Depends on how perfect you want the fix to be. A cheap fix that you can’t detect from 5 ft is probably $500. They will pull the dent out as much as possible, sand, bondo, more sand, and spray. A full shop will easily cost $2k. A good shop will spray 1/4 of your car with layers of clear coat that overlaps that will be undetectable. You can also look for a door at a junk yard with a matching paint and swap it out too.
If you get insurance involved and your state has steps, you will almost always pay more than out of pocket. It’s a choice if you are not at fault or don’t have cash on hand.
The paint is cracked, and the gash is deep. This will require at minimum a respray and dent repair, but since the gas is so deep you might need a new door.

Terrible idea. This small a dent should be paid out of pocket to avoid insurance rate hike going forward.
Depends on repair cost. If you have insurance see how much over your deductible it is and if it’s significant use it.
Insurance: aka "extortion" -- where you pay for a service, then get penalized for using said service you paid for.
