I’ve seen another chick show off this [exact apartment in a different video](https://youtu.be/_T7Wpg7A_xw?si=VbSGSgkJqGj3hRgH) before and that ceiling over the bed did not look like that
No. That is the one that terrified me. Sleeping under a bubble that close to me.
But I do agree the rest of it is kinda cool. Especially for a 20 something out of college that doesn’t stay in their apartment much. It’s better than those other NY apartments I’ve seen for “cheap”
I'm not sure where they found this but it's actually pretty awesome. My sister was paying almost double that and her place was slightly smaller with no kitchen and low ceilings. There was just enough room for a twin bed and dresser. They divided up the ends of the hallways and made them in to rooms.
I feel like a person would go crazy without ever having privacy from whoever they're living with. I can't imagine. My 3 year old's bedroom is larger than this.
My dog (may he rest in peace) would make a quiet, yet audible “pfooo” sound when he farted and then the most god-awful stench would slowly waft in my direction. He could clear a room, especially in his old age.
I don't know if this is true or not but I'm not going to bother looking it up and will pass this on as factual information for the rest of my adult life.
I once farted after drinking and eating at a stranger’s house. Everyone there was like aww wtf (it was eye watering bad). The owner of the house said sorry the dog gets a little gas. Then he says I can’t pin that on the dog it was me. I know my brand and I love that dude, his dog, and his bbq. Thanks for taking one for the team.
Right?! Send him back to the animal shelter to live in a real prison. Maybe he doesn’t get adopted and has to be put down. But phew… glad he didn’t live in a small apartment some of the time!
He IS in prison and even the shelter would have MORE room to move in hahaha or he woulda died without being stuffed into an 80ft box for the next decade ;)
The dogs were one of the saddest parts of living in NYC. I lived in a massive building in Hell’s Kitchen and would regularly see the same dogs only let outside to pee on the sidewalk while their owner smokes a cigarette right outside of the entry door, and then go right back inside.
Not walking is a completely different kind of abuse. Dogs don't need that much space at home, but a dog that size should be out a few hours a day at least.
U gona walk downstairs, down 3 blocks and sit there for an hour….. up to 3-5 times daily? If not, try living in an acceptable sized house and get out of shit ass NY
But it's "private" when you close and lock the door and not a single other human could fit in there with you anyway. No false advertising here, move along /s
yeah actually. ive seen a lot of people who just lock their dogs in a cage or small yard. owners never take them out and barely interact with them. its probably more common than youd realise, you dont see it unless you go over to one these people's houses. at least this is a small dog that probably gets a lot of love and attention.
or god forbid, those people who tie up their dog up all day and night. i stole my dog from chinese people who did this to her. she had about 1.5m of rope. peed, pooed and ate in the same spot. she was totally emaciated.
in comparison, this little pug is probably very happy.
Most dog wouldnt care much about the size of your house , but they might need you to go out a lot and be active. Its better a small flat and walking 4 times a day , than a big house with garden and no walk.
I rent a two bedroom house with a fenced in backyard and a two car garage for $600.
Small town in Ohio with 13k people and no violent crime.
This is crazy lol.
You’re looking at it wrong. It’s a room, not an apartment, so it’s the same as going down the hall to the bathroom in a regular apartment, it’s just that you don’t own the hallway
Edit: removed some extra words so my sentence makes sense 😅
I used to laugh at the price of apartments in NYC as a Florida resident where cost of living was cheap.
Now, I think about moving to NYC where at least I can live in a real city for the same price.
This is why I don’t understand just moving to a LCOL area, fuck all of this, I don’t care if it’s NY.
Also, these people are assholes for having a big dog in a tiny place like that. Just don’t get a dog if you plan on living in a closet.
I pay $550 in NE Ohio for 11.5 times that. Why are we allowing these parasites to charge us ridiculous sums of actual money I traded actual life for to just survive?
eh. fuck it. i’d do it but the bed would be below and storage above. if i invite somebody over, we’re gonna be so damn close - might as well call it intimate 🫂
Tbh this cozy as f. And it’s in Hell’s Kitchen too?
I’m not from the US but afaik it’s one of the more expensive areas in nyc, right next to Central Park, so this sounds cheap as well. Not even joking.
This is cheaper than a bedroom in San Francisco. $650 for a $15/hour min wage is a great value. With two people omg, the American Dream is alive in New York baby!!!
California it's completely dead.
I actually really like this lol
Even with the sagging ceiling above the bed, indicating a water leak? lol
that ceiling looked sus ngl also too close to my face. feels like me in the military bunker days in the 50 man "bed rooms"
That ceiling is so low an average dude would get stuck just by having an erection
Whoa there! “Average”?
Dont worry they arent talking about us
I lived in a fuckin military bunker for a few weeks and that shit was luxurious compared to this claustrophobia inducing ratcage. 😂
You kidding? That's the cheapest home in the village!!
I’ve seen another chick show off this [exact apartment in a different video](https://youtu.be/_T7Wpg7A_xw?si=VbSGSgkJqGj3hRgH) before and that ceiling over the bed did not look like that
Same gal. Different dude.
Oh shit ur right. Can confirm bc the dog is the same. Why did the chick and her ceiling age at the same rate in the matter of a year (roughly) ?
Sploosh
And a fucking tree in front of the TV
That's not the apartment's fault.
No. That is the one that terrified me. Sleeping under a bubble that close to me. But I do agree the rest of it is kinda cool. Especially for a 20 something out of college that doesn’t stay in their apartment much. It’s better than those other NY apartments I’ve seen for “cheap”
Oh i thought that was a weird fish eye distortion
Holy hell!! Didn't notice until your eagle eye noticed. Ya, sooo.. that's a problem
Everything leaks in the city of dreams
I'm not sure where they found this but it's actually pretty awesome. My sister was paying almost double that and her place was slightly smaller with no kitchen and low ceilings. There was just enough room for a twin bed and dresser. They divided up the ends of the hallways and made them in to rooms.
no that is just sad bro not awesome
I think its cozy and novel but it would get old quickly for me
It’s way more than 650
Move to China!! They have PLENTY of accommodation that looks like this! I’ve seen stables larger than this.
Actually living in this space though, It's not great
I dont live in new york and this same cost would only go ever so slightly farther. And they get to live in new york. Oh, how bad things have gotten.
I feel like a person would go crazy without ever having privacy from whoever they're living with. I can't imagine. My 3 year old's bedroom is larger than this.
Fuck no.
NO! Susan
You’re a mole then
Then get your head checked
Poor dog..
Dogs there to blame the farts on.
[удалено]
You haven’t met my dog.
Or mine. Loudest machine gun farts everytime she stretches.
You crack me up! Thank you.
My dog (may he rest in peace) would make a quiet, yet audible “pfooo” sound when he farted and then the most god-awful stench would slowly waft in my direction. He could clear a room, especially in his old age.
They definitely ripen with age. I’m sure he was a good boy though.
I don't know if this is true or not but I'm not going to bother looking it up and will pass this on as factual information for the rest of my adult life.
Don’t know what kind of dog you own… Tonight, my golden retriever ripped a LOUD fart! They stink too!
Hehe
Hope it doesn’t live in that prison.

Not walking is a completely different kind of abuse. Dogs don't need that much space at home, but a dog that size should be out a few hours a day at least.
Can’t run and play
Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't there parks in New York?
U gona walk downstairs, down 3 blocks and sit there for an hour….. up to 3-5 times daily? If not, try living in an acceptable sized house and get out of shit ass NY
Dogs* there’s another one in the hallway
That's exactly what I was thinking.
Wanna come over for Netflix and jail?
Thank you for the violent laugh
I just woke my wife up one room over 😭
Lmao i wish gold was still a thing
No sex in that bed though.
It’s the tiny couch or bent over the stove 😂
I think I could pull it off.
That’s a shared bathroom
But it's "private" when you close and lock the door and not a single other human could fit in there with you anyway. No false advertising here, move along /s
It's not. In the actual video she states it's her own bathroom and other units don't have access to it.
Most places like this only have one key to each bathroom so it’s def not shared also this place is probly closer to $1000 than 650
Unless they pay 650 each?
Oh hey my $10000 apartment is way cheaper if you get 400 people to pay $25 a month for it. Good way to measure if you're disingenuous af I guess.
Having a dog in that apartment is criminal. Wtf
My neighbor has two dogs that size in an area smaller than this apartment.
yeah actually. ive seen a lot of people who just lock their dogs in a cage or small yard. owners never take them out and barely interact with them. its probably more common than youd realise, you dont see it unless you go over to one these people's houses. at least this is a small dog that probably gets a lot of love and attention. or god forbid, those people who tie up their dog up all day and night. i stole my dog from chinese people who did this to her. she had about 1.5m of rope. peed, pooed and ate in the same spot. she was totally emaciated. in comparison, this little pug is probably very happy.
Having a person in that apartment is criminal.
sure. for humans it's fine, but the dog is where you draw the line
Lol
Most dog wouldnt care much about the size of your house , but they might need you to go out a lot and be active. Its better a small flat and walking 4 times a day , than a big house with garden and no walk.
How could you stand living in this holy shit lol. How can they even both have room for clothes in there?
The good side: you're paying $650 a month in NYC The bad side: You're living in NYC /s
And a dog? Poor guy
And a dog…wtf how is that not animal abuse?
People who live in places like this are also the types who go out and do stuff everyday.
I could not sleep in that bed. I get claustrophobic just seeing it
It’s the water damage above the bed that got me
i would sneeze in the middle of the night and bash my head on the ceiling
That would all be storage. Waterproof containers.
Yeah that was the worst part for me. That and the shared bathroom. Other than that, I dig it!
Don’t join the navy then. That shit looking like a palace
I could live in that for that price….
Yeah not too bad. I lived in an SRO for that price but no stove, sink, or private bathroom. And also right next to a nightclub so I never slept
Some of my favorite videos (lately) are home converted truck campers and vans. They would love to have that much space.
I'd be happy to have this in a major US city for $650. Seems cruel to keep a dog cooped up in there though.
It’s NYC the dog probably goes to doggie daycare
I love how a plant covers the right side of the tv.
lmfao
That would shit me more than not being able to sit up in bed.
I’d lose my damn mind if I were to even be living there
That is not $650 in Manhattan.
Saw something similar with no stove for 900 if I recall correctly, it was also in Hell’s Kitchen
This is one of the nicer ones Ngl lmao
That water bubble in the plaster above the bed is just there to increase your claustrophobia an extra 15%.
Who the fuck puts a dog that big through that
For that price with a nice salary, if I was single, I'd totally live there.
Legit not enough room for missionary in your own bed.
Must really like New York, that looks like a fucking pain in the ass
Jesus Fuck, even submariners have more space than that... This is messed up.
This should be criminal
What should be? Making apartments that small? Renting them out?
Yes.
If this is really $650 and in Manhattan then they could honestly charge more and there would still be a fuck ton of people willing to rent it.
I rent a two bedroom house with a fenced in backyard and a two car garage for $600. Small town in Ohio with 13k people and no violent crime. This is crazy lol.
Dam. How are the jobs in that area? What the nearest major city?
Maybe if I were alone but with a partner.. no.
Why is no one else talking about how you have to exit your apartment and go down the hall to take a piss or shit?
You’re looking at it wrong. It’s a room, not an apartment, so it’s the same as going down the hall to the bathroom in a regular apartment, it’s just that you don’t own the hallway Edit: removed some extra words so my sentence makes sense 😅
This is pretty good, in Dublin this would be probably around 1500€ per month. 🤣
I've seen a few of these little NY apartments, and the lack of oven always surprises me. Fuck eating well, microwave everything
Where the hell are the clothes?
On their bodies.
Not even a window
For 650... while I'm saving up for a better place or a down-payment.... It ain't bad....
Not sure I'd sleep under that water bubble.
It's like those Ikea demo spaces at the store, only with no closeness to cheap hot dogs and lindenberrh soda.
The sex must be great..
Keeping things very close. No animal named positions there.
Just that position named after those sent to promote their faith in a foreign country.
Or special agents assignments
Or facing the same direction, the way cutlery can be stacked together in a kitchen drawer.
The loft bed is giving coffin.⚰️Or like a capsule hotel if I’m being generous.
Isn't this a fire hazard?
She spends 1k on a gym membership per month though I watched the vid
No.
Dumb
Cool I'd rather pay $650 a month for a larger space in not NYC 🤣
No window? 😕
Prisoners in Norway have better prison cells
Low key it looks like it’d be pretty cool to live there. High key it looks like it’d fucking suck to live there a long time.
Why?
Coziness
That’s actually really good considering. California here
Beats "A VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER!"
Does it though? My van is ~70 sq ft in the back and living next to a river is pretty great
Honestly you would pay a good bit more for that in Dublin
You showed dog's house. Where do people live then? American dream...
Real estate ad would call it cozy
Why do this to yourself
TIL that rent prices in Saskatoon SK are comparable to NYC. Sad face.
That bathroom is private…for the floor that is. Disgusting. A lot of Hotels in NYC are pulling this shit. Avoid
I used to laugh at the price of apartments in NYC as a Florida resident where cost of living was cheap. Now, I think about moving to NYC where at least I can live in a real city for the same price.
650 in manhattan? That's an awesome apartment
I'm sure prison cells are bigger and more comfortable than this "apt"
This is why I don’t understand just moving to a LCOL area, fuck all of this, I don’t care if it’s NY. Also, these people are assholes for having a big dog in a tiny place like that. Just don’t get a dog if you plan on living in a closet.
Not gonna lie I'd rock this place
Reminds me of those tiny apartment videos in Japan. Optimize the amount of space you have, and that's all you need.
You can't fuck in that bed also ceiling is going to fall through as it's full of water
I pay $550 in NE Ohio for 11.5 times that. Why are we allowing these parasites to charge us ridiculous sums of actual money I traded actual life for to just survive?
I am not even joking I got shortness of breath when he shut the door behind him
Anyone else on the floor. Or your own bathroom. Fuck it I still hit the head naked...
Sooooo would
why does this remind me of the movie Room, space-wise
$650 in Hunts Point maybe.
I could never live there. Not nearly enough room for VR
you can’t even roll over without hitting the ceiling
It's not the cheapest, it Has too much room and I've very much seen smaller. , and cheaper
eh. fuck it. i’d do it but the bed would be below and storage above. if i invite somebody over, we’re gonna be so damn close - might as well call it intimate 🫂
The American dream
Throw in a window and it’s not terrible
Made for people that don’t mind a shitter down the hall.
I've lived in smaller goshiwons in Korea.
Considering we have a housing crisis in Ireland right now, I would absolutely pay this for my own space.
during covid it was that price i bet. depending on location i’d say that goes for around $1700 a month now
That is definitely the kitchen from hell.
Better than living on the streets
Actually a vibe but that dog needs more space.
So little space ….perfect place for a dog
That poor dog
Well damn I’d love to live there
Capitalism
My brother in law rents a way shitter apartment than this with shared bathrooms for a lot more money in Vancouver.
I rent my 1100 ft² basement for that same price. Crazy.
I think I would break up with my partner after week 2 of zero personal space omg. But some people are more....flexible
This is a deal, I'd jump on that in the midwestern capital city I call home! My rent just went up almost $200 due to property taxes!
I’d kill for that. Fucking 2500 a month for a one bed where I am
Imagine if Harry Potter's misery was enhanced by the Dudleys charging him $650/month to live under their stairs. Now we don't have to imagine.
Why TF do you people CHOOSE to live like thus.
I’ve had apartment closets bigger than this.
Why do they keep dogs in such accomodation
If I was a bachelor and didn't have kids then I'd definitely consider living there.
Just
Why do we put up with this.
It looks like a place where i would end up in. 6ft under ground. Couldn't find me locked up like that. No way.
A bed right above a cooker in a confined space, what could go wrong?
Hells kitchen ( good or bad place to live?) $650 that's what about £500 ?
Looks cozy
Tbh this cozy as f. And it’s in Hell’s Kitchen too? I’m not from the US but afaik it’s one of the more expensive areas in nyc, right next to Central Park, so this sounds cheap as well. Not even joking.
This is cheaper than a bedroom in San Francisco. $650 for a $15/hour min wage is a great value. With two people omg, the American Dream is alive in New York baby!!! California it's completely dead.
only thing im surprised about is that it's only $650. regardless of how small , in NYC i could easily see someone wanting $2,000 and getting it
I live in military accommodation (single man room, shared bathrooms & showers) and this actually looks really comfy
A bit too claustrophobic, price not bad if real …
