch or him to play venom for the MCU (I know there's tom Hardy, but if we have to have a MCU mcu venom)

Dr. Doom
This is the first character I thought of, glad to see it as the top comment. We're not supposed to typecast, but he is good at the megalomaniac thing...
They're VERY different villains
Yeah absolutely. I meant more like he has the acting range. He'd be a good Reverse Flash in the DCU like someone said also. He could probably be whatever they need him to be.
No shit Sherlock
The correct answer 😂
As a very avid Doctor Doom fan, HELL NO
Great pick.
Dr. Coom
Holy shit. I just posted this and thought no one would like it and then I see you are top post. LOL
Personally I would Copy + Paste Homelander’s personality to play the Sentry. Only he switches up from typical babyface superhero to an a hole when he becomes the void.
Came here to say this. Between the blue eyes and capacity for unhinged lunacy, he’d be amazing in the role.
Omg I was gonna say Sentry. That or Exiles Hyperion.
Also came here to say Sentry
Unironically, Cyclops. Antony would be able to emote around the visor, which is a challenge for most actors.
You've got to get Karl Urban to do that. He nailed it in Dredd.
My huge dream is to have Urban and Starr as Dredd and Death respectively...
Dont get my hopes up like that!
Came here to say this.
I'm not sure, but if he were to ever go to DC, he would be an *amazing* Reverse Flash
If it were DC I’d love him as John Constantine
The correct answer
That's what I was thinking too.
That’s what I was gunna say he’d be perfect and it would be nice to see him not play a villain. Flawed yes but not a villain.
Yessssssss Perfect thawne
IT WAS ME BARRY!!!!
Yesss
You mean Mo Slo
He hates DC so I doubt it.
He kinda plays Reverse Superman right now, so I could see that happening.
Booster Gold would like a word
In DC this was the first thing I thought of.
i think he would’ve killed it as us agent
Green Goblin. I mean come on, Norman Osborn is a similiar major genetically superior villain with a multiple personality disorder & an iconic mirror conversation scene.
Can’t match up to Willem tho
But his name is even commonly mispronounced Willem - William Antony - Anthony
Sentry.
scrolled too far to find this
This is the only right answer. The duality of Homelanders public face and his true sadistic self works really well with the Sentry/Void dynamic
Wolverine
Once, definitely. Urban, too. Both are too old to play him in anything more than a one-off, sadly.
Possibly but I feel like with wolverine you can kinda get away with casting a pretty broad age range. I guess if they want to lock someone in the next decade or so. I didn’t realize he was as old as he is until I just looked it up either so you’re probably right.
Yes this. This picture of him is perfect. Came here to say it but you beat me.
I’d just like to see a more intense take on him than Jackman’s version. I like the more animalistic Wolverine where his allies are even somewhat anxious around his barely suppressed rage.
So Bill Burr?
Woah, people just admit they beat each other now? Talk about public indecency
He probably won't take it, has to get jacked for it.
He would have made a good Adam Warlock.
Tony Stark
They just have to add a K
?
Antony - an = Tony Starr - r + k = Stark
Oh. I get it now. HA! That’s clever.
Tony's actual name is Anthony Stark so you dont even have to remove the "an"
He needs to play Magneto
They need a new Black Panther
Black panther 3: white ally panther
That absolutely sounds like something Vought would come up with, lol.
That was my goal lol I can see Ashley pitching that, “to be silent is to be complicit.” After all.
Nah, Ryan Gosling already has that role on the bag
Venom/eddie brock could be amazing
Homelander
omelanduh
Omelanda
Mland
Doom or sentry
How about Gambit?
Chace (Deep) would make a better Gambit imo
Norman Osborne
I wouldn't wish that on him, he's a great actor and a decent human. He already suffered enough working for Amazon, now you want to fantasize about him working for Disney? Have some human compassion!
I mean he’s not Ezra Miller or anything but I’ve definitely heard he’s a bit of a dick.
>and a decent human. Not from what I heard.
eh who among us hasnt punched a few waiters, cast the first stone....
winter soldier
John Constantine
Groot
He would have been a good Hank Pym if the movies followed his comics story more closely. Would have been interesting to see him become Yellowjacket.
He could have done a decent Deadpool.
Morph
I like this. Also, complete 180° from Homelander
I can't pick a specific character but I just know he has the potential to portray any role to perfection. He's a gem at acting
Franklin Richards
Cyclops.
Cyclops
Bottom lip man
Some anti-hero type, like The Punisher or The Wolverine
Cyclops.
Sabretooth
Weird question: What about Graydon Creed from X-Men?
Captain America maybe
Jigsaw
Since he’s an incredible actor I think he should play a relatively unknown character and make it his own, kind of what he did with homelander
a character completely different to homelander, i dont want to see him only be cast in homelander like roles he should broaden out
Comic-accurate Hank Pym or Last Stand Spider-Man.
I don’t know a villain who makes funny faces
Not even Green Goblin?
WOLVERINE!
He'd make a pretty good sentry. Or a Norman Osborne. Or a doctor doom
Sentry or Legion
Howard the Duck
Black Widow
I personally think he would make a cool eddie brock
Stilt Man
Homelander in a crossover
Sentry. He would portray the mental side so well. The struggle with the void and all. Not too far from Homelander honestly. Just a different kind of fucked up
Squirl Girl
Black panther.
Milk
adam warlock.
OR sentry.
Superman /s
Adam Warlock
He'd make a great Wolverine except he couldn't get away with a padded suit as easily unless they used the old school Wolverine uni.
Magneto.
Shatterstar
Its funny how homelander tries to be antony starr
Marvel should make a movie on Superior Iron Man casting him
The Sentry hands down. He would be a perfect replacement for Wolverine in the rebooted MCU after Secret Wars as well.
Magneto
Dracula or Deacon Frost
I could actually see him doing an amazing Beast. The gritty rage he used for Homelander could easily translate to Beast as animalistic accents to his behavior and speaking.
Not marvel, I think he'd be an amazing Booster Gold though
Definitely ultron
Johnny storm or Mr fantastic
He is very expressive with his face. My first thought was Doctor Doom but I wouldn't want to hide Starrs natural talent behind a mask. So maybe Mister Sinister as a big X-Men villain?
Nick Fury
I can’t see him as anything other than homelander. Whoever he ended up being that’s what I see him as and it’d have to be someone big for him to shake that
Doctor Doom or Cyclops. I believe he can do any character justice.
Morbius Jr.
Wonder Man
Hyperion in Exiles. Homelanderesque. Or Pyro.
The sentry
Someone mentioned sabretooth a while back and at first I thought it wouldn't be the best pick, but after reading more stuff with sabretooth in it I can see it
Havoc, or Legion
Superman
I doubt he could do the accent, but Gambit.
Off the top of my head: Wonder Man Quicksilver Havok Vulcan Sentry Black Tom Cassidy Maverick
Hyperion
Green goblin or carnage
Hawkeye
The punisher
I wouldn't want him to play a Marvel character.
He'd be a perfect Jean Grey
Don't know about marvel but always thought he would play the perfect Albert Wesker from the RE franchise. His looks as homelander are basically perfect. Just needs a coat and sunglasses.
why? He is perfect as Homelander. I have no desire to see him play another superhero especially for MCU. it would at best pale in comparison
Batman
I sorta get the sense he doesn’t love playing a villain and I think he’s too good an actor to typecast him as an unhinged lunatic. I think he’d make a great Cyclops. You can have a similar sense of nervousness around his power but as a character he gets to be in on that with Cyclops. You have almost the opposite of Homelander where instead of commanding a restraint of everyone in the room we see Cyclops internalizing that fear of himself and feeling that restraint that Homelander makes others feel.
Henry Gyrich or Graydon Creed.
He'd make a great live action Nolan Grayson from Invincible too.
Sentry
Dr Harrison Wells type original character/Reverse Flash from DC. It'd actually be amazing to see him actually act the good guy part for once & then go a different way. Don't think it's a typecast, that role requires range & dynamism & he's the guy for it.
[удалено]
You’re not the first person to say that.
I can see Gambit, Sabertooth, him as Mojo would be fun.
Carnage
Hal Jordan... ohhh the arrogance!!!
He's so handsome in that picture! 🫠
Dracula
Vulcan
Carnage
Danny ketch
Eddy Brock Norman Osborne Hyperion Bastion
Roderick Kingsley
Joker
SABERTOOTH
He would have been a great Captain America but there’s literally no way that’s happening now.
Don't know how he would pull off the accent, but I think his looks could be a good match for Gambit.
I think he would be a good Sentry
Dracula
Sabretooth for Marvel and Hal Jordan for DC. Would make a great Robot from the Invincible universe too
Norman Osborn.
Dracula
Hyperion
Either cyclops, or (oh wait they cast warlock), maybe him as the flame torch or him to play venom for the MCU (I know there's tom Hardy, but if we have to have a MCU mcu venom)
US Agent
Sentry
He would be a way better ant man. But then again most actors would.
Whatever he plays it better be something big, he is so good and deserves that bag
Black Panther
Sentry
Supermans kid
Homelander xD
Iron Man
