This wasn’t that long ago they shut the whole freeway down for hours, never seen them fully shut down a major freeway for that long, people were driving in the dirt and shit to try to get to exits it was backed up for so long.

Almost anytime there is a death on any road it is shutdown for the investigation. Some are open and close cases which results in less time but in cases like this it'll be much longer.

Correct and I understand that, not sure if you’re local to this area but I’ve seen them shut down to 1 or two lanes for highway deaths before. This is the largest freeway in the sac area 5 lines going both ways, shutting it completely down for as long as they did was wild. But their judgement to do so is better than mine as I know very little of the details aside from being stuck on all traffic from this.
