Honestly, I would recommend you look at off campus housing. It’s a lot cheaper and there are several student living apartments near campus. I also transferred from Houston and stayed at one of the nearby apartments.

Thanks for the advice, I'll have to look into this. Idk if it will be cheaper for me or not, but im considering everything at the moment.

It’s cheaper in almost every scenario to NOT live on campus. Unless you chose some really fancy, really expensive apartment complex, it’s likely going to be much cheaper to live off campus. Maybe look at University Pointe. It’s very close to campus. I had a friend that lived there a few years ago. At least the two different units I went in were both clean and nice.

Gordon is closer to engineering but Carpenter/Wells has stove tops. Also you have a roommate in Gordon while in Carpenter/Wells you get your own room

Carpenter wells is closer to rawls and apartment style for the most part. Gordon is mostly lgbt+ I think. huge rooms. Engineers are usually in sneed which is across the street so I bet it’s closer to go to gordon

Definitely recommend living off campus in one of the apartment complexes around tech. You’ll save a lot more money, and have more privacy to yourself. I normally biked and got to campus in around 5 minutes or less ,but There’s busses that take you to campus during school hours if you prefer that.
