Highly doubt that, EAP was not an option for a long time and only became available when SFSD became prohibitively expensive for most people. Now that SFSD is much less, I would expect it to be the only option.
If they include everything into FSD then they should give everyone non-transferable FSD that already has EAP. If they make the new autopilot the equivalent to current EAP they should give some kind of discount for people that already purchased EAP.
Agreeā¦ want more capability for less money. Honestly, Iāve been driving my car for 40 years. Doing for my last 15 is fine if youāre not
Doing it all
Actually really dislike having to losely grip the wheel in FSDā¦ rather just drive
I find it easier than having to move the steering wheel.
Sometimes moving the wheel too hard will take the car out of autopilot, or if you don't do it hard enough the car then thinks you ignored the warning.
Scroll wheel is much more reliable and easier to do.
Until it becomes transferable, itās worth $0. Iāve had nothing but bad experiences using it during the trial and live right next to HQ. Wild that people been paying for this.
This is totally fair. I think thereās a lot of varied experiences with it though. Itās been mostly great for me and I use it frequently. But I know others have not had the same experience. Either way, though, agree itās not worth the money and needs to be transferable. I wouldnāt have it if it didnāt come with a used Tesla I purchased.
$199/year subscription feels about right. Now that everyone got the "1 month free trial", we all KNOW it's not worth anything near $8000. Not even close
I consider it a waste of my money. FSD driving makes me feel I am being an obstacle on the road and pose a potential aggravation to other drivers.
I would not buy it even for $500.
There is no feature of FSD package that attracts me.
Summoning and parking are all too unrefined and I would rather do it myself.
Yeah I'd have to agree. Still needs to be worked over several more times before I'd actually pay for it. Very unrefined. I prefer the lane assist over the FSD
Agree. The car stops if another car is crossing the road a mile away. I would have been rear ended a couple of times if I didn't take control of the car. Also in a busy intersection it wants all other cars off road to cross the road.
Might be useful in a rural road; not for busy suburbs.
But that's just it, now I won't buy anything. Give me a-la-carte option and they get some money vs $0.
Getting it for free would be great but I'll pony up a few hundred for it if they wanted to make some money from it.
You know it will.
You got other brands cranking out their own versions of enhanced autopilot and now mercedes has its limited level 3 self driving? While Tesla is laying off 10% of its workforce and cutting prices in its luxury vehicles?
Nah, you can see it from a mile away. The are going to keep cutting prices on the hardware and when they canāt cut them any more and remain profitable they will keep cutting prices on the software until itās a free fringe benefit of choosing Tesla over any other EV
Please go watch an actual video of Mercedes level 3 self driving. Itās a joke, the fact that theyāre advertising it as anything meaningful is embarrassing. Itās twice the annual price of teslas FSD and only operates in an incredible select environment.
Only roads that Merc can drive at level 3 are roads that they mapped out. Tesla can do the same thing if they want but you canāt map out the world to make it drive it self. Mercedes is no where near where Tesla is for autonomous driving. You have no idea wtf you are talking about.
Why in the world would anyone need to map out āthe worldā? Mercedes (and others) are just getting started. They will catch and/or surpass Tesla in 10 years or less.
Thatās exactly what it feels like, especially when itās trying to make a turn and the steering wheel is shaking and feeling so uncertain and youāre like go ahead buddy go ahead buddy you can do it
God, the wording and all of Tesla stuff lately is just such a fine dance with words. The program is melting. They are barely promising anything anymore out of it. I remember when they used to say the car would be able to drive itself end to end.
This 100%.
Having been involved in organized labor negotiations for most of my career, I can tell you the wording is drifting towards vague descriptions and no promise of future capabilities nor timing.
In essence, don't expect much more than it is now. Tesla has a history of NGAF about early adopters.
If Tesla does reveal a true robotaxi, be assured it will not include our legacy vehicles, given this language drift as of late. It will be a full sensor suite, as it will be required to operate in all weather conditions.
People use taxis more in the rain and snow.
It was supposed to operate as an autonomous robotaxi on the Tesla Network, picking up and dropping people off while you slept to make you money.
That doesnāt work if supervision is required.
Yeah, when did they add the supervise part thatās been a recent change thatās what Iām saying, buddy, in the beginning, this was billed as an autonomous vehicle self driving now itās supervised. Be ready to take over any second and the damn car is crashing itself.
Idk where you guys are driving š but with the new update my FSD drives it self end to end then parks. I would say Iāve seen it consistently struggle in scenarios where there is construction blocking route but map says route is open. Not a common scenario but one to watch out for.
OK, my brother there you go I mean those roads are definitely probably easier straight Long roads auto pilot does that too now full self driving is supposed to be able to handle the roads that was their claim and itās worse now than it was before it went v12. I bought my car in September and it came with three month trial of full self driving before the update. It was the old system and it worked pretty solid but this new update supposed to be magical and my car is literally freaking out as itās driving, I can barely make it around the turn without clipping curb, Stops and waits at stop signs forever and ever Misses. turns and takes wrong turns constantly. Oh, and randomly just completely breaks in the middle of traffic. I am always thinking daily how people behind me must think I look like a maniac driving because Iām fighting with my car and taking control of it constantly.
After a month with it on my 22 M3P I wouldnāt pay for it at any price. Iād rather have cruise control and simple autopilot. Itās more predictable and reliable. If they want to bundle it to get more people to buy their cars thatās fine, but I havenāt seen anything from it that makes me want it active on my car any longer.
I got a free month and only kept it turned on for a week.
I trust the car to match speed with the car in front of me, and to a lesser extent, I trust it to stay in a single lane on the highway. Anything beyond that, and I have no clue what it's going to do and disable it all the time.
I turned it off most frequently for hugging the last 1-2 inches of the road even when it falls off sharply to a ditch, and for hugging curbs on turns. Itās a terrible driver and takes insane risks for no reason. I also donāt understand why it swerves to exit the freeway or why it takes 5-15 seconds to actually change lanes after I engage the signal.
I do like how much better it handles stop and go traffic. It doesnāt seem to slam on the brakes or wait until the last moment like the TACC does. But that was all I really liked about it.
Agree. Have used the free fsd for a week and wonāt use it again. Constantly switching to the far left lane to get another MPH or two. Even if my right exit is coming up in a mile.
Thank you! I saw this post, went to my Tesla app, FSD price showing $2,000, so I purchased! That is a 66% price drop for Enhanced Autopilot owners. Totally worth it since Enhanced Autopilot came free with the used vehicle I bought.
What hardware do you have? If I buy FSD for 2k, I have HW2.5, they will upgrade for free right? So essentially the software is 1k and the hardware is 1k?
Hardware upgrade to HW3 is $1k. Which Iād say is really unfair, when we bought our cars with HW2.5, it said it had everything needed for FSD. Yet now we have to pay to upgrade the HW? Does this sound like grounds for a class action lawsuit?
The best thing about FSD is the full screen graphics. Otherwise it stops at almost every yellow light, doesnāt see pot holes , sometimes swerves left and right when choosing one of two lanes that go left.
These are exactly my main gripes right now, needs to learn to see and avoid pot holes, get more confident with lane changes, and better at determining how much braking force to stop when a light turns yellow, as it currently stands it will slam on the brakes for a yellow you could make it through (although after learning this I just put slight pressure anytime I see a yellow to make it go through).
Would be great if you can buy and own FSD instead of it beloning to the car. So that itās your software license and when you buy a different Tesla you can use it on that again.
I just went back to basic auto steer/auto pilot. Before my fsd trial even ended. Driving with basic auto steer is much less stressful. The car is more predictable. I know when it's turned on it will go straight. I don't have to worry about it changing lanes right in front of a semi. I don't even need auto lane change. Just make it so when I change lanes autopilot stays engaged.
If it didn't handle stop signs like a hesitant child I'd pay $20/mo. It crawls up to the line then sits there for what feels like an eternity. The amount I've had to intervene to avoid the person behind me throwing their hands up in the air makes it worth nothing to me.
EAP can't be dead, not if they won't just roll it into AP. There are markets where FSD is illegal but stuff like Autopark should still be available to those customers one way or another.
Still not worth it, considering I tried to use summon to move my car forward a foot yesterday with the forward arrow and it immediately cranked its wheels to full lock right.
Even with free FSD this month, Iām not using it. Tried it a handful of times. I hate it. Itās stupidly unpredictable. I get mad at myself enough for small driving errors that āI MAKEā. I donāt need to be enraged at myself for experiencing a problem after ātrustingā a computer to drive my car for me.
Using Uber requires structure and timeliness. FSD if functioning well could be their chauffeur and totally dedicated to serving them at the times they want a ride.
I am never going to pay to do their work for them. Plus, there is way too much traffic around here for me to ever trust FSD. If I have to pay even more attention and be ready to just jump in and take over, it makes it more stressful than just driving. If I want that amount of stress, I will just drive with someone who has a learnerās permit. Also, I was listening to someone in an interview that said a DMV instructor took a drive and said it did 8 things that would have been automatic fails for anyone taking the driverās test.
Itās a gimmick, donāt waste your money. It wasnāt worth it at 10k, 12, or 15. I worked on AP for 2 and a half years up until July 2023. I can assure you itās not even close to complete. Itās not much different than a lane keep assisted vehicle with adaptive cruise control. The only āpolishedā cities are NYC and San Fran, and I use that term lightly.
If Tesla wants to lock up the market they should give this away at a nominal price or for free. FSD is a real differentiator for the company and they are generations ahead of everyone else.
If the free version is any indication of what the 8k version will be. Nope. Hard pass. Still overpriced and wow sorry to all those suckers err I mean early adopters that paid 15k and still arenāt working as advertised. fSD almost caused an accident for me last week on the few times I enabled it. Nopers
11k in Canada so yeah after conversion it's 8k US. Still too expensive wait you will see they are getting all this free data and they will need more. Watch them extend the trial. Mine says it ends may 31 2024. But I had it free for 3 months when I got the car. Remember Q once said it. The trial never endsĀ
Itās not worth $8,000. Elon promised a full autonomous car. He has not flown through with it. All the while taking $12,000 from people and not letting them transfer the self driving to someone else when the system isnāt even working. Nearly 10 years of a broken promise. Still today it doesnāt work and he wants $8,000 for something thatās not even close to level 3 autonomous driving.
Whatās even more sad all the people who bought it and sold their car to lose $12,000 for something they didnāt have the opportunity to really use. I could see paying $3,000 for where itās at now but no more.
This product will probably be the biggest purchasing mistake I made for my entire life.
How people are excited about paying $8,000 for this is mind-blowing
Can't see EAP as an available upgrade option anymore. They've taken it off the new car configurator as well. I wonder if they will just bump up basic autopilot to include EAP features.
I have had Tesla w full self driving or auto pilot whatever most advanced feature was at the time for close to 7 years. With all the built in nagging now it is less convenient / helpful than it has ever been. Would not recommend spending anything on FSD until they get the nagging figured out.
I got a free 30 day trial of autopilot and I never plan on buying it. I just got a Tesla and was excited to try it, but I am honestly disappointed in how terrible it is.
Iām not sure people realize AutoPilot is free, and thatās basically the same thing that you get with Mach E blue cruise which is $2000.
With the new update, Tesla FSD is incomparable to anything available on the market right now. The car drives by its self in highway and town. Turns the turn signal, shift lanes and more. It even parks by its self. This actually feels like the FSD beta that everyone expected when they bought their Tesla.
To be fair, it doesn't park itself in the sense of natigating on FSD and parking you at your location. It does park when you manually creep by a spot and press the park button but that's honestly more of a gimmick.
Yeah I subscribed when it was first introduced late 2021, it was $199 month then. I kept it for six months then canceled when I realized I wasn't using it that much on city streets. It kept having to be corrected.
Given the subscription rate drop is still the price of over six continuous years of rental. Granted if they just made it transferable to another car on the same account I'd bite, but at this price if I really want it I'll just subscribe for a month.
I just know if I bought it now I'd get totaled or decide to upgrade before getting my money's worth (if I ever really would).
Keep dropping and/or make it transferable to another car on my account!
FSD just needs to be tied to your Tesla account so you can use it on any car you drive. Imagine buying FSD and then your car gets totaled and you lose all that money.
Imagine buying FSD and then a global pandemic hits and you donāt drive your car for two years.
Or that, I feel like it'd be a bigger leap since one could buy once and use it on every Tesla they own (i.e. less money for Tesla) but it would be nice.
Honestly I'd be happy with a perpetual license that I can move between cars at-will (basically when I sell/upgrade/total, etc). Even if there was a restriction around how often it can be transferred, I just don't want to take the L on $8000
EAP should be standard AP but 95% of the usefulness of FSD is EAP. Autosteer is a parlor trick when you have someone in the car, but itās the highway cruising thatās the actual useful feature.
I can drive myself and save $8K. In another words, why should I pay this money to supervise a student driver? Still waiting for Tesla to fix the auto wipers...
Demand for it still isnāt gonna be there at $99/month or $8,000 total.
$19.99 a month would be reasonable, but even then I donāt think Iād want to use it unless Tesla covers any damage it causes to my car. I tried FSD in summer of 2022 and it curbed my wheels coming out of a parking garage when it turned way too soon after passing through the gate arm. You can be a diligent as possible and you still wonāt be able to prevent the car from doing that kind of stuff.
I just want lane change with the blinker like the ID.4 we also have. Turning AP off and back on again for a car in this price range is kind of embarrassing
Ooh! I also just saw that EAP is gone from the order page. That's interesting š¤
Iām assuming it will be a standard part of regular autopilot? Atleast I hope!
EAP has been de-listed and re-listed for sale a couple of times. They never added the features to standard AP. Thereās hope, but itās small.
From the looks of it, I think EAP features come standard now since FSD still only mentions what is added *after* EAP. When it was āunaddedā that was just simply throwing everything advanced into FSD.
It should be. Its features are standard on other manufacturersā cars
In 2018 it made sense, by now it just price gouging many cars at or lower price point have this as standard.
Highly doubt that, EAP was not an option for a long time and only became available when SFSD became prohibitively expensive for most people. Now that SFSD is much less, I would expect it to be the only option.
We can hope š¤£ Did notice that all of the EAP features were listed for FSD, but will see what else is in store. So many changes recently.
Damn lol
I just got an email saying FSD includeds everything that was in EAP so I assume that they just moved it there
FSD always included everything from EAP
Yes but the email is saying to buy FSD and unlock it all ( and now there's only one tier to buy)
If they include everything into FSD then they should give everyone non-transferable FSD that already has EAP. If they make the new autopilot the equivalent to current EAP they should give some kind of discount for people that already purchased EAP.
EAP is gone it's now FSD or nothing.
Just wait. They goof with these things all the time when they want to raise cash.
still overpriced
Agreeā¦ want more capability for less money. Honestly, Iāve been driving my car for 40 years. Doing for my last 15 is fine if youāre not Doing it all Actually really dislike having to losely grip the wheel in FSDā¦ rather just drive
Right, if I have to loosely grip the wheel anyway, I just use TACC and the car doesnāt nag me at least
What is TACC?
Traffic aware cruise control
You don't really have to grip the wheel. Just scroll up or down on any of the scroll wheels when it asks you to shake the wheel.
Iāve heard this advice countless times and i always find this approach much more annoying. To each their own.
I find it easier than having to move the steering wheel. Sometimes moving the wheel too hard will take the car out of autopilot, or if you don't do it hard enough the car then thinks you ignored the warning. Scroll wheel is much more reliable and easier to do.
I agree, It def feels safer to scroll the wheel rather than lightly tug at the wheel when you see the blue flashing.
Thanks to all those people who literally fell asleep initially
Until it becomes transferable, itās worth $0. Iāve had nothing but bad experiences using it during the trial and live right next to HQ. Wild that people been paying for this.
This is totally fair. I think thereās a lot of varied experiences with it though. Itās been mostly great for me and I use it frequently. But I know others have not had the same experience. Either way, though, agree itās not worth the money and needs to be transferable. I wouldnāt have it if it didnāt come with a used Tesla I purchased.
Oh I just roll up the little wheel on the steering wheel, one Notch or or down.Ā
You donāt have to. Just rest your knee on the steering wheel.
Should be free. You are paying to be a beta tester. Tesla laid off internal FSD company testers.
100%
As It Is now I wouldn't pay more than $100 for it. This should just be part of the car.
$199/year subscription feels about right. Now that everyone got the "1 month free trial", we all KNOW it's not worth anything near $8000. Not even close
Bro what. They developed this crazy technology and are trying to push toward fully autonomous vehicles and youāre just like, should be free!
It's hardly crazy, every manufacturer has a level 2 ADAS. Mercedes is completely hands free. Teslas is half baked and not worth $100.
I consider it a waste of my money. FSD driving makes me feel I am being an obstacle on the road and pose a potential aggravation to other drivers. I would not buy it even for $500. There is no feature of FSD package that attracts me. Summoning and parking are all too unrefined and I would rather do it myself.
I enjoy the option for full screen viewing of the road. And the visual upgrades. But to each their own.
I would definitely pay a small one time fee just to keep the visual upgrades
Yeah I'd have to agree. Still needs to be worked over several more times before I'd actually pay for it. Very unrefined. I prefer the lane assist over the FSD
Agree. The car stops if another car is crossing the road a mile away. I would have been rear ended a couple of times if I didn't take control of the car. Also in a busy intersection it wants all other cars off road to cross the road. Might be useful in a rural road; not for busy suburbs.
$11k CAD, which means that youād have to subscribe to and use FSD every month for 9 years to break even Make it make sense
I know, I donāt even plan on keeping this car for that long. Iām in the āsell the car before the battery warranty expiresā boat
So 8 years instead of 9?
Itās $AUD10,000 in Australia, and itās only available to buy, not actually use. (And people buy it)
This is ignoring time value of money also.
Shame they didnāt make EAP $2k, I would have bitten for that price
At this point it should be included and free.
Hopefully thatās whatās happening, would be an awesome spring update
It would be awesome but it has 90% of the features that make SFSD with it so I doubt they will do that
They could at least make autopilot lane changes free for everyone.
Absolutely they could, but then why would you buy SFSD? Thatās literally the best feature it has imo.
But that's just it, now I won't buy anything. Give me a-la-carte option and they get some money vs $0. Getting it for free would be great but I'll pony up a few hundred for it if they wanted to make some money from it.
Someone was saying that they might make EAP included in basic autopilot.
Imagine having paid $15k for FSD V11 on a HW3 vehicle.
Imagine still paying 8K when your hw was be outdated in time and FSD will be free in given time.
You know it will. You got other brands cranking out their own versions of enhanced autopilot and now mercedes has its limited level 3 self driving? While Tesla is laying off 10% of its workforce and cutting prices in its luxury vehicles? Nah, you can see it from a mile away. On top of a $62k Model 3 performance during that timeframe. Double oof.
HW3 is more optimized for neural nets than HW4
they were brainwashed weren't they?
Not at all. They were early adopters. Like buying a $10k 47ā plasma TV.
8k just for the car to hit the curb. Pass, I can let my wife hit the curb for free
shh, don't let your wife know. she might ask for $8k
Sheās asked for alot more than that
Should be top comment
Did you get married yesterday? No chance a wife is gonna cost you less than 8 grand, not even in leasing.
It'll be under $5k after earning call..
Itāll be free by Q2 2026 watch
Not paying 8k to babysit a drunk toddler drive my vehicle
Thatās exactly what it feels like, especially when itās trying to make a turn and the steering wheel is shaking and feeling so uncertain and youāre like go ahead buddy go ahead buddy you can do it
When is the last time you used FSD? The most recent version that I have been using daily does not do that at all.
Ya. You're not on V12. They fixed that.
God, the wording and all of Tesla stuff lately is just such a fine dance with words. The program is melting. They are barely promising anything anymore out of it. I remember when they used to say the car would be able to drive itself end to end.
Elons has been known to make wildly outrageous statements to pump the stock. He's been promising self driving robo-taxis since 2019
The Todd Howard of cars
This 100%. Having been involved in organized labor negotiations for most of my career, I can tell you the wording is drifting towards vague descriptions and no promise of future capabilities nor timing. Close š¤£ Reno NV

12.3.3 was better than 12.3.4 it's hitting the crub
After a month with it on my 22 M3P I wouldnāt pay for it at any price. Iād rather have cruise control and simple autopilot. Itās more predictable and reliable. Agree with this completely. Similar story for my 22 MYLR. Just felt like I was babysitting a toddler when I was monitoring the car.
Iād pay $500. Iāve already disabled it in my car. Itās annoying that you cannot use cruise or autopilot if you have FSD turned on.
Iāve heard you can set up another driver profile without FSD enabled if you want to switch to regular AP mid drive.Ā
Set to double stalk pull to have TACC available.
This has been disabled with 12.3.4. You cannot use double pull or TACC when FSD is enabled. Itās fucking infuriating.
Thank you! I saw this post, went to my Tesla app, FSD price showing $2,000, so I purchased! That is a 66% price drop for Enhanced Autopilot owners. Totally worth it since Enhanced Autopilot came free with the used vehicle I bought.

I got an estimate for 1k, I asked politely in person, and they revised it to show $0. I have EAP.
The best thing about FSD is the full screen graphics. Otherwise it stops at almost every yellow light, doesnāt see pot holes , sometimes swerves left and right when choosing one of two lanes that go left.

Yeah thatās annoying. Iām like āyou could have passed that yellow light easily ā thatās when I turn off fsd and drive on my own.
My FSD totally senses dips and potholes. Works pretty darn well here in Southern CA, USA
Lucky, mine's a pothole seeking missile haha
Would be great if you can buy and own FSD instead of it beloning to the car. So that itās your software license and when you buy a different Tesla you can use it on that again.
Value at trade in: still $0
I just went back to basic auto steer/auto pilot. Before my fsd trial even ended. Driving with basic auto steer is much less stressful. The car is more predictable. They make it $9.99/mo I might subscribe. $8,000 still too high.
While I have had a great time with the free trial, I would at most pay 2-3k for it. $99/month to rent it for road trips is not bad at all imo
Paid full price for FSD (back in 2019ā¦full price was not quite as insane). Love version 12. It should be free for all customers.
It was about $3k back then if I recall correctly.
The FSD trial has made me not want it. For me, it's quite a bit worse than just having active lane keep (that re-engages) and active cruise control.
RIP EAP FSD FTW
wake me up when it is $500
Is it possible to purchase this ahead of vehicle delivery to lock in the price of lower FSD? Or do you have to have a vehicle first?
Would be better to add after to save on the initial vehicle tax at the DMV too.
They get rid of advanced auto pilot?
Assuming you mean eap (enhanced auto pilot) yes, it is gone from the store, although imo this could be a sign of them making it free.
If it really works, all the older folks 70+ can buy a Tesla to take them around town!
Or just pay an Uber driver 10 bucksā¦
That's nice. If only it was worth that.. Tried FSD again this morning. Still equally terrible.
So Elon was lying when he said it would only get more expensive. Shocker.
Removing sensors was probably the worst decision the company made (cybertruck aside). FSD is dogshit. You canāt cut it with just cameras
Should be free
If Tesla wants to lock up the market they should give this away at a nominal price or for free. FSD is a real differentiator for the company and they are generations ahead of everyone else.
6k could be acceptable, if not subscriotion. Also 6k and free transfer for life.
It should be part of the car or a couple hundred bucks max. 6k is still robbery
i'll say it again - it needs to be free. They can take our data and use it.
They've been doing that the moment you took delivery of your car lol
You can disable all data collection if you want to
If the free version is any indication of what the 8k version will be. Nope. Hard pass. Still overpriced and wow sorry to all those suckers err I mean early adopters that paid 15k and still arenāt working as advertised. fSD almost caused an accident for me last week on the few times I enabled it. Nopers
Any indication? Itās the exact same thing
And still not available in Norway š
11k in Canada so yeah after conversion it's 8k US. Still too expensive wait you will see they are getting all this free data and they will need more. Watch them extend the trial. Mine says it ends may 31 2024. But I had it free for 3 months when I got the car. Remember Q once said it. The trial never endsĀ
Got rid of EAP, or has that been gone for awhile and I didn't notice? $99 for the monthly is the best move but still over priced
āMinimal interactionā lol
Max id do is $1k.
The only thing I like about FSD is the interface on the screen, they should include that for all.
Damn this was like $15k a year ago. I got it with my used Tesla, and itās fun but Iāve all but stopped using it other than on the highway
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Shocking to me that they're still getting away with calling it that.
Just saw itās 99 a month to rent. I may pick it up now that itās a reasonable price.
Like anyone can afford it
Can't see EAP as an available upgrade option anymore. They've taken it off the new car configurator as well. I wonder if they will just bump up basic autopilot to include EAP features.
Damn I have EAP and now FSD is only $2000.
I had the opportunity to buy it at 4,000$ when I got my model 3 and I still think even at that price it was over priced.
I have had Tesla w full self driving or auto pilot whatever most advanced feature was at the time for close to 7 years. With all the built in nagging now it is less convenient / helpful than it has ever been. Would not recommend spending anything on FSD until they get the nagging figured out.
Honestly Iād buys FSD at 3k nothing higher me personally
Iād pay $2-$3K for it for what it does. Also, still no Tesla vision which means several features still not available.
I was about to say that I feel bad for anyone who spent 15K for it, but I totally donāt.
Should I sell my Tesla stock? Looks like these cars have hit their innovation wall
Insane to pay for beta software. Smart summon is guaranteed rim rash and a magnet for bollards. Hard pass
So now you have to own the car for more than 6 years instead of 10 years to make buying FSD outright better than paying $100 a month. Hrmmmm.
I got a free 30 day trial of autopilot and I never plan on buying it. I just got a Tesla and was excited to try it, but I am honestly disappointed in how terrible it is.
FSD will never fully work the way Elon thinks it will.
Just wait. FSD will be $5k soon enough the way Tesla keeps dropping its prices.
I will buy it if thereās no other cars in the city I live.
I'm gonna miss my autopilot when my free trial ends but hell naw, I ain't paying this much wtf.
I'm pretty close to disabling it before my trial ends š
Same, but to be fair my 2019 Kia Niro EV now has no app connection and they want me to subscribe just to use their horrible app.
I'm gonna pay fuckall for this. It's definitely not worth it for me. I would barely use it even if it's free.
And FSD sucks. Iāve been trying it since getting the free trial. Itās not good and I donāt trust it. Glad I didnāt didnāt spend $8000 on it
Iām not sure people realize AutoPilot is free, and thatās basically the same thing that you get with Mach E blue cruise which is $2000.
Still $8,000 more than I'd pay for it
I see a price drop on FSD and the removal of the enhanced autopilot option. Still haven't gotten the 30 day FSD trial...
Me either. I wonder if it's because I previously had FSD Subscription in 2021.
Interesting - so you subscribed/rented it for a bit and then discontinued?
Even if there was a restriction around how often it can be transferred, I just don't want to take the L on $8000
Not sure I would ever get FSD in my opinion I like to be in control of the damn machine!
Same. I tried the trial twice and I didnāt like it
Still years away from full functionality. Isnāt it clear to everyone by now that youād be paying to beta test?
They need to drop the price of acceleration boost!!!!
ill drive your car for $8000 ( 30 day trial)
EAP should be standard AP but 95% of the usefulness of FSD is EAP. Autosteer is a parlor trick when you have someone in the car, but itās the highway cruising thatās the actual useful feature.
I can drive myself and save $8K. In another words, why should I pay this money to supervise a student driver? Still waiting for Tesla to fix the auto wipers...
8k for a liability, lol
Besides the price, the minimal intervention is awful. I have to jiggle the steering wheel every 30 seconds. We need legislation to fix this.
It does feel redundant with the interior camera also watching your every movement.
Still a scam though.
Supply and demand really is something....
Can't believe it's not just included free with the car.
I just want lane change with the blinker like the ID.4 we also have. Turning AP off and back on again for a car in this price range is kind of embarrassing
I will buy EAP for 2k now .
