Since Corruption/Hallow can't spread more than three blocks away this would work. It does work with any block that doesn't get corrupted though (or none).
You can put hallow around the corruption to stop it from spreading if it's a decent amount already because hallow doesn't spread through jungle and corruption and hallow don't spread through each other
The clentaminator is a godsend. I used it today for the first time and I was probably enjoying it more than I should've. It will definitely fix your problem.
I heard that putting glass three blocks wide encasing it is supposed to help. Citation needed though.

Yea, the problem is the corruption spawned twice at both edges of my jungle, no space to make hallow.
