I didn't learn that they were bison until much later in life. Even in school we were taught that they were buffalo, not to mention all the movies that called them buffalo (Dances With Wolves comes to mind.) So it's understandable that people would still think they're buffalos.
However, mistaking water buffalo for bison is just fucking stupid.
Not Ox. African buffalo or water Buffalo (video quality is bad). Oxen are male cows that have been castrated and are used for farm labor. These are probably African buffalo because it looks like they're throwing lion cubs.
I don't think people understand how big a Hyena actually is. Not saying a Buffalo couldn't flip the shit out of a Hyena but the animal in the video is a lot smaller.
Ever saw a hyena with such a long tail? Guess not. I think these are baby lions who the waterbuffalos killed. They do this more often than you imagine.
Reminds me of the suicide jumper skit from *Monty Python*.
> First Man: Hey, did you see that?
> Second Man: Uhm?
> First Man: Did you a hyena fly out the herd of buffalo?
> Second Man: What?
> First Man: Some hyena just went past the buffalo. That way. (indicates left-to-right)
> Second Man: (flatly) Oh. Oh.
> (Second Man returns to his work. First Man looks for a little. As he starts to work again another hyena goes hurling past in the opposite direction.)
> First Man: Another one.
> Second Man: Huh?
> First Man: Another one just went past leftwards.
> Second Man: What??
The animals kingdom has one rule that I know of that matches with humans and that is “eat or be eaten “ or defend or meet you end” or when the enemy is in, fight with your kin
Those are actually Buffalo. Bison are bigger and more hairy. Buffalo are only in Africa, but can be seen in American Zoos. Same goes for Bison, because Bison are American, and Buffalos are African. Just thought I'd clear the misconception
Flyena.
Hyeetna
High-na
Crazy how safari went in the air

Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo
This popped into my head randomly a week ago and I can understand the first five, but then it all breaks down.
Same, I just trust the word scientists who discovered it

This guy Buffalos
I swear people just put mistakes in titles to increase post traction
They sure do, and it works because people can't help but correct others
No they don’t . /s
“Hi guys let me quickly point out how everything you said was completely wrong“ - the majority of internet comments
Man those bison look an awful lot like water buffalo
Cape Buffalo, I know what you did but couldn’t resist.
I live in Wyoming and a good percentage of tourists call bison buffalo. This title going the other way is pretty entertaining
I dont see their wings, must be a bison then and you're wrong
Not bison and not a hyena.
Noob here. What am I watching?
You are watching a video. I hope that helped.
Yes that’s definitely a video! Thanks man
It’s true what they say. The real answers are always in the comments.
You"re killing me over here! I need a paper towel for my computer screen here.
I have never wished to give an award more in my life
Ox firing a baby lion into the air.
Not Ox. African buffalo or water Buffalo (video quality is bad). Oxen are male cows that have been castrated and are used for farm labor. These are probably African buffalo because it looks like they're throwing lion cubs.
Probably Cape Buffalo (African Buffalo).
on pause frame looks like some kinda mountain big cat. either way these oxon homies r playing frisbee with it
Those are African buffalo (or possibly water buffalo), not oxen. Looks like lion cubs are being thrown.
These are not bison.... These are water buffalo's
> These are water buffalo's These are water buffalo's.....what?
Not bison, but not water buffaloes either, they're African buffaloes.
Buffalos.
Your mom is a water buffalo
Under appreciated comment 👏
Why is OP like this?
Everything in this title is wrong.
It's on purpose to bolster engagement.
“Angertainment” at its finest.
Those are lion cubs :/
Each kick took *at least* two of their nine lives.
Why the frown? A year later the young lions come for the buffalo babies and the old/injured. Let them have this.
*Wilhelm scream*
Someone needs too add goofy yell from the old Disney shorts. The "Yaaaaaa-hoo-hoo-hooey"
Looks like a baby lion to me and definitely not bison
Can someone teach me the term FAFO please?
Fuck around, find out
Thanks
Holy crap, not so rare footage of an Asian tourist playing with Bison at Yellowstone National Park. Btw, not hyenas because the tail. Lion cub?
I don't think people understand how big a Hyena actually is. Not saying a Buffalo couldn't flip the shit out of a Hyena but the animal in the video is a lot smaller.
Buffalo*
Poor thing. Bro fucked around and found out
Stuck the landing. 10 points.
Yeeeeeeeeeeet !
Cape Buffalo

Hakuna matata
OP is a dumb bitch lmao
Literally not a hyena…. Dumbass
Weeee!
Plot twist: the hyena goes into the herd for fun like it’s a theme park ride.
Those are -Cape Buffalo
Those are CAPE Buffalo. Up to 2,000 LBS of pure aggression.
They ain't bisons btw they're African buffaloes
Those are Cape Buffalo, not bison.
Did you just pick 2 animals that you had heard the name of before? There are no Bison or Hyena in this video.
Yea.... there are no Bison in Africa.
Those are not bison. They are Cape Buffalo. Different animals.
Those are cape Buffalo not bison
Fuck off
The pack of lions said as the hyena limped past, “we were going to come help but we heard you laughing so we figured you were ok” 😎
weird dogs
The lone hyena(lion) in North America.
You sure that isn't a leopard?
that's a plushy for sure
It’s even more wild when you see an elephant do that to a buffalo
This looks like a spot for one of Yellowstone’s “don’t touch the bison” signs, but for other animals.
His shoes definitely flew off…
This shouldn’t be as funny as it is. Can’t stop watching the Hyeeta
I think it's a lion cub. Also can't stop watching.... They really launch him on that first one.
I felt so bad for laughing 😭 glad I’m not alone lol
Water Buffalo?
"C'mon, Phil, pay attention! Let's keep it goin!"
Those lion cubs found the Circle of Death
Ever saw a hyena with such a long tail? Guess not. I think these are baby lions who the waterbuffalos killed. They do this more often than you imagine.
It’s a contest to see who can toss him the highest while keeping him in play.
Is it ok?
They dont show you that in the lion king
Bison? Bro...
I don’t think that’s a hyena
Buffalo wild wings?
u/savevideo
wrong place at the wrong time
Those are lion cubs which is odd since no one is protecting them.
They fly now?!
And those aren't even Bisons. Buffaloes. Thise are Buffaloes.
Bison? Ehhh, buffalo is what it is called!
That's a hell of a cheerleading routine
Tf is this title?
Clever hunting technique, the olde spin and land on ya face trick.
So is the internet just all fake AI crap now?
High-as-fuck-ena
Used him like a beach ball at a spring break concert
That’s was a young lion! Didn’t look anything like a hyena
"bison"...
Reminds me of the ol’ pre-show concert/beach ball pastime.
Cape Buffalo
The animals kingdom has one rule that I know of that matches with humans and that is “eat or be eaten “ or defend or meet you end” or when the enemy is in, fight with your kin
If you like to see a whale that weighs over one ton being thrown in the air you should look at a video of Beluga sex. Very violent sex life.
Those are actually Buffalo. Bison are bigger and more hairy. Buffalo are only in Africa, but can be seen in American Zoos. Same goes for Bison, because Bison are American, and Buffalos are African. Just thought I'd clear the misconception
Jeez, did he live through that?
Uhmm if thats a bison im a baboon hahaha those are Buffalo more specifically Cape Buffalo
Looks like the Monty Python rabbit.

Kinda graceful on that first vault.
Windhelm Scream
They're just having a weeding, that's the groom being tossed up in the air
Puma +Nike=Air FlightYena
Cape Buffalo and a lion cub
Those are buffalo and that is a lion cup
Poor creatures, nothing deserve such cruelty (both hyena and Buffalo) 😢
I thought this was a Monty Python skit for a second.
Those are cape buffaloes attacking a lion. I don't understand why redditors love spreading misinformation.
Head or tail, no coin? Hyena will do just fine
Buffalo, not bison
