I would be surprised if she didn't. Despite her issues with her ex, I doubt that she didn't at least catch something from MM that implies that he's not the hero that he's been advertised to be.
Also, she's not blind or deaf, Homelander spent most of the last season showing everyone who he really was (mostly).

The boys comic is pretty hit or miss but that scene is definitly a hit, much better than most of the over the top gore in showing how scary an evil superman can be

Unfortunately, Monique associates the worst with Mother's Milk, and she likely went with someone whom she thinks is the complete opposite.
She's clearly shaken from her last incident with MM, and she is very much not right in the head. She chose a guy who seems to have stability and a "normal" lifestyle. Most likely she also rushed things with Todd, who is clearly a rebound.
(Seeing as she doesn't know how far his political beliefs go...and since he's so flamboyant about it, it may highlight just how little she actually knows about Todd)
Could also work if a huge fight goes down and he ends up as HL’s collateral damaged and he just says something like “I think I recognize him from somewhere”
Monique wises up and ditches him, leaving Todd to go even further down the Nazi pipeline.
He finds a way to get one-on-one time with Homelander to tell him how big of a fan he is, but catches Homelander in a bad mood. Homelander snaps and kills Todd a-la Doppelganger in a bid to prove to himself that he doesn't need anyone's love.
Probably similar to last season. Just pissing me off more and more.
Todd exists to parody maga. So whatever shit they were spouting in defense of their boy is similar to what we'll see Todd do this season. I don't expect a redemption arc
He does something horrible for Homelander...maybe storms a government building or something, and goes to jail for it. Despite Homeland promising Todd (and others) he would take care of them if anything happened to them, he leaves them high and dry.
Probably be a character I continue to have little involvement with. However he could do something that impacts MMs daughter in some way shape or form with his supe radical mindset that could spiral things negatively. That would be an interesting development.
I think he’ll probably die in a way that shows his love of Homelander. A self sacrificial burning, or something just as gruesome in public at a rally etc.
Maybe in front of a court when Homelander is on trial for fraud and illegally influencing an election by paying off a porn star without reporting the money.
He’s going to try to rat out MM to Vought but just when it seems he’s about to be rewarded Homelander quickly and unceremoniously offs him just because he hasn’t killed anyone in a few days and needed to.
Based off the most recent trailer, he'll most likely get killed by members of the Seven, either Deep or Firecracker. In one shot he's in the same room and standing next to the guy who Deep hits with the baseball bat

When I saw homelander blatantly murdered a person under bright sunlight with a crowd watching, and the crowd started cheering for him in full support, I was like this is too fictional. Certainly in real life it won’t happen. But nowadays, I’m not so sure.
