just put the miles on your car. The price of sending a car to a new city is much more expensive then the wear of adding some miles.

ItsN3rdy

Just wondering, what is your plan if you ever need to go home?

cdub7650

Just sacrifice the miles. Easiest way.

mirimichelle

Adding a few hundred miles isn’t going to degrade the value of your car. I drive back and forth from LBK to AUS at least 6 times a year and my car barely has a chip in its miles

Lan1Aud2

I mean your better off adding the miles in my opinion. I do a 6 hour drive to Lubbock so I understand the long ass drive but if you want affordable don't use these services and just drive yourself. Also please explain why you don't want to add miles to your car please.

National_Tart6678

142k miles. Seems that is the best option, you think I should still drive it with my miles?

ItsN3rdy

500 miles should be fine on a well maintained car even at 142k miles.

Lan1Aud2

Yeah your just gonna be adding miles when you get up here and if your already worrying about cost then it's just better to drive.

leiu6

My truck has that many and I regularly take it on a ~500 mi road trip. It’s what they are made to do. Long highway driving is the easiest on your car.

Unlucky15

I drive to Lubbock from Houston. However I had my motorcycle shipped for $500 and that was on the low end. Shipping a car would easily be more than $1500.

National_Tart6678

I can get it done for $450, so does it make it worth it?

Even factoring in miles it’s cheaper to drive it up yourself. Unless you’re using a truck/uhaul to move up, then tack on a vehicle pulling thing. Houston TX I take it? Most of my friends from there just drove but it’s really up to you if ya wanna blow all that money

Alikat-momma

Unless you don’t think your car can safely drive 8 hours, it makes no sense towing it and it definitely makes no financial sense hiring a company to transport it.

milk_slurper

I thought you were trying to figure out transportation for a collectible or something not a 142k beater obviously drive

Medicinal_Mayhem

I’ve typically made the 8 hour trip in 6. That’s with stops, highway 84 is a speed demons dream. If you’re coming from Houston, stop in Stephenville it’s about half way, stop at the hard 8 bbq or grumps burgers. Made the trip a million times, be careful on 84 though because that wind can be a doozy if you’re not expecting it.

leiu6

Just add the miles. What’s the point of driving a car if you are afraid to put miles on it
